Get his morning clothes out for him and have them folded and ready for him in the morning. Have his coffee ready to go for him in the morning. Pack his lunches for him. Have dinner ready for him, or if he wont be home, have a plate ready for him to microwave. Your goal, IMO, shouldn't be to help 'him;' as much as it should be to support him and make his life easier. The small things that we all have to do as adults, take as many of those off of his plate as possible.
