Sorry, I am parking it here because it feels like you are trying to push the conversation towards some gotchas (also following the earlier questions). Forgive me if I am misreading the intent but at this time it does not seem to be heading towards a mutually productive resolution. Thanks for engaging.

That's pretty much all men. The specific level of understanding depends proportionally on the amount and the depth of interactions with women. A guy that just wants to fuck will need to understand in depth what women want so that they are actually willing to have sex with him. And yeah that's what a lot of men break their heads on but that's not the only thing they want to know. A lot of men also want to understand the general experience of being a woman, irrespective of sex - what hardships the…

If anything, the fact that you're looking at male-centered media and asking whether the literal events accurately portray your life rather than asking what interior experience the narrative is communicating is kind of illustrating the disconnect I'm talking about. You completely misread what I said. I am precisely referring to internal experiences and saying the media does not faithfully portray a living man's experience. Hence, the whole argument has extremely shaky foundations that can be easi…

A lot of men don't, a lot of men do. Which ones are you asking about? Also how does it reduce the overall amount of general figuring out and thinking that men still do?

Thanks, I read it. And thanks for actually including data, that is interesting. I actually think some of the points you are making are quite valid, the problem is you twist it with preconceived notions and judgements that are not universal, there would be paragraphs to unpack it. But the biggest blind gap is you think that women understand men because they consume men-centered media. The idea in itself is already problematic and false in multiple aspects. The first one to point out would be that…

I mean sure but that would open another thread, and I assume you wanted to say something about women. The point that I am making is it goes both ways - it's not a gendered problem. Also understanding is still not a guarantee to anything.

In general women have no idea about men (because they don't need to) and it shows constantly, apart from what they like visually. Men break their heads how to figure out women all the time, including communities like this one.

And vice versa.

Guys acting super masculine always seem to be trying to impress other men more than women. Because it affects their social status. And high status men are attractive to women.

Conversely, is it such a big issue to pay for yourself?

At no point I said that it's not the case. I said that both are perfectly possible unlike suggested in the original comment.

Understood, I agree - it definitely matters if they seem to be only after sex or an actual connection. But it's a rather easy thing to spot or to test.

If a man values a woman for a long term relationship he isn’t pushing sex immediately because he understands that a relationship is more than sex and he believes she has more to offer. That is just a false premise, it's very possible to be interested in someone long term and want to have sex with them from the get go. These are not mutually exclusive. Now that shouldn't be under the form of pushing someone to do something, but that's another thing.

In that case yes it is clearly conditional, saying unconditional when you implicitly understand some conditions to it 1) makes it already conditional 2) different people will have different definitions and implicit understanding of unconditional, which means that different people will hold non-overlapping sets of conditions for unconditional. This one of those things where there's a 1000 aspects to it so we could be here all day. Absolutely agree, otherwise the conversation wouldn't be worth hav…

Nuance. That's exactly what I imply, saying "unconditional love" lacks any nuance, as unconditional is an extreme in itself.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 02:27 PM

Unconditional love is nice When you take both their literal extremes no shit it sounds like hell either way. So it's not nice, because it needs conditions in place.

There are men who matter, and men who don't. Black and white thinking - it's highly contextual and works more like a threshold and an exponential function over that, up until a certain point you are invisible or actively unwanted, over a certain threshold you become increasingly more relevant to some (and only some) women. But there are practically no men whose attention is universally and consistently valued.

And saying that it's just unrealistic is perfectly okay. But i think you're confusing a fantasy to an expectation. I do not think I am, I am not only saying that it's not very realistic, I am saying that it's an unhealthy yearn - characteristic to a child. And you cannot enter a deep healthy romantic relationship from the position of a child, because in principle real romantic relationships happen between adults (just for the sake of completeness yes I know teenagers exist, but here I am referri…

Enjoying anime has nothing to do with relationships, that's the difference. No one said it's bad, also no one said "but kids". What I said is that it's not a means to a mature adult relationship. Because if we operate on the spectrum of childish to adult they mark the opposite extremes on the axis.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/26 07:01 PM

That is indeed a child's mentality. Not a great material for a deep mature adult relationship.

I know some regular people, they are with other regular people. And your statement above sounds like a completely skewed reality.

Two wrongs don't make a right. I care about people, men, women, kids, poor, less poor, from this side of the world or that. How does it matter? Women are not a uniform group but men are not a uniform group too. I don't know a single rapist or an abuser, all men that I know and associate myself with are decent guys in normal relationships, all women I associate myself with are decent women. I don't find it hard to treat people with decency, despite the fact that they are members of a certain grou…

I mean some women (and by no means not only in niche spaces, popular social media is full of that) conveniently skip over this, and pretend that doesn't exist or is not hurtful, because well - rapes and patriarchy. And sure these are serious points, but what if they do not invalidate everything else?

