You can tell from the angle of the weapon that the females kept trying to get back up. If you were being attacked by two people who kept trying to get up, you might be right to think they wanted to carry on the fight. He had a right to beat them down until they could not get up again in self defence. The fact one sustained a fractured skull...that's the risk you take when you attack someone.

Detractors completely miss the point about the disparity in rights versus responsibilities before birth and as usual conflate the issue with the rights of the child after birth. The rights of the child do not impinge on the mother before viability so why should they impinge on the father?
