There are grades before misogyny. Afghanistan is misogynistic. Compared to that, the West has been chauvinistic. Not sure that it has ever been as misogynistic as Afghanistan. What’s crazy is that modern Western feminists complain as if they were even more oppressed than Western women from 100 years ago, or almost as bad as Afghani women. And Western men get shit from Feminists as if they were misogynistic, while they might be chauvinists at best. That’s misandry.

This is an ageing, surface level, feminist talking point. In Finland, the highest educated women have the highest fertility rate. Israel has one of the highest percentage of highly educated women, they outnumber men in getting degrees, and yet they have the highest fertility rate of all industrialised countries. How does that square with the causation that you refer to? You also need to factor in the net positive or net negative contribution of children to a household. In primary or secondary se…

Several European countries require to carry an aid ID at all times. The USA and the UK don’t have that, so it adds to the motivations of people who want to clandestinely emigrate there and remain undocumented.

I’m not going to subject myself to watching that semblance of a debate another time, but on the top of my mind, there were mostly bad faith hyperbolic arguments on the woman’s side: Hypergamy is widely acknowledged as women’s main mating strategy. Men are not hypergamous based on socioeconomic status. They focuses on cues that they associate with higher fertility and child rearing. I am describing, not prescribing. Don’t shoot the messenger. Myron and this young woman are just crossing signals. …

She didn’t have a slip of the tongue. She doubled down by offering to ask any of the other women in the audience to speak up, and all of them would confirm having been SA’d. I don’t know when that video was shot, but Myron’s talking points have been around for a couple of years now, so if there’s a rebuttal, she’s at fault for not being prepared. It pains me to say this, because I honestly couldn’t care less about Myron, but between the two of them, she’s the one that makes the less sense.

Yes it’s amazing how we have a bias. I also thought “hey, she probably had a nervous breakdown or something”, which outlines that we don’t have the same standard for men and women. If it was the father, no one would wonder whether he was doing okay or not.

On a side note, a study by Evolutionary Psychological Science suggests that men see competition as a core component of structures. Women more often employ “levelling” as a competitive tactic, study finds The male respondents were seen as accepting a winners and losers system, while the female respondents would use strategies to level it and minimise the bragging and humiliation. “Men are so competitive. They must be insecure.” No. They just have a level of competitiveness that you are not used t…

Please note that I was not stating a personal opinion. I curious to examine the premise and its implications. If you are asking, my position is that men and women are equally valuable to society. So they should both be treated as such. And I definitely agree that if grunt force did give an advantage in economies involved with the extraction or transformation of resources, it no longer does when the economy shifts to services or information. The Information Revolution has probably been the most e…

That’s actually a very valid point, from a purely utilitarian perspective. And at the same time, that life giving ability of women is being minimised since the late 20th century. 21st century women are encouraged to prioritise their career, and delay (or even forego) having children. This might arguably level the playing field, but if 21st century career women no longer bring that value of birthing and rearing children, they become “as expendable” as men. And it raises ethical questions: does it…

I think equality of opportunity, at the academic level and the professional level is a great progress. Even from a purely capitalistic perspective, it means that corporations can hire the best candidate for the job. When you mention the composition of workplaces in the past, it brings to mind an observation by Camille Paglia that men and women used to live in separate worlds. Feminism managed to bring women in the men’s places. Mixed workplaces are a social experiment, and we are still figuring …

Some think that it might be an unaccomplished prom queen fantasy. These women were either popular as teens and want to re-live it, or weren’t and are looking to settle the score. They are also dealing with boys who are physically close to a fully grown man, but are easier to manipulate or to take advantage of.

Check my second link: it’s a design feature of Mother Nature that has its own benefits. As a man, I do shave my armpits about two times per year. The reason is that in Summer in particular my skin gets irritated with the friction of shirt sleeves in that area. So in my case, it’s not because of aesthetics or hygiene, but because of skin irritation.

US women control 85% of a household’s budget. They are more bombarded than men with consumeristic nonsense. The girl in the story is misguided in blaming a fictional “Patriarchy”, but she’s not wrong in refusing to give into Gillette’s consumeristic marketing. Predatory marketing is really to blame here. Natural hair isn’t poor health.

It’s actually not that much. Like 6% of cases of accusations were found to be false. The best way to deal with them is to collect evidence or witness testimonies before drawing conclusions. With today’s technology it isn’t hard to monitor where people have been or what they have done on their devices.

Whoops, my bad. I meant that only 15% are taller, not shorter than 6 feet.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/22 02:54 PM

Yes, the average height is 5’9 to 5’10, but the distribution still doesn’t leave a lot of men above 6’. I mentioned 15%, but even if it is 20%, that is still eliminating out 4 out of every 5 man. Making it five times harder to find a good man, besides the fact that the other women are also fighting for that top 20%. https://imgur.com/gallery/k3tG7Jn

According to statistics, less than 15% of men in the US are shorter taller than 6 feet. So when a woman gets picky based on height, she cannot ask “where are the good men” when she has already been ignoring seven out of eight of them.

It’s actually the opposite. Women tend to sell themselves short, while men are more likely to be delusional. Women are also more compliant and less confrontational. That industry is dominated by men from a specific demographic, so these women have to work 25% harder than they think a man does, because the ones in control won’t share just because it’s fair. They will share if it’s profitable.

It’s just a branding issue: being a stay-at-home parent is an executive manager job. There’s a lot of planning, supervision, execution and delegation involved. In fact, in case of divorce, the court assigns child support precisely to account for the value that this job adds.

It must have been a bit of “damn you if you do, damn you if you don’t”. It looked like there was a lot of back and forth between Depp’s side and Heard’s side during the preceding hearings, with testimonies slightly leaning in favour of Depp’s side. Somehow it felt that this testimony from the Dr. was quite authoritative. She was cross-examined by Heard’s side but was very efficient in dodging their attempts to question her impartiality or professionalism. They say that one person out of ten has some form of disorder. In the Us it could even be one out of five. Most of these are mild case and can easily go under the radar, and more serious cases are in the proportion of 1 per 20. If I think of my close circle, that almost seems like a realistic ratio: There’s one person in my parents’ generation who is a narcissistic. And then we have a few friends, one who is a bit of a control freak and one who tends to put his foot in his mouth. On one hand I t…

I bothered to link research in another comment, but basically, smiling is good for your health. Keeping a long face eventually takes a toll on it. If you’re hanging out in a neighbourhood where you need pepper spray, you’re probably hanging out in the wrong type of neighbourhood… At no point did it seem like the stream guy was in danger. The spray was excessive.
/r/PussyPassDenied17/02/22 02:47 PM

As a man, I feel that the pepper spray’s place is in a woman’s purse, not in a grown ass man’s back pocket. Personally I would be mindful of peoples’ privacy. I trained enough to be able to whip your average man’s butt, but I still prefer to de-escalate. You never know which kind of crazy you are talking to, or if they have a concealed weapon. You don’t want to be bringing a pepper spray to a gun fight… I guess it all begins with the dude wanting to video stream a street and not giving a flip.

I find it strange that the streamer conveniently had a pepper spray ready. Your can record people on the street, but you should leave out their face. The streamer is being a dick, not the woman, who he is intentionally provoking.
