in fact, the persistence of egalitarianism far outweighed that of modern patriarchal societies by millions of years.

going back, humans were initially fairly egalitarian in hunter-gatherer societies. It wasn't until our adoption of argarian cultivation that these societies were killed off. That's just it- matriarchal societies did exist, and matrilineal societies did as well at a far higher rate. However, they were killed off by colonizers.

Aww, bless your heart. the existence of exceptional women doesn't invalidate the struggle for equal opportunities for all women. Researvhing your claims, the royal academy was indeed co-founded by a woman.. however, women faced significant discrimination within the institution for centuries. they were excluded from life drawing classes, denied full membership, and their work was often marginalized. I agree that Lady Butler's election as a full member in 1879 was a landmark achievement, but it do…

They were. men held most of the power in society, whereas women did not. this encompasses authority roles and human rights. Fate of reprimand? You know, such as being burnt at the stake for heresy or getting beaten and beheaded. Also, nuance, mate. the role of socialization in perpetuating gender inequality is not the same as saying women are mindless victims with no agency. It's ridiculous that you even insinuated that. you absolutely place the burden of dismantling an oppressive system solely …

Plus, in this supposedly oppressive system, women receive the terrible (in the feminist view) job of raising children this was the only thing they were told they were good for. Feminism decries the notion that women did not pose competency in any area not pertaining to child rearing. That's what was oppressive about it; a woman was seen as intellectually incapable of pursuing a concrete career in any regard. They were seen as lesser individuals, and life was bleak for them. Childbirth death rate…

Sir, I am not the one who lacks intellectual honesty in this conversation, with all due respect. Women didn't just randomly start rebelling 100 years sgo. There were plenty of movements throughout history, the Beguines, The Night Witches, the Aba Women's Revolt in Nigeria, The Green Belt Movement, The Gulabu Gang, the Trung Sisters' Rebellion in Vietnam, and countless suffragette movements across the globe. Feminism recognizes that women have been historically marginalized and oppressed by patri…

do you know anything of the suffragists? there were protests, even riots. they didn't ask, they demanded human rights because they were withheld for so long.

how do you keep yourself from ending it
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/24 10:58 PM

good, I prefer not to be thought about. as a lesbian I take it as a compliment that a sweaty neck beard isn't thinking about me because I find it really disgusting when anyone does it at all. hence my hyperbolic nature. also, that's not true bc women are forced into sex work all of the time, buddy
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/24 10:56 PM

obviously I was being hyperbolic bro, the fuck?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/24 10:53 PM

I just don't want to be objectified or sexualized at every turn. it's demoralizing and disgusting that condone this behavior and even encourage young men to engage in such degrading content. nobody thinks sexuality belongs to them. it's just nasty as fuck to know that women are treated like cattle in some instances.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
