Finally someone that actually read my post and understood it. Reading some of the comments by other users in this thread make me think that they only read the title.

How about bad facial structure?

In different places, different ethnicities would be considered attractive/unattractive. I'm not saying you can't improve your looks, but for many people, those simple things won't make you that much more attractive.

I will copy and paste this from the OP: I can guarantee that someone in the comment section will say that you can improve your looks by showering, getting a nice haircut and wearing nice clothes. Those things help, but they won't make you go from a 5 to a 10 (I admit though, there are some guys that looked unattractive due to bad hygiene).

This sounds good in theory, but for a lot of people, it won't make that much of a difference. I doubt someone with scars, short, bald, from an ethnicity that is considered unattractive would look attractive with those tips. That is just delusional.

How would one maximize Their appearance then?

I never did deny that their aren't attractive guys that don't have it way easier in dating. I said that even people that are not conventionally attractive still have a chance and it's not all over.

I explained this in my post already. You can improve your looks by working out and dieting right, getting a nice haircut, wearing nice clothes and having good hygiene. Doing these things will often help, but they won't make a big difference. natural defects often hold you back. I doubt that a guy that looked like Quasimodo hunchback could be attractive just by wearing nice clothes, getting a better haircut and showering. I've seen people IRL that are unattractive because they don't take care of …

The way that PUA's bring up the looks don't matter statement is what makes me believe what I wrote in OP. at the same time, I realize a lot of them say that just to trick people into signing up for their programs.

Here's a link to some research done on this subject by some universities (university of florida, university of virginia), and two different studies in the netherlands.

Here is a link to the article this one is based on. I put a link to the psychology today' article rather then the huffington post one because the psychology today's article gives more of an explanation for the issue.

I'm creating more awareness about the issue though, so people who aren't aware of it already are now.

Lots of people think that these "dress codes", only exist to humiliate and control women. While letting men wear whatever they want. In reality, its because its usually women who wear provocative and not men. I'm pretty sure if guys started coming to school in clothing that shows their butt-cheeks and stomachs, they would also get dress coded. I remember when I use to live in the middle east, they use to think ironically that these provocative clothing that women wear in the west is sexist. Beca…

No, in that section of the paragraph I was referring to mainstream advice, not TRP. Later in the article I referred to TRP advice

The emotional problems that are connected with having a crush is the issue. Liking someone itself is not a problem, its just when you take your liking for them to far it becomes a problem. The thing about getting a new crush is that at first it might be a good thing, you get over your emotional attachment to your old crush. But over time it will become a problem because you'll have the same type of clingy emotions you had for your old crush. It would be a continuing cycle of emotional stress, ra…

men are somehow shocked and offended that women prefer attractive men. Who is telling guys that appearances don't matter A lot of dating advice for men say that looks don't matter to women, its all about your personality, how you make her feel for example. If you want, just google: Do looks matter to women? (most sources will tell you no) also look at how many women in this video say look's don't matter to them (even though they probably do) there's also an extreme attitude that "looks are all t…

In my opinion it depends on the type of feminist, I personally divide feminists into three categories Egalitarian feminists: Feminists who believe in equal rights for both men and women Whiny feminists: Feminists who make a big issue out of everything Radical feminists: Feminists who take feminism to a all new level, i.e UofT protesters As a male who believes in equal rights for everyone, I only like the first type of feminists I don't feel like there is a major need currently for feminism in th…

Mra's and trps are very different from each other, trp is a sexual strategy while mra is a activist group for men's rights. The thing in common between the two is that TRP and MRA both do activist activities for men's rights. A major difference between the two though is that the red pill believes in traditional gender roles while MRA's are anti-traditional gender roles. /r/theredpill also seems very sexist against women while most MRA's I know are usually positive when it comes to their views of…
