The problem the left has yet to realize: Oppressed vs Oppressor dynamics can easily be cosplayed and co-opted. Plenty of people fighting for the leftist cause are "poor" trust fund babies who get to fuck shit up, blame the world for everything, and escape from the consequences of their actions with mommy and daddy's money. They can afford to bypass the laws.

Yep. We need to go back to a liberal world, not a leftist world. The oppressor vs oppressed dynamic is unnecessarily divisive and hateful. Misandry comes with the territory.

That's why I don't get why the men here are so adamant about defending "leftism" which is also short hand for the far left. Let's just be real here. You cannot make a group of people who hates you that much support you. Maybe if leftism were so prone to misandry, it was never anything special at all. We can still support a better world and basic rights for everybody without "leftism".

Faced backlash in the past and still do yet t's still much better today than it was in the past. I'm chilling living a great life and there are much more gay accepting Republicans than I thought would ever exist. We're not nearly as much of a target as trans people and feminists. And most of the backlash we face is due to being associated with the rest of the LGBT who have made very bad moves for themselves.

Truth. Feminism is only truly popular among an elite class of women otherwise, it's usually associated with man hating losers which is actually an accurate description of them.

The backlash is not inevitable. Gay men at least are still in a much better place today than we were in the past. Feminists and trans people made massive mistakes which led to their backlash.

Oh, it will definitely make things better overall.

Truth is, there is are few "actions" that are worthwhile that might be considered real activism. Protests do nothing, just look at the Gaza protests. Yeah, they accomplished nothing. I'm not even saying this from the doomer perspective, I'm just saying certain actions are more worthwhile than others. Feminism is dying a rapid death. After Hillary's humiliating defeat, Amber Heard sending the movement back a millennia, Kamala losing to a senile Trump, and now the Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni will …

The progressive left is a vanity project for well off white women. Just look at the crowds who show to support certain progressive issues, it's female Klan rally. They don't NEED to do anything because their rights are actually never on the line and never will be. All they have to do is feed their own egos and that's a good enough job for them. Purity testing is just their means of boosting their egos.

The allegiance to the "progressive" label harms us more than it helps us. The progressive left is a very specific ideology that is inherently toxic towards men. That label does not have a monopoly on women's rights movements, men's rights, and LGBT rights. We need to stop giving it that power and we need to stop trying to change an ideology that simply will not change in our favor. The idea of progressivism is to support marginalized groups over the privileged which doesn't include heterosexuals…

I know this is deeply unpopular but I'm becoming a fan of telling straight men to join a church and find a woman there. Christianity is nothing but fairy tales, but those fairy tales were rooted in some sort of reality that represents what the the world should be. These new ideologies go against humanity in general. They have no roots in anything in real. A reasonable church grounds someone to a belief system that just works on some level for both men and women, feminism doesn't. I know everyone…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
