Yeah, I noped out at the thumbnail, just looking at it made me contemplate the circumstances under which I'd engage in jury nullification.

"and haven't caused any women to rethink their sexuality" Yeah, I'm pretty sure sexuality doesn't work that way. Were it as simple as choosing to be sexually attracted to the same sex I'm pretty sure that every man on the planet would be gay: a partner who shares my sex drive, isn't driven insane by hormones for 3 or 4 days a month, can be ready to go out in less than an hour, and doesn't consider arriving 30 minutes late "early"? Sign me up.

I'd agree that the human mind, especially personality, is obscure, imprecise, and difficult to make definitive statements about. We barely understand anything about it. But psychology is an attempt to systematize our knowledge about the mind, to explain our findings, to document our methods of teasing out what we can measure. Astrology is nothing like that, astrology put labels on people based on their birth date. I guess you could call that an attempt to systematize our knowledge, but it does i…

I'm sure that Fuhrman and other scumbag cops would have framed him, but he was guilty so they didn't have to. OJ was acquitted entirely because they had Fuhrman on tape saying the no-no word.

It's a standard in many places, and teachers are well aware that it is a best practice even when it is not explicit policy. I am not sure that it has been effectively communicated to students and parents. Students *will* seek to go around the policy. I think that making it clear to students that teachers aren't being arbitrary or mean by not engaging with them on personal social media. Also making sure that parents know and understand the policy could help them spot problems earlier.

A clear social media policy that is clearly presented to teachers, parents and students would help. Allow NO social media contact, texting, email, or voice messaging between school staff and students outside of school administered applications. That would keep the boundaries crystal clear. And would keep standards of professional conduct crystal clear.

The only thing I can find for certain is that the judge's son works for the parent company of The Sun. That put a stink on the judgement in my opinion, but I don't know enough about the law to know if that would require the judge to recuse himself.

I seem to recall there being some fuckery around a conflict of interest on the part of the judge who made that ruling. I'll have to see if I can dig that out of my archives.

Many of us have to take yearly trainings on how to not sexually harass, do we need to add yearly trainings on how to not abuse positions of professional trust?

If his "trial" was solely carried out by university administrative proceeding then there was no way he was going to have a fair trial, those are infamous for a reason. There is no right to face your accuser, rules of evidence, presumption of innocence, or any other of the basic requirements to have a fair trial. University admins shouldn't be dealing with rape accusations, that should solely be the domain of criminal courts.

I don't blame her for divorcing someone convicted of horrible crimes. But she didn't believe in him, abandoned him at his lowest point, and then *sued* him for the recompense he got from the state for destroying his life. That makes her a bad person.

You may have been thinking of concurrent sentencing, in which someone serving 3 years for violation A and 2 years for violation B will serve them both at the same time, resulting in an effective sentence of 3 years. It's always struck me as silly, but it does happen.

Because I dont see many rich people paying $6-7k for dinner. Rich people like to save money not light it on fire. I'm sure that trusties and people who grow up rich do this sort of shit. Small business owner millionaires not so much, because they actually earned their money.

She started grooming the kid when he was 13. It probably wasn't violent rape, but there is no way that he could consent. Also, there is no way for a non-coercive sexual relationship to exist between a child and an adult authority figure. So she groomed a child for months and coerced him into sexual contact. That should send her to jail for a decade and ensure that she is never allowed to work with young people again.

Chinese Americans suffered every bit as much. A strong belief in family allowed them to succeed and thrive once they were allowed to. But the black family has been largely destroyed. At this point, the welfare state has more to do with generational black poverty than slavery does.

Walker has four previous convictions for four dissimilar offences, including drink-driving, threatening and abusive behaviour and battery. She has also been cautioned for battery. Seems like maybe she could do with a little gossip and ostracization, based on her past behavior she appears to have been a vile person for years.

I see your point and agree that his statement is not necessarily any more believable than hers given the available information. My point is that his version of events didn't set off my BS alarm. My guess, based on the fact that she retracted her statement, is that the phone record supported his claims more than hers. But you're right, "never believe women" is just as bad as "believe all women".

This is why HR puts "other duties as assigned" on every single job description. (So make sure to document who is assigned the task each time. It might actually make that payday larger if you can prove a pattern of behavior over years based on gender.)

It should be longer, regardless of the gender of the victim and perp. It's attempted murder, plus the health problems caused by 3rd-degree burns will likely be permanent and maybe even debilitating.
/r/PussyPassDenied03/02/21 09:40 AM
27

The only reason that I don't think she'll got off with a "driven to it by abuse defense" is her own video. There is no way they will let that go in front of a jury, because a jury might actually throw the book at her, so her lawyers will plead her down to the most single serious charge and a 10 year sentence, but like I said she will probably only serve 3 and get out without onerous conditions.

Wake me when she is found guilty and sentenced. A man would be sentenced longer, stay in longer, and probably be forbidden to use the internet or social media as a condition of release. My bet is she is sentenced to 10 and does 3.

I wouldn't be shocked if there were con-man gangs running these scams 24/7. Seriously, why wouldn't organized criminal gangs be in this business? Have a few laptops and VPN accounts. Hire a few exotic dancers or prostitutes to provide account photos and photos to share. Spam the hell out of dating apps. When you get a sucker who looks like he might worth a few thousand, then hook him up with one of the girls via video and voice calls as needed to get the loot.

Earlier this month there was a very public meltdown by a Wizards of the Coast employee for this very reason. He was a diversity hire, knew he was a diversity hire, his co-workers and bosses treated him like he a diversity hire, so he complained about not being "respected". I'd imagine that this is probably happening anywhere that has a Diversity Equity and Inclusion director and we will start to see the fallout in the next few years.

Constantly putting down your kid and berating him is abuse. The dad in the video is taking extreme measures to try and stop his daughter being an obnoxious waste of skin, so long as it's not his usual parenting style then it's forgivable.

What she should be charged with is: assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment and kidnapping. The fact that she used the police to carry out those crimes is beside the point. And then he should be able to sue her for damage to reputation in civil court.

It's an age old tradition in the badthink subs to share the best/dumbest reports from the offend-o-trons. It's an interesting read and I'm glad that some women see how absurd the pandering of commodity feminism really is. One year is a pussy pass for sure. What bugs me more is this horseshit from the DA: It was not an easy charging decision. The thing that is supposed to be described by the word "mansplaining" is real. But at least 80% of the time it's a woman who insists on explaining something that I already understand, and then insists on continuing to explain it while I wish in vain for the ability to make heads explode using the power of my mind.

That's been my argument since the very first time I heard of the "wage gap". If a corporation could spend less on labor for the same result they would never hire a man again. I've never heard anything approaching a coherent response.

I don't know about that. Elder care and nursing requires some pretty filthy working conditions and women seem to tolerate that. I'd say it is simply the case that women lack the strength to do construction. Of course if you are talking about the average feminist there isn't a chance you could get her to do anything "yucky" or hard, regardless of if she is physically capable of it.

Being maladjusted and socially awkward has no gender preference. I agree with your sentiment, but disagree with this specific point. Proper social adjustment is largely defined by women, and norms around dating almost exclusively reflect the preferences of women. That pretty much guarantees that men's behavior will be considered maladjusted and awkward more often.
