The consequences can be severe for socially awkward and unskilled men. This is why I never tried to pick up strangers.

Which explains the "girls like jerks" phenomenon better than the convoluted alpha male BS people came up with.

> With autism it will always be faking. Not always. It may surprise you to learn that neurodivergent women exist. Some might even be neurodivergent in a way that's compatible with you. > You can't cure it and be normal. That's true, but you can mask long enough to survive the normal world for work and socializing purposes. You can get feedback to improve your social skills and get the the point where you are at least not actively creepy. As for the dating world, it's a matter of expanding your s…

Imagine trying to, say, go grocery shopping, and people are trying to pick you up every ten minutes. It gets annoying and distracting after a while.

They both have it hard. Men have to be nearly godlike to get the attention of women. Women are inundated with a thousand dudes trying to get their attention practically everywhere. Men risk their social standing and possibly risk their careers and jail time. Women risk their lives. And the modern world, for all its benefits, does a really shitty job of setting out a clear path that both "teams" can follow that will lead to a good, or at least acceptable, result. So we have a huge mess.

Hooking up is different from dating, though. And I definitely had to get to know people, and gauge their interest in me and vice versa, before I made a move. I also had to ask my friends to help me clean up some of my grosser/more offputting habits. For someone with undiagnosed ASD this meant a lot of work. And of course, not every woman I was interested in, was interested in me. It got easier over time.

> Friends: careful now, you don't wanna be "that guy" who poisons the well and confesses to a girl in the friend group. If she does not feel the same, you will be the creep that is if you don't get excluded from the group altogether. This is in fact how I met MOST of my girlfriends: through being friends first, or friends of friends.

Maybe they should ask themselves why they want virgin/inexperienced women and what they're really looking for. Most guys, deep down, want validation.

could it be that some men are concerned about the societal impact rather than 'angry' Speaking as a guy: I doubt this.

There's a lot of unwarranted assumptions here. I'll start with one: how many progressive women do you think actually engage in something as transactional as FDS?

Of the women you've dated, what percentage would you consider yourself close to, or on good terms with, once you stopped dating? Same question for women you've slept with.

Infidelity in men is associated with high shoulder to hip ratio, high testosterone levels, wide jaws, generally attractive traits. In women there's no such correlation, they mostly cheat with the same frequency. Do you have some citations for that? Preferably surveys of scientific literature?

How many women hold PhDs, do you think?

OK, my fault then. I read "I enjoyed my hoe phase" and thought that meant it was a thing of the past for you. Clearly I was wrong/English is hard.

I think the premises of your question are false. I think the nature of marriage will change as women increase earning power. Marriage will be less about financial stability and more about wanting to either provide a stable environment for raising children, or to provide each other emotional and social stability. That's been the trend so far and I don't see a fundamental reason why it should change. That said, there are some fundamental shifts in the political winds that are seeing most people's …

due to stoicism being a core tenant of masculinity Maybe according to certain alt-right philosophers, but an awful lot of masculinity seems to consist of losing your shit when people don't fall in line.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
