In my experience, guys do not like needy women because it becomes a burden to continuously manage someone else's emotional state. The things that you would normally want to do like giving hugs or saying I love you, become an obligation in order to soothe her feelings and give her reassurance. You have to kiss her because if you don't she'll get upset and think you don't love her anymore. You have to hang out with her on Friday nights because if you don't, she will assume this means that you no l…

I am a needy woman, and trust me, men do not find it attractive. I found a guy that I thought was equally needy, but even he got tired of me after a couple of months. No one wants to be that responsible for another person's happiness.

Yes you are generally correct, and this is because women come with the value of their beauty and access to their womb. Men come with no value. So women by default have power men do not have. It don't think this matters much, assuming both men and women want to form relationships equally. If we give all women a plus 1 or even a plus 100 to their default value, nothing will change because they compete with other women and not with other men. For instance, say we have two women with values 5 and 6,…

This makes me sad. I hope things get better for you. At least it seems that things can't get much worse.

Men and women are biologically different, therefore their natures will be different. This is true, but you will probably agree that it is more accurate to say that men and women are in some ways the same and in some ways different. So it remains to be seen which behaviors fall into the 'same' category and which fall into the 'different' category. The behaviors I described above are put into the 'different' category by TRP, but I believe they belong in the 'same' category. This goes deep into met…

It's a difficult problem, perhaps unsolvable. I would do whatever it takes to protect yourself. Put up emotional barriers, stop investing emotionally, whatever it takes. I'm starting to wonder if people really need romantic partners to be happy. What if we could be happy just being alone? Right now the possibility of finding a someone doesn't seem to be worth the potential for heartbreak.

For a man who has consistently felt powerless in his relationships, of course it would seem to be the case. The reverse also seems true for the woman who consistently feels powerless. It actually doesn't even matter who is right. Even if on average men have more power in their relationships, it doesn't help the guy who has no power. If it's women who generally have more power in their relationships, it doesn't help the woman who doesn't. It's like telling a short guy that he should have no probl…

Everyone here talks as if some people are nice and some people are assholes. My contradictory opinion is that every person on this planet is nice when they think it benefits them and an asshole when they don't care enough to conceal it. It doesn't matter how long you look, you will never find a truly nice girl or guy. Rpillers half agree with this but they still think nice guys exist.

Simply looking at and assessing the attractiveness of the people divorcing. What do you mean by this? Are you saying that the women divorcing their husbands are all hotter than him? Don't know; but it's irrelevant. If your theory states that women divorce their husbands because they are too beta, then wouldn't it follow that the marriages with alpha men have lower divorce rates? But if divorce rates are uniform, then they are likely uncorrelated with the husband's betaness. Comparisons of men mo…

Women lie and call beta bux guys "sexy" when they're not; it's female hamsterizing and rationalizing the use of, and the marrying of, unattractive men, because those are the only ones left who will have those women after they're done riding all the pretty cocks on the carousel. How do you know this? Divorce rates? Are divorce rates any lower for 'alpha' men? Women marry men they're not really all that sexually attracted to ALL THE TIME. Again, how do you know this?

I don't get why you all find this so telling. What if it was phrased like this instead? "Date the party girls, the sorority sluts, the crazy bitches. But do not marry them. The things that make those women sexy do not make them good wives. When it comes time to settle down, date the woman who values you, appreciates you, and doesn't expect you to treat her like a princess. Someone who enjoys spending time with you more than taking tequila shots off her girlfriend for the attention of local bar b…

Not sure but I think that historically, the parents chose the woman's partner, not the woman herself.

The expectations placed on women are primarily related to their appearance. For instance I once had a boyfriend who was disgusted by body hair so I had to shave completely every time there was even a possibility of sex (so every day basically). This is an extreme example, but I think it's true that men place higher expectations on a woman's appearance and hygiene than women do on men.

