Their ideology tends to lean towards the notion that hating hate groups is not the same as what they perceive as hatred of ethnic, racial, or religious groups- and that tolerance of intolerance isn't exactly tolerance at all, but complicit behavior that allows the intolerant to thrive. So yes, protestors like this believe their actions are justified, whether or not they are. As do all forms of protestors, peaceful or otherwise.

Whether or not they can be realistically defined as terrorists is yet to be seen. They have to have clearly used tactics that are objectively terroristic and relatively easily defined as such. But there is no doubt that they are protestors.

In less biased words than you originally received, they're protestors. Most likely considering themselves 'members' of a political movement called "Antifa." They tend to protest public appearances by figures they believe are promoting hatred, and sometimes successfully prevent them from having a platform to do so.
