Fair enough, but in this dude's situation, throwing everything on the table for all to see will never work. There has to be implicit attraction between the parties and oftentimes it is best when this attraction is not explained explicitly.

I've had decent success of just dancing by yourself or with a friend, have fun and people will naturally want to join in. I've had success with telling them my name, they'll usually tell you theirs and you can go from there. You broke the barrier of random guy to guy with name.