I have analyzed the situation endlessly in my head and the best I can come up with is that he uses the feeling of being in love to distract himself from his troubles. When I started being more needy I became a responsibility instead of a distraction. In comparison she seemed easy and sufficiently exciting enough to help him forget his troubles. He didn't have to worry about her feelings because she had none for him. She offered what he wanted, the promise of a responsibility-free stimulation whi…

How much more focused on her looks was this other girl compared to you? I am more focused on my looks, because I have to work to look feminine. She is more naturally beautiful and doesn't wear make up or do anything to her hair. She also is more curvy and I have a more athletic (but more masculine) body type. How did he try to change you? He wanted me to be non-reactive to his emotions. For instance, when he would tell me some bad experience he had, I would become sad thinking about it, or I wou…

Yeah, he did except he's not an alpha by anyone's standards. He was the opposite. He felt so safe, loving, kind, gentle, and even needy that I never believed he could hurt anyone, let alone me, the person closest to him. His explanation was that he was tired of being in love with me, and that she met his needs better. What does that mean? What did I do wrong?

What specifically are you born with? Something in your brain? How your neurons are connected? I would say intelligence is the ability to reason, learn, memorize, solve problems, adapt, and analyze. Knowledge is the memory of information. Your IQ can change over time. Maybe you'd find this article interesting. http://www.iqtestexperts.com/iq-improve.php

That's what most people think, but have you ever tried to work on your intelligence? If you practice spacial reasoning, for an example, you will get better at it over time. The paths in your brain that deal will this task get more efficient the more you use them.

My best friend broke my heart. We used to hang out for 10 hours at a time and it would seem like ten minutes. I thought he was the kindest, most understanding, most trustworthy person in the world. We would tell each other every secret we had without fear of judgement from the other person. I thought we had the perfect relationship. We had a few months of romance before he started getting super critical of me. I tried to change into what he wanted , and I think I did a good job too. However, the…

Beauty because intelligence is a skill that can be increased over time with some effort. There is a limit to how beautiful you can make yourself without plastic surgery.

1: Women of PPD, what is your physical-attractiveness ideal? (Please be detailed.) Tall with dark hair, glasses, and a kind, slightly angular face. Body lean and athletic. Basically Dev Patel. pic 2: What is your physiological reaction when you meet a man like this? (Do you blush? Get goosebumps? Etc.?) I get a little nervous. I'll only blush if he starts talking about something sexual. 3: What is your psychological reaction when you meet a man like this? (Do you become self-aware? Etc.?) I get …

Petite, soft, tapered arms and narrow shoulders is the feminine ideal. Any amount of strength training will cause her frame to move away from this ideal. Of course you can still look feminine, but you will still be deviating from the Jessica Rabbit, or K-pop star models of the feminine frame. Can I ask you why you decided it was worth it? Strength, fun, or competition? Part of it is for my own self approval and for my health, but also I'd rather guys respect me than want to have sex with me.

My shoulders are broader and my arms more masculine looking than they were before. I also am small chested so my upper body definitely looks more man-ish than I would like. I decided that the sacrifice was worth it, but I can understand why many women would want to avoid this. Women aren't afraid of looking like Arnold, they just don't want to deviate from their small, soft, feminine frame. Slender, petite, and curvy is the ideal, not strong and fit.

basically be a Strong Independent Woman Who Don't Need No Man (tm), i.e. an uncivil shrieking harpy who moonlights as a ballbusting shrew. Why do you think being independent and strong means you are a ballbusting shrew?

Let me restate my point. RP gives certain advice that on the surface is geared towards women, but is actually meant to benefit men. Regardless of the intended beneficiaries, in real life, men do not reward the women who follow the RP advice of being submissive.

I recognize this in myself. I also imagine that I would like a submissive man because I feel unappreciated and powerless in my relationships.

We generally don't complain about things when we're happy. You do, because like most people, men don't really know what they want. For a man who has never had the power in his romantic relationships, a submissive partner seems like a good deal. However, you will soon take her for granted, get bored, and start looking at more exciting tail. It's human nature.

Recently I learned an important lesson about men. You can't avoid getting your heartbroken by avoiding the typical good looking, popular guys, or any certain type of man. Even the nerdy shy guys can hurt you. If a new woman shows them interest, there is no guarantee that they will be any more loyal to you than the alpha guy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
