shakes your hand Respect my friend. You stayed true to your principles of honor and integrity, and avoided her trap in the process. Well done.

I'm the same way man. If you can make enough to be content and happy with your life, you're rich. Fuck anyone who says otherwise.

Solid observations. Gynocentricism socializes narcissism in women. It rewards their beauty by default. It's no wonder plastic surgery is a multi-billion dollar industry. They have every incentive to invest in their looks because it is the source of their power. And as you've noted, blue pill men perpetuate this system by granting them that power, and with blind enthusiasm collude with women to stringently enforce it, whether through societal norms or governmental force. All stemming from the maj…

Read this article before. Its points about the relation between lifestyle choices, risk management, and marital outcomes are powerful and valid. For the sake of intellectual honesty and integrity, the actual risk for divorce for each individual man depends on that man; it's not a blanket 50% risk. If you are college educated, your partner is college educated, had few to no previous sexual partners (especially the woman), are of strong religious faith, and are on the same page in terms of childre…

Whoa really? If true, they wouldn't be the first content creators to publicly drop out of the movement. Ideas off the top of my head that come to mind: 1) They felt MGTOW wasn't going anywhere and decided to jump ship 2) They experienced some kind of life-changing event that caused them to shift their focus on their private lives 3) Trolls flagged their channels and Youtube deleted their accounts Didn't care much for Niko myself. CS seemed to be more of the intellectual type though and I respect…

I like what Turd Flinging Monkey once said and I think this applies to your question perfectly: If you are making enough money to comfortably do what you want, you are rich. Consider the men working 60 hour weeks paying for million dollar mortgages to subsidize the spending and status-seeking habits of their wives. This is obviously a scenario you have averted thanks to the MGTOW lifestyle. A career, however, can lead to a higher earning potential and a much earlier retirement. You can save a sh…

Ask yourself and be honest about whether the predominant force binding your relations with them is sexual tension. If not, then there must be shared and mutual interests substantive enough for a legitimate friendship, and that certainly is consistent with the MGTOW view of self-determination.

Emotional tampon - pretty much. And frankly I am already noticing the fact that the relationship is very unilateral. Whether she intends it to be or not, I find that she in this regard is no different than other female friends I've had in the past; very rarely do they take the initiative and reciprocate. They might listen if you bring it up, but they never ask for updates about you of their own accord. Or if they do, it rarely mirrors the efforts given to them -- And I KNOW THIS, and knew this t…

Your assessment definitely rings true. Every female friend I had was just that, a leech. And these would be cases where I seriously had no romantic intentions. It was basically a unilateral trade agreement; namely, playing emotional tampon. They would never make the effort to reciprocate being there for me besides just empty lip service. The only people to go out of their way for me were former male friends. Thanks for the sound advice.

My advice to you is that there is no way to know whether there is paradise after we die. We might as well make our stay here as enjoyable as possible on our own terms. As a MGTOW, you have the greatest opportunity to create the life that you want without the burdens or female-imposed constraints - especially when it comes to your personal decisions. Live content in a minimalist lifestyle and develop some productive habits. Mine is reading - gain knowledge, ideas are empowering. Read various phil…

I am happy and honored that my post inspired you to share your struggles! This girl was incredibly manipulative and fucked with your head, my mouth was agape at the level of psychological warfare at play. It's amazing how even the most hard-blooded MGTOW can fall victim to the spell of feminine wiles and submit ourselves to all kinds of bullshit against our better judgement. Fortunately things haven't gotten anywhere as close where I am at. My best wishes man.

I've definitely seriously considered this possibility. She really does seem honest and genuine. There are good signs that point to her potential, such as a good relationship with her father.

That's a keen observation. I do not, in fact, have many male friends, and do get lonely from time to time. Maybe I should work on developing my social circle?

Definitely, there is no comparison for the level of camaraderie in male friendships.

Funny how us guys, no matter where we begin or start when our relations form with females, we end up at the same destination: emotional tampon.

I've definitely considered this possibility. Like I said in the OP she does have good family values. She demonstrated her loyalty to me in a self-regulatory way. An example was that she shared one of the emails I sent her with her friend, felt guilty about it, and then told me and apologized. I would have never known if she never told me, but she couldn't bear lying to me (allegedly). There are many other instances like this and part of why I let my defenses down. In theory, this may have the ma…

Glad to see I'm not alone on this. It's no wonder that blue pill men don't stand a fucking chance, the poor fuckers.
/r/MGTOW08/11/16 03:09 AM
2

Damn. This resonated with me. It's as if overtime she analyzed what I enjoyed and appealed to me from those angles. What's frightening is that she made it seem so natural rather than calculated. When a woman is beautiful (and she is very beautiful) and starts appealing to your character in ways that tug on your sentimentality it's a deadly combination.
/r/MGTOW08/11/16 03:08 AM

