Let's use the same math for a dude who is 200 pounds and needs to lose about 20 pounds. He would exercise hard, be active, and eat around 2,400 kcal to slowly lose fat. Are you honestly saying that's not a reasonable starting place? Thus why I wrote that's its highly dependent on a persons body. It doesn't take a ton of time (90 minutes of gym time/week + maybe 1-2 hours prepping meals, if that's your thing). It doesn't take a ton of money (a gym membership can cost as list as $20/month + basic groceries). It doesn't take a ton of self experimentation (just follow the simple rules set out here and adjust to what feels right for your body, then you're good to go).
