Reading is great, i think you'll find it more relaxing than watching TV. Music is another great thing, wether learning an instrument or going to shows big or small. I'm not into martial arts anymore but I agree with others here, that can be awesome. Good places to start for sure

From my perspective it sounds like you may have been trying too hard to be vague. I know I personally wouldn't answer a question about my job by saying I don't want to talk about it. You can be vague but give her some idea. Or use it as an opportunity to show off. As for ambition women naturally like ambitious men, there's nothing wrong with that. Hard to say specifically what went wrong without the context of conversation but there's my two cents.

Yea seriously you have to avoid going out with people like this. Had a friend for a short period when I was overseas who used to do this and not even have success himself at the end of the day. He did it in a very subtle way to where I almost couldn't put my finger on what exactly happened. Incredibly annoying
