This is how the internet will view any strong willed group for women. They don’t care whether we truly are “misandrists” they just don’t want us to exist. Sorry bitches.

The comment section just made me so damn angry r/memes is not fringe at all too it’s totally mainstream. It’s fucking pathetic that so many people are so upset about “the war on men”. And take this grainy ass post as proof

I’m glad that you are working towards recovering. Out of curiosity, what do you mean you have had 6 months to get over your attachment? How did you do it? I’m learning to detach as well. It’s a really crucial step I think. Thanks

Oh hey. I just made a post about this and Alan Robarge. Funny. Not really but you know. Yes. I do feel that way. But then when I have someone, I’m not even happy because I continually stress over how I might lose him or them and obsessively strategize in all the wrong ways. Feels like a hamster wheel. Slowly this sub has helped me to try something new. My point is finding people isn’t the cure to the loneliness. If you’re anxious in relationships, you’re still missing something, and it’ll still …

Thank you so so much for sharing your story. You are an incredibly caring and incredibly strong person for trying to help others learn the lessons they need to learn while living in this hell. I hope that you go to the hospital, and that you and your kids will be okay as soon as possible. I know your futures will be so much brighter without that psychopath. I am truly truly sorry and sad that this is happening to you. Still, I know that you have the strength to get through this. You have an army…

My rejection of femininity is less about the clothes I wear or makeup, girly things etc. I love all of those things, but despite that, I tend to want to compensate for my girlyness in the eyes of men, even though it’s not a bad thing. I guess what I really mean is the spirit of femininity. I think I am pretty aggressive/assertive around guys, I get competitive to try to dispel any bias that they might have that will lead them to think I am less capable. The flawed part of my thinking is that I a…

Thank you so much!! I still love makeup and dressing up, I always have. Yet I feel like I have to counter my girlyness and prove to guys, that despite that, I am also intelligent, cool, strong etc. To be clear, I know that’s not right and those aren’t my conscious thought processes. I guess the whole point is being yourself, like you said. Not for anyone else. Thank you!

Hello, thank you so much for sharing your experience and insight. I feel like I can completely understand everything you mentioned. I too thought that in order to separate myself from the women that were thought of as bodies to fuck and people to care for them in the eyes of men I had to prove myself worthy, intelligent, ambitious, like I could compete with them and have a seat at the table. I ended up seeing femininity as the problem, and wrongly thought that women who weren’t dominant and asse…

Do it for your future self. Imagine who she would be if you stay. Imagine who she could be if you leave. You got this.

Many people are cold and uncaring, unlike yourself. He, or many other men in your life, will never think of you the way you think about him. They won't analyze you, see through your expressions, they won't empathize with your past experiences because they just. don't. care. Sorry that was so cold. I'm going through a similar thing. But it's true. I think as women, we need to harden our caring exteriors for men when dating. Leave all of that love for yourself.

I have enough love in my heart to both care deeply about someone and walk away from them and never look back. That's for me, and for them. The hard truths are the best medicine. I'm intelligent, enough to the point where my own introspection can transform my life. I'm super goofy. It's fun to be me. Sometimes I just walk around my house, sing, dance, and laugh at myself. I'm not crazy I promise. I just enjoy my own company. I just do. I love myself. Screw it. Here's the thing about loving yourse…

Yes! We got this! I felt SO free when I realized that I only put my “good ex” on a pedestal because I thought that there were only a few that could really care about the well-being of women. If we establish friendship and respect with many others, we have a much bigger selection! Healing takes time. I’m sure we will both be happy and healthy when the next one comes around, and they will.

Thank you!!!! I will embrace the hurt. It seems like the more I cry, the less I care after. Funny! Leveling up during this time too. Gotta prepare for my future HVM.

Hi! Your dad’s words have stuck with me. I left, and I feel new and healthier! I will absolutely take your advice, and I’m so excited to have this time to focus on what I like to do. Thank you!

