| -2 | "My idea of Feminism is that men should do exactly as I want." - The GuardianPeople could say the same thing about the MRM. By creating the perception of a rivalry (whether intentionally or not), some people will view the MRM the same way that you view feminism. And that would suck. | /r/MensRights | 29/07/12 03:07 PM |
| -5 | "My idea of Feminism is that men should do exactly as I want." - The GuardianI'm talking at the very fundamental basics of the movements. Both of them want gender equality. All you need is collaboration. There are reasonable feminists in the world that will acknowledge the MRM and will listen to what you have to say. Any perceived rivalry is going to hinder any solution that both parties will support. With both movements having the same endgoal, it's really stupid that there's a rivalry. | /r/MensRights | 29/07/12 02:51 PM |
| -1 | "My idea of Feminism is that men should do exactly as I want." - The GuardianAtheism isn't inherently anti-religious, and I don't think the MRM needs to inherently be anti-feminist. I guess when I say this I'm more referring to peoples' views of the MRM. If people see it as an anti-feminist movement rather than a pro-men's rights movement, then people will dismiss it. To actually get something done in the United States, the public must view the MRM favorably so that politicians will actually maybe give a shit about it. | /r/MensRights | 29/07/12 02:46 PM |
| 1 | "My idea of Feminism is that men should do exactly as I want." - The Guardianwhy are you anti-feminist? (Honest curiosity) | /r/MensRights | 29/07/12 01:25 PM |
| -6 | "My idea of Feminism is that men should do exactly as I want." - The GuardianWell, if you're being anti-feminist in the context of being pro-men's rights (like in this subreddit), it will seem to outsiders that the MRM is anti-feminist, which I think would give bad impressions to others. Both movements have the same endgoal: gender equality. Why should there be a rivalry then? | /r/MensRights | 29/07/12 01:21 PM |
| -8 | "My idea of Feminism is that men should do exactly as I want." - The GuardianSee, saying anti-feminist things like that are only helping the MRM to be seen as anti-feminist. The way you view feminism is likely to be the same way people view the MRM if we aren't careful about it. | /r/MensRights | 29/07/12 01:16 PM |
| 5 | "My idea of Feminism is that men should do exactly as I want." - The GuardianThis makes it seem like there's some rivalry between the feminist movement and the men's rights movement. It'd be way regrettable for the MRM to be seen as an anti-feminist movement. | /r/MensRights | 29/07/12 04:03 AM |
