That's a great idea! We can have some sort of public registry of people who have performed any sort of sexually deviant offense. That was all in jest, of course.....but I agree that false accusers should be registered. I just think we can use the existing sexual offender registry. Why reinvent the wheel? If their accuser was found guilty, they would be on that list, most likely....so false accusers should face the same punishment.

Did anyone point out the obvious that all coed teams means there was no all mens team either, or did the people bitching about sexism conveniently overlook that point?

I am totally on board with this way of thinking, but for this specific scholarship, the lady who is offering it (who is paying for it) listed the preference for men (in memory of her late veterinarian husband). In this instance, I'm fine with it since it's her money...she can spend it however she wishes. If it was taxpayer money, I would have another opinion.

I've been strongly considering stocking up buying some socks, underwear, sweatpants, undershits, etc. I think those youtube sponsors are doing a number on my consumerist side. Did you try other brands before settling on the two mentioned above?Any brands you had bad experiences with? or crappy products.

She's as insecure as equifax. Is that a thing now? Can we start using that? ...because I like it.

You know, we've seen countless AMAs from people who have had their cases heard on shows like these. Even behind teh scenes producers. Is it a real court? no of course not. But calling it fake isnt right either.

You should read up on how the justice system works. She hasn't gone to trial yet.

I'm not going to say she didn't deserve to get slapped, but I do think that guy escalated from 2 to 10 in like a split second. I don't think she needed to be hit so hard that she fell on the ground and was slurring her speech afterwards. I'd feel that way if it was a guy he hit and knocked down so hard.

Yeah, except when she got back up she was talking much slower and slurring her speech. She got knocked the fuck down. She'll be feeling that later. About the only thing keeping her conscience is the unhealthy combination of adrenaline and alcohol running through her veins.

Whats scary is taking this same logic to other conclusions. If I represent myself as rich and a girl sleeps with me but finds out later that I was lying, can she remove consent after the fact?

Not OP, but it's a simplified version of reality. There is no such thing as a penis pass in the same way that there is a pussy pass. The genders will never be equal, but that's cause they both have their own individual up sides and down sides. There are a lot of areas where men have a clear advantage, just as women have a clear advantage in other areas. The pussy pass is much more of a clearly defined phenomenon that's easy to find 15 second video clips of and outrageous facebook posts.

It's an easy way to pass the blame for your cheating act onto someone else. "I would never have cheated on you if I was sober." And, that common excuse gets turned into, "I never gave consent because I was too drunk to give consent". Take responsibility for your actions....or don't put yourself into a serious relationship when you're in college. It's a time you should be meeting more people anyway. Enjoy the variety :) You'll have plenty of time for serious relationships later in life.

So all this is half right. I mean, it's completely right, but it ignores why those title ix changes happened in the first place. It was because prior to the changes, it was felt that sexual assaults weren't being investigated enough. They were mostly being swept under the rug...and that's because of what the original poster talked about. The schools weren't wanting to have higher crime stats reported. The whole article was about how the pendulum has swung in the opposite direction.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