You’re so right. You know, I actually made him chicken soup that day too. Lol. Ashamed. Needless to say I dumped his ass. He won’t ever get better, and I wouldn’t want to be stuck quarantined with him anyway. Thank you!

Hi! Thank you for saying that. There is absolutely nothing to fear. I’m really looking forward to bettering myself, learning to cook, playing music etc. too. Just a sad to walk away from him, cuz I care about this LVM. Which is why I will have a MUCH better screening process next time. Lesson. Freaking. Learned. Thank you!

Thank you! No-contact it is.

Hey, thank you. I’m glad you were able to escape the relationships with a LVM too. It’s so easy to ignore red flags and accept shitty behavior, for some reason. Thank you!

Hey. Thank you so much. That’s a really interesting tactic. It would’ve been frustrating to date him in the future, and knowing that, I guess I don’t really know why I dated him in the first place. Super helpful. I hope we both find the HVM of our dreams eventually. Thank you. ❤️

Yeah. That’s such a good point. I was waaaaaay to nice and understanding of him. I even gave him a couple of excuses for him to use. All he did was disrespect me. I’m mad at myself. I will be more of a bitch about it next time.

Hi!!! Thank you so so much for the response—you are an angel. This is EXACTLY what I needed to hear. Regardless of whether I dump him tomorrow, I’m going to practice being assertive and setting my boundaries like a boss bxtch. Not for him, not to make him a better boyfriend or man, but for me. I think I will return to this comment for a while and find my strength. Maybe I’ll have a funny follow-up story for FDS soon. Thank you 💜

Anyway, thank you for the helpful comment. Sort of dissipated some of the lies I’ve been telling myself to keep him. I appreciate you!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/03/20 03:28 AM
5

That’s absolutely true. I can tell he senses it, and in the past he has self corrected, but recently he hasn’t. I guess my thinking what that if I told him then it would be setting a boundary, but maybe HVM don’t need to hear this? Ugh. So accustomed to men like this.

Sorry you’re going through that. Thanks for sharing. I’ve been there too. I don’t want to go there again.

Wow. Brilliant. I can’t argue with that.

Thank you for the kind comment. I know that if I let this slide it’ll leave me open to a cycle of allowing disrespect, and it’ll just get worse from here. He’s the best LVM I’ve had yet, lol. I’m sad but I should let it go.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/03/20 02:49 AM
8

Also—I know how sad I sound. Just being honest, I know I shouldn’t act on this mindset.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/03/20 02:46 AM
8

Lol. I like this. Honestly, I don’t want to leave him. I’m going to give you and FDS my thoughts that I know are conditioned and problematic: He does other HVM things and I want to give him a chance to do better I don’t want to be alone, especially now that things are looking a little dire I’m ashamed that I chose another LVM and another short relationship But if I don’t take your advice I’ll probably regret it. I’ll make an update post.

Yeah. You’re probably right. That sucks. I haven’t tried to stand up for myself yet, still reeling from Pickmeisha ways. Is it even worth trying?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/03/20 02:36 AM

Yeah. Well thank you for the advice. I’ll keep reading through the FDS guide for guidance

Hi, thanks for the great advice. I don't want to break up with him, and here's why (let me know what you think). After being single for a couple of years, dumping LVM ruthlessly and bossing up, I felt like I had lost my pickmeisha tendencies. Lo and behold, as soon as I get in a relationship, its back. I want to practice compartmentalizing my maybe programmed insecurities and mentalities, and fight my inner pickmeisha even though I'm in a relationship. I know if I break up with him I'll go back …
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/02/20 04:32 AM
2

Yeah... I think that was probably my mistake. I've always justified it through popular liberal feminist rationale but honestly, FDS is right, there is a lot of risk. Sometimes, though, I feel like it takes too long to find a HVM. A girls got needs!

I love this. Your comment has been in the back of my mind all day. I am the prize. Thank you. I feel my mindset shifting gradually :)
