Men who have been a victim of domestic abuse, how difficult was it to seek help and how seriously were you taken once you did? Thanks. I've gotten better but I still have my bad days. My therapist and my psychiatric are both sure she's a sociopath. If you'd like to know more details I can send you a pm | /r/MensRights | 24/03/17 04:53 PM
Men who have been a victim of domestic abuse, how difficult was it to seek help and how seriously were you taken once you did?I don't mind. It never came up during our relationship and it only came up when she left me. After a bunch of back and forth...she finally just told me I was abusive, controlling and was solely responsible for not only everything wrong in her life but also for everything wrong in and the death of our relationship. I'll repost what I have posted before about it and I'll send you a pm with more personal information: My ex girlfriend dumped me a year ago (with a text message, a week before Christma… | /r/MensRights | 24/03/17 04:45 PM
Men who have been a victim of domestic abuse, how difficult was it to seek help and how seriously were you taken once you did?My ex convinced me that I was abusing her and I believed her, so I went to get help. In doing that every person I talked to (therapists, psychologists, support groups, women who have been abused, friends and family) told me that I was the one being abused. It took a very long time for me to accept that. It's been a little over a year now but I still have those days where her voice calling me a monster is to powerful to shut out. Where I will question whether or not I was the monster she claimed … | /r/MensRights | 24/03/17 06:13 AM
Girls if you hit, slap, belittle, kick, punch, choke, throw things at, or control your boyfriends, you are the abuser.Nothing cold about it. I agree with you. I was just posting my story about the abuse I suffered at the hands of my ex girlfriend. | /r/MensRights | 27/02/17 11:35 AM
Girls if you hit, slap, belittle, kick, punch, choke, throw things at, or control your boyfriends, you are the abuser.I've posted this a few times, but it fits here. My ex girlfriend dumped me a year ago (with a text message, a week before Christmas). I was with my ex girlfriend for almost 3 years when it ended. We talked and planned about; marriage, kids and spending the rest of our lives together. Hell, I was a week away from asking her to marry me when she left. I tried so hard to save my relationship. I became extremely dependent on her. She was my best friend. I trusted her completely and I never questione… | /r/MensRights | 24/02/17 09:52 PM
Millennial Entitlement in the workplace leading to a lot of false harassment claims about men? Thanks for the reply. I wasn't able to find the job posting but I'll keep my eye out. Thank you Edit: I saw that they need a weapons modeler. While I meet the requirement of "leaving and breathing weapons". I don't know how to do hard surface modeling and have zero experience in game design. While I'm a very quick learner, I doubt they'd send me to school for it. | /r/MensRights | 04/01/17 09:12 AM
Millennial Entitlement in the workplace leading to a lot of false harassment claims about men?Um...you wouldn't happen to be still hiring and happen to be in WI? | /r/MensRights | 04/01/17 06:08 AM
Just because women are more likely to come forward does not mean they are higher risk. In fact the higher level of male suicides suggests men are not comfortable about coming forward and are less likely to get help. This isn't easy for me...but since December, I have gone through boughts of being incredibly suicidal. My girlfriend dumped me a week before I was going to ask her to marry me, which I was going to do on Christmas. To make a long story short, she had me convinced I had been abusing her, both mentally and emotionally. After a lot of therapy, it turns out I was the one being abused. But through out that entire time I was thinking about killing myself. I don't know how or why but I became so depend… | /r/MensRights | 30/09/16 05:23 AM
A bit old, but oh my goodness. Ex-DICE coder claiming Battlefield 1 is "sexist" for not including female soldiers. Even history isn't safe from feminists. You're correct. However, she is with Lawrence of Arabia and the rest of the Arab Rebellion against the Ottoman Empire. | /r/MensRights | 30/09/16 05:03 AM
Male Lives Matter: Unarmed male Terence Crutcher shot and killed by police in TulsaI'm not sure why the other officer did not draw her Taser. It could be department policy or she felt as though she needed to have her gun drawn. But it makes sense. One officer had a non-lethal option ready to go, the other had a lethal option. There's no guarantee that a second Taser will stop the suspect. Like I said before, Tasers are unreliable. Bullets on the other hand...work. I don't want this to turn into a debate of guns in the US..but majority of the Law Enforcement in this country sup… | /r/MensRights | 21/09/16 10:25 AM
Male Lives Matter: Unarmed male Terence Crutcher shot and killed by police in TulsaTasers are not 100% foolproof. Everything I have read says that one officer did deploy his Taser, but the suspect continued to reach into his vehicle. At which time the other officer shot him. And there is no "gun situation" in the US. Violent crime has been falling for the last 20 years according to the FBI. Don't believe what you hear in the news. The US is not the wild west. I honestly don't see this as a white female cop killed a black male. I see it as a police officer shot a suspect who la… | /r/MensRights | 21/09/16 10:02 AM
17-Year-Old Faces Child Porn, Assault Charges for Consensual Sex with GirlfriendAnd he's 17, so he couldn't consent either. She IS just as guilty and responsible as he is. | /r/MensRights | 17/09/16 01:44 AM
17-Year-Old Faces Child Porn, Assault Charges for Consensual Sex with GirlfriendSo...just because she sent them to a boy she can't be held legally responsible for it. Wow...if that is some of the most sexist shit I have ever read. | /r/MensRights | 17/09/16 01:42 AM
17-Year-Old Faces Child Porn, Assault Charges for Consensual Sex with GirlfriendOnly because of that? So she's free and clear on sending and making child porn? | /r/MensRights | 16/09/16 01:22 PM
17-Year-Old Faces Child Porn, Assault Charges for Consensual Sex with GirlfriendThen she should be prosecuted as well. | /r/MensRights | 16/09/16 11:57 AM
17-Year-Old Faces Child Porn, Assault Charges for Consensual Sex with GirlfriendI don't know of you're a troll or just a moron... But by your own logic the girl should be charged with Exploitation of a Minor, Manufacturing and Distribution of Child Poronagraphy and finally Rape of a Minor. After all...she admitted to taking the pictures and that the sex was consensual. Well under the law, which according to you needs to be strictly enforced, she should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law as well. Because as you have been arguing, the law doesn't make any distinct… | /r/MensRights | 16/09/16 11:14 AM
Feminists are now claiming that MRA's are "rushing to victimhood" and men as a sex are to blame for abuse men suffer. The sheer, absolute projection and cognitive dissonance from the feminist author is actually astounding. As a man who was very emotionally and mentally abused by my ex girlfriend....shit like this pisses me off to no end. In no way did I deserve the way she treated me. I will fully admit I made mistakes. Did I yell when I shouldn't have? Yes, yes I did. Did I get angry at things I shouldn't have gotten angry at? Absolutely. I'm not perfect but I tried my best to learn from my mistakes. Besides that, she was absolutely everything to me. The absolute last thing in the world I wanted to do to her was … | /r/MensRights | 16/09/16 08:32 AM
