You seem to be confused. Both options 3 and 4 make everyone do the same amount of work. Stochastic processes 101. In fact, the amount is lower in case 4. The sanitary argument, if applicable, is the only relevant here. Not much thinking is required to come to that conclusion (it should be obvious to a high-schooler within seconds), though, so no overthinking is taking place here.

To an actual one? That's tricky. 5yos usually haven't even had naive set theory. But in very simple terms, you could describe it as "texts with lots of ¬, ∧, ∨, ⊦, ⇒, ⇔, ∃, and ∀ in it". It's like with that judge and porn, you know it when you see it.

I think you could say that Gödel did "ruin" Russell's life (hyperbolically), that Russell had no reason to laugh at Frege (in the hypothetical scenario; he probably didn't IRL) due to making the same mistakes, and that Hilbert, with his program, as Russell's wingman would have indeed come to his defense, so the whole analogy seems rather clever.
