He's only there for another two weeks, he'll be fine.

This is the correct answer in this situation. She's leaving your city soon anyway, just enjoy a good thing while you've got it.

A simple; "coola boola well take it handy with yourself missus! ;)" Do yourself a favor: run that line by some of your female friends and take a poll of their reactions. This is fucking awful.

If my dog looks at me the way you do right now, it mean he wants to be fed. So what do you want?" Wow that's bad.

What subreddits are you subscribed to? Surely you could find some ideas there?

Serious question, and this might not apply to you, but: do you think you might be depressed? Depression manifests itself in a lot of ways, and one of them is a lack of interest in things that once made you happy or held your interest.

I think OP was saying that some girls will say they have a boyfriend as a polite way to say "not interested", even though they don't actually have a boyfriend. They might say it out of habit, but then if you show a mature and confident reaction and they give it some more thought, they may end up dropping the charade later in the night. He wasn't saying that they later decide they want to cheat. That was my interpretation, anyway.

You've been dating this girl for three weeks and you're contemplating moving in with her? Did I read that right? That sounds like a terrible idea.

Practice regularly walking slower and/or talking slower. It really helps change your whole vibe.

Fair enough, my apologies for not checking before commenting, didn't mean to slight your video.

I admit I did not actually watch the video, I was reacting to the TL;DR.

Yeah...I know... I believe the person I was replying to was referring to the fact that you'd expect something titled "how to start a conversation" would give you some conversation starters.

Lol, my reaction as well. I can handle all the other stuff, it's what to say after "Hi" that I sometimes struggle with.

Wait, how does that not come off as condescending?

Some of his post is a little too much for my taste too, but you can still take the stuff that you think might fit your personality more and use it, ignore the rest for now. Baby steps. Some people who really have a knack for it can say stuff that reads cringey and it actually works for them, but not everyone has they skill. But surely you can incorporate some of what he's getting at, no?

So you'd expect your girl to drop an entire friend group because her ex FWB is in that friend group? That seems unrealistic.

I think you're thinking about it the wrong way. Many of these kind of posts are not about right or wrong per se, rather it's more of an optimal vs sub-optimal kind of thing. Meaning, you could make the mistakes OP listed above and you could still have an awesome date. But if your dates aren't going well, and you're struggling to figure out why, this kind of advice can be really helpful for improving. Hope that helps.

I've had sex with people just because I made eye contact and didn't even speak to them till after. TWICE. And no not paid for... once in a night club once at a pvt pool party Ok, I'll bite: how exactly did this go down?

Neither do I, but that's not the point. It's one of many many options.

Are you serious? Have you ever trained for a marathon? And for the job related ones, I'm not referring to just hoping you get a new job or get promoted, I'm referring to using your spare time to take classes or work on building a skill set that makes you more marketable to employers. Building those skills takes up time, but then actually finding and applying for new jobs can take a significant amount of time as well.

Getting a new better job, getting a promotion at your current job, accomplishing some milestone in a sport or other hobby, reading a certain number of books, running a marathon, getting in shape, eating healthier foods, etc etc

How does the advice change when the woman is with one or more other women (which they almost always are, unless it's a day time scenario)? I feel like approaching one woman and saying hi is exponentially easier than approaching a woman in a group and just saying hi.

Because sometimes the shit people post as "just say this" advice is completely unrealistic to say in an actual conversation for most people, and makes people who are already socially awkward just feel even more sure that there's no way they could succeed in picking up women if that's the kind of stuff that you have to say.

You can't be serious. So your proposed conversation would go like this: Guy: Wow, is this bus always this late? Girl: Yeeeeaaah. Guy: Last weekend i was at this concert and X happened. What's your favorite type of event? Wut

I love the way you set this up with multiple scenarios, that kind of format is always the most helpful for this kind of stuff.

I disagree with the black and white thinking that leads to the conclusion that humility is not a virtue. Obviously being humble and deferent all the time isn't smart, but humility is one of the many tools in your tool kit to improve yourself, become a better person, and make sure you're not a total douche to be around.

Just because greed and selfishness can be good, doesn't mean humility isn't.

Serious question, would you be ok with not going for a guys night out in Vegas if a girl you were seeing said it was unacceptable?

Watch out for value traps. And be prepared for the fact that a value stock that's out of favor can lose money for years before the market starts to come around on it. Make sure you're not taking on so much leverage that you can't stay solvent. I'm not sure how old you are, but if you're not old enough to remember a bear market, I'd be really careful.

but I am puzzled sometimes when guys ask what girls want only to reject the answer. I don't know what comments you're referring to specifically, so some may have just been dumb comments. But in the rest of cases, it may be less puzzling when you remember that humans in general are not very good at verbalizing (or even understanding) how they truly feel or what they truly want. So when a girl says, "women like it when you do X", but the guy you're responding to has seen countless women behave in …

You make great points, but your conclusion is only half true at best. Your divorce left deep scars, and I'm sorry for that.
