Set a great goal (physical is a good one) and reach it no matter what anyone else says. People here recommend lifting so much because it is sooo good for your mental health.

You are the sum of the 5 people you spend the most time with - I used to be really annoyed that I wasn't smart enough to continue onto a PhD program at the uni I attended. Once I left uni and got a job, I never thought of doing a PhD again!

Depends on culture a lot, I think you just got unlucky. I hope you remember how you feel if you become a parent and be the parent you wish you had.

You can do a lot more social things which actually interesting people do when you are not overweight because of 1) being fit enough to do those things and 2) you will become more confident and people will become drawn to you instead of repulsed by you. Lift and all the rest will follow, this the the best medium-long term solution for you. But remember the journey is more important than the outcome.

Now, six years on, Catherine works part-time as a model, managing to keep her pay rate under the £17,335 limit which would require her to start repaying the loan. After 25 years the loan will be written off and Catherine reckons she will never earn enough to have to pay it back. How is it useful if you are earning less than £17,335 a year?

AFAIK fasting doesn't make you lose weight (its one of those things people have mixed opinions of), it just makes it easier to run a TDEE deficit. It's pretty easy to lose 70 lbs in 6 months, just did it myself.

There are a large range of shoes with discrete heels for vertically challenged men, I suggest you look these up.

You will learn a lot about socialising with different types of people at college if you are going. It's also a lot easier to get fitter than it is getting better at league - you just have to learn the rules of the game.

I find this extremely ironic that a sub-reddit made around improving men's self worth is telling this 18 year old that he needs to drop everything he is doing (and by extension his friends) if he wants to stop being boring and thus get the attention of women. Something that I has stuck with me is Jim Rohn's law of averages: “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” Living in your 20s are a very interesting period. Because everyone you know isn't now doing the exact s…
