They need socialization, and not all of it can happen at home. Kindergarten is 830 - 2pm five days a week; they often have periods of time where they focus on, say, music, or a cultural project. During those times, no children play with Legos. During the cultural project, no children get to do music. It seems very reactionary and worrisome to me to globalize a short term limitation too much. I have two boys and two girls. This teacher is seriously the best kindergarten teacher any of my four children had.