Thanks for the encouragement. And holy shit man. Good job recognizing her true nature and snapping out of it. She hasn't revealed hers yet. Funny enough, she tells me that around me she's on her "best behavior." Apparently my opinion of her matters for the moment. But that should have been a red flag - what is she hiding? Clearly aspects of her nature that she believes I would not find appealing -_-

Yep. Part of why I hate myself. What you've stated are common sense best practices, and yet I became too enticed I ignored my better judgement :(

Will do. That's a good point, I have to be very tactical about how I'm going to cancel this. I think I'll make believable excuse that something came up. And then over time sort of phase out interactions, except for the kind that cannot be helped in terms of work related objectives.
/r/MGTOW08/11/16 03:02 AM

Totally! Common sense and logical. Part of why I am so frustrated and disappointed in myself. These are dangerous waters I am treading and frankly if things do go south I deserve it. I had ample time to prevent it from getting this far.

When they say love is a battlefield, it's the fucking truth. The distribution of power in a relationship has everything to do with the outcomes for the people involved. If you have low self-esteem you are coming from a place of weakness from a negotiator's standpoint. We are all entrepreneurs of our own lives, sole-proprietorships, and every kind of relationship, whether it be friendship or romantic, is a form of a trade alliance. Setting aside the difficulty that if you can't love yourself you …

I'm smiling so hard reading this. How inspiring and empowering man. I haven't found a direction in my life yet but I'm currently content. The most important thing you've touched on is the fact that I have my freedom with endless possibilities with all the raw ingredients for a fruitful existence at my disposal. My best wishes on your success!

My sincerest condolences for your familial dysfunction. My relationship with my mother and sister is actually very good! My mother watches anime with me and my sis and I grew up playing videogames together. I think genetic relation and kinship are potential offsetting factors, depending on the character of the women in your family as people of course. Just thought I'd share my personal experience.

Of course! And there's nothing wrong with it. And don't fight it either. Just continue what you've been doing: having an open mind and learn more about the true nature of the world. Your emotions will sort themselves out once you get over the aftermath of these revelations you've been having. I've been MGTOW for 3 years and I can tell you eventually you do feel content, just a tranquil calm derived from accepting that it's just how things are, and knowing this, you have the greatest chance to ac…

No, I'm the same. I don't need much out of life. Just being content. I'm totally fine with video games, anime, and working out as my core routine in addition to several other hobbies. I was thinking of looking into narration. Narration actually makes up 80% of voiceover jobs :) so audiobooks and documentaries and stuff. Although english dubbing for anime would be a dream if I had the talent for that.

What you've pointed out is the pitfall of thinking that entraps most people; namely, the naturalistic fallacy. It basically means if it's natural, it must be good. Well, it is in the nature of many animals to commit infanticide and rape, does that make it good? Similarly, if it is within women's nature to treat men as trad-able ATM machines and disregard his personhood, is that good? You can argue that it is natural and has been necessary for the survival of the human species. Doesn't mean it st…

I'm totally with you, that's exactly what I want. I dream of doing voiceovers someday. Contract/project is a path worth considering for MGTOW if it leads to viable options we can live off of. Let's hope for both our sakes things go accordingly to plan.

No. Most men act this way because they are slaves to their instincts. It's important to recognize the differences between men and women, and the greater bargaining power women have over us at the instinctual level - all the more reason to walk away.

I think it's possible that men place more value on sex than women, but still opt out. It's simply that men value other things besides sex, such as their autonomy and freedom - a risk assessment when deciding between comparative goods.

Actually it's been well documented that men do have a higher libido "Across many different studies and measures, men have been shown to have more frequent and more intense sexual desires than women, as reflected in spontaneous thoughts about sex, frequency and variety of sexual fantasies, desired frequency of intercourse, desired number of partners, masturbation, liking for various sexual practices, willingness to forego sex, initiating versus refusing sex, making sacrifices for sex, and other m…

Most excellent. It is arguably not only the logic behind it that made you realize that dating isn't worth it, but also the fact that you have the self-respect and dignity to prioritize your own goals rather than taking any departures from them.

A very great description of what progress really looks like when it's materialized from the abstract. Preceding a revolution in action, there has to be a revolution in ideas, as it is ideas and an adherence to those ideas that are the first domino. Owing to your intellectual foundation, rigorous study, and introspective inquiries, you noticed details about male-female interaction you otherwise wouldn't had you remained asleep. Exactly. I have profound respect and admiration for a select few friends who happen to be women, as well as my mother and sister, for certain virtues and ambitions they happen to reflect. Too often, MGTOW is disregarded in a knee-jerk fashion and its adherents preemptively labelled as misogynists. In doing so, they conflate abstinence with hatred. Abstaining from dating you is not the same as hating you. You are not entitled to my earnings and virtue anymore than I am to your companionship and b…

I see, a good analysis and much appreciated. This was, after all, my first attempt at making a unifying definition and it certainly needs refinement and tweaks. I'll digest your suggestions and go from there.

