0	Wondering your opinions on this. Parents divorce. The way I see it, marriage is a month to month contract. Every month that she cooks, cleans, provides sex and companionship, he goes to work and provides her money to live comfortably. The only instance of a non-modifiable alimony being modified after the fact was when one of the parties committed fraud. -1	Is marriage slavery? You can work toward fixing something while also admitting that it's current status favors one party over another. Right now there's a $2000 tax credit for spawning children. I disagree with it on every level, there's no good reason to reward people for spawning kids they can't afford. But I still claim it every year. This is no different. 1	Is marriage slavery? I don't know if slavery is the right term, but marriage currently is an institution that serves only to benefit women. I have a son and daughter, and I've told my son if he ever gets married he's on his own, because that is the dumbest thing a male can ever do.