None of this is needed for a happy relationship with a regular nice man.

Sorry indeed now I see it. I was misdirected by "your cautiousness isn't about us" being the first statement.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 05:33 PM

I can assure you that for a lot of guys the cautiousness is about you, and not making that specific woman feel bad or unsafe.

Not only it's a sausage fest but many of the guys there are not particularly fun to work with. In terms of money, it's a good choice but socially it's crap.

The Netflix allegory is just basic economics, the same mechanism works when grocery shopping or job searching. This however does not change the fact that people with options can become very picky even though they have many good choices already.

She will want your money, not you. Where's the gain? If you want to buy a girl just pay a prostitute, this can be fixed within 5 minutes instead of working your ass off for years.

Absolutely agree, without social skills and confidence, you won't be pulling girls, or even if they will quickly see right through you.

Maybe she's playing hard to get now, stupid I know but I leave it to your judgment. I second asking her out again, if she's not responsive move on.

So where exactly do you find them?
/r/seduction01/10/22 12:00 PM

I think the first rule is don't make it come as a total surprise. Many guys declare their feelings out of nowhere without giving any prior indication of interest. Like dude what were you expecting? Give her some subtle but clear signs and see where it takes you instead of going from zero to all in 3 seconds.

Happy for you man and good job on improving yourself!

I agree confidence is the key. But the example you give is not the best one, these guys have status, are well known and are in their 50s. You cannot compare a balding 20 yo guy to them, especially as younger women do prefer man with hair.

Norwood 4 is pretty late for all these things, most probably the change won't be satisfactory.

In what way is it a response to what I have said? Some men want women that do not hook up and some men do not care. There is ultimately nothing wrong with both as long as everyone is transparent.
/r/seduction29/07/22 08:55 PM
11

The idea that this leads to having only two choices is a huge stretch. There are lots of women that fall in neither of these categories. They won't sleep with you straightaway but are not expecting you to buy them at all. They just need some time to find out you are the right person.
/r/seduction29/07/22 07:16 PM
2

You are calling him out on hooking up just as the girls but he is precisely saying he does not want to do this and finds this empty. Thus, the logic in your argument makes no sense. Also there is nothing wrong with wanting to find someone that values intimacy more and does not sleep with any random person.

Tell it to the guys losing hair in their early 20s or those that just have a face like a potato. Some things are within your control but it's not always that easy.
/r/seduction16/07/22 12:06 PM

Yeah and this comment section is about letting her go because she just wants a new toy and the guy was previously emotionally invested. Btw no one's advocating for liking shit personality, where did this even come from lol.
/r/seduction09/07/22 12:21 AM

Yes exactly, they absolutely do not value women for their personality but only for their looks, which is a direct implication that valuing someone for their personality is contradictory to the incels' logic. At no point I indicated there should be a double standard for men or women. In my view, it is equally shallow for both parties to prioritize other factors more than personality. And while it's understandable that other things are also at play because humans are complex, it's first and foremo…

I see absolutely no indication of incel logic in valuing people predominantly for their personality, actually quite the opposite. Money, looks, and status come and go and this is applicable to both men and women. And I am not saying that one should accept a partner that does not put any effort into making themselves better. But life is ups and downs. Sometimes you're not at your best but that does not mean you're someone else in principle. If someone wants to be with you only when things are gre…

Just approach him and say "Hey, nice pecs bro!", that's what gym bros say to each other. You will see the conversation will unfold naturally from that point.

In what way, by cell division?
/r/seduction16/06/22 09:43 PM

How does it become more equal when they can get regular hookups or some kind of intimacy just by existing while many men cannot get any of it even when trying? And the equilibrium point is basically like saying that maybe the housing market is shit and you have to compromise on eating to rent a place, but hey you can always become homeless if you don't like it. That's not really an ideal choice.

Also when a situation becomes bizarre like this think of a joke that could turn it from something awkward into something funny. This way you already score some points and make both of you feel more at ease.

That's my biggest regret, not engaging in any society club at uni. But frankly speaking, the studies were hard enough to keep me busy all the time.

The question is if those hoes are unhappy with themselves? Because many socially akward people often are.
/r/seduction18/05/22 02:22 PM

I agree that first you have to be happy with yourself, but I wouldn't say step over unhappy people. If you're fine, be the Chad, and lend a hand to someone in need. Sure, don't let them pull you into misery but at least show them the bright side.