I think you've accurately described a litmus test to determining who is a true MGTOW. Swallowing the red pill is just the first step. After digestion, blue pill programming must be purged and red pill programming must be integrated. Overriding blue pill programming requires a rational constructionist approach to building a new moral value edifice, cemented on a foundation of empirical observation and abstract philosophical inquiry.

Well said. It's clear that excessive wealth carries it's own respective challenges that offset the diminishing returns of marginal wealth. Knowledge of this should be one ingredient of many in our strategy and plan for our MGTOW lifestyles.

Seems to be well in line with leftist thinking. Disregard nature, attribute all behavior to nurture and external environmental factors. A great way to say that men are the ones to be held accountable for how well women behave and women hold no personal responsibility for how to conduct themselves. Gynocentric infantilization of women 101.

Great analysis. Divorce is a great example. Wherever there is female economic empowerment, relative safety and infrastructure, government transfer programs to substitute for the husband, and breakthrough legislation to expedite the process, the majority of divorces are initiated by women, hovering around the 70% mark in America, Canada, the UK, and richer parts of China. If women are reacting the same way to similar variables cross-culturally it points to something deeper and biological. This is…

The more control your rational mind has over your decisions, the less society can manipulate you. Men enslaved by their sexual instincts are merely dogs obeying commands: fetch that girl, fetch that soul-crushing job, fetch that debt-financed mortgage and white picket fence. If they can't place you under a leash, it bothers people at a subconscious level. It must be triggering their social instincts, alerting them to shame the nonconformist back to the plantation. After all, decrying you as a vi…

Hm I did not think of drug usage that way. If strategic drug use is a means of gaining internal spiritual satisfaction then that totally makes sense. As you've indicated, my comparisons between drug use and degenerate hedonism are better illustrated by drug abuse, a particular type of drug use rather than drug use overall. Thank you for the correction.

Yeah, I would just take the article with a grain of salt, especially about their group A and group B. The reason why you cannot figure out which group you actually belong to is that those are the arbitrary distinctions the author has made and is attempting to impose on the whole movement. It's an oversimplification and over-aggregation that he made for the sake of argument, and thus those are distinctions and labels that - through further scrutiny - are not labels to apply to ourselves concretel…

Exactly! We have to somehow individually construct our own milestones rather than adopt the ones that are handed to us, which is itself a difficult task - a task that requires effort, self-knowledge, and imagination. And as you pointed out, there is some happiness to be found in achieving the traditional milestones. You and I both do not deny this but from a risk assessment standpoint we have opted a different route.

I think you nailed it. PUA seems to promote an external, shallow, materialistic, hedonist approach to validation. It's no wonder - they have to profit off male insecurity. MGTOW goes much deeper. Many of those subscribed to it like myself are really dedicated to inquiry about the root bio-evolutionary causes of these dysfunctional gender relations. We continue to participate in forums, have discussions, and make videos, in part because of this need for inquiry and also because it helps reinforce…

Honestly, I have been MGTOW-monk for about 3 years and I can see where the author is coming from, for the sake of intellectual honesty his points and descriptions of Group B are persuasive. For about 6 months I WAS in group B. Not the whole being a virgin loser as I never had problems getting girls back when I did date, but rather completely losing meaning for existence and withdrawing myself altogether. I was in the midst of a period of unemployment which triggered an existential crisis. Fortun…

A great distinction. The suppression of instincts does not eliminate the instincts themselves. That is why AWALT is a thing. It is the is/ought dichotomy. As an act of BEING a woman she is hypergamous, since she is a female with female nature with female instincts. Similarly, we ARE men with male nature and as such we will always harbor male mother need, but we OUGHT to override that instinct via rationally derived self-validation to offset the internal and external manipulations.
/r/MGTOW06/06/16 07:01 PM

Great analysis. Indeed, it appears that the philosophical framework we have imposed on ourselves internally is so strong that it is nearly impossible for outside forces that logically contradict these principles to manipulate us. It's clear that by evaluating all decisions through tradeoffs, opportunity costs, and on the basis of our personal values and objectives it limits the options manipulators have. Attempts to infiltrate our minds are essentially futile. We know the game and the arguments …

To expand on your points, it appears that the guiding principle to overcoming the challenge you mentioned is our rationality, and a cost/benefit risk assessment of each decision you make on the basis of your personal values and objectives. It's possible that people like us are able to be committed to MGTOW because we are better at viewing the world through a framework of rational economic thinking.

Hmm this is interesting because I, too, enjoy learning and thus proactively engage in inquiry on a daily basis. For me, it is politics, philosophy, and economics. It is worth mentioning that what is unique about a marriage contract apart from other contracts is that the terms and conditions can be altered by third parties, such as politicians, depending on how they decide the laws governing marriage change. Imagine consenting to a contract that remained alive and changed in unpredictable ways to the external arbitration of those who have nothing to do with the relationship? Horrible, horrible idea.
