I had no idea about the stats when I wrote the post. If you compare probabilities, then HIV transmission does seem extremely unlikely. But then again, the media has spent the last 20 years scaring people about STDs so it's just more prominent. Thank you for the info!

I'm very grateful for the detailed response. After doing a bit of reading, I know I overreacted by a great deal. I did want to start a discussion on whether TRP should continue advocating as much sex as possible for every person. Most of the replies here, except yours, can't accept changing or altering that core TRP concept. But your advice about monogamous relationships makes sense. I appreciate the fact that I might be getting too anxious but you can't conflate the risk levels of two completely unrelated events. STD risk is many orders larger than your example of a practically zero-probability event(lightning). All I wanted was to start a discussion on whether we shouldn't blindly push the TRP mantra of 'fucking as much as possible". Staying healthy, after all, is also part of being a red-pilled man.

I know most guys here are young, and youth and caution never really go together. But I do want to live a fulfilling life to my 70s or 80s. HIV takes 15-20 years to kill you so I have a feeling most guys here haven't really given it the thought that it deserves.
