People like being angry and policing attraction. You see the same with age gaps, passport bros, people who don’t want to date unhealthy people, or have specific attractions. Usually the people complaining are washed in one way or another, so it could be anger that their potential pool is being limited. More than likely they simply think they’re “doing good” but in reality they’re just screeching into the void. Don’t give these people credit or mental bandwidth

Stoicism isn’t about suppressing emotion it’s about having a reasonable response to the world. Crying and needing to be coddled over a sedated bear is the opposite of reasonable. It’s not cute or useful, it’s annoying and childish. Acting that way is a pretty sure fire way to find yourself with an annoyed family and limited friends. You better be perfect otherwise, seems like this guy is, luckily for him.
