Certainly, and thanks for the reply. I'm 41, she's 38 and married for 7.5yrs. She earns about $70k and I own my own consulting business and earn more than her. She's not met with an attorney that I'm aware of. We've been in counselling and in a nutshell I've lost feelings for her. Counselling over the past couple months have solved some micro issues but not some of the primary ones where it's changing my feelings toward her. Counseling is a good step. My wife and I have had issues for years that have created tension and division. I was surprised at how a moderator got to the root cause and helped us both understand each other’s perspective. By fixing some of the little things it can help avoid what leads to big arguments. I consider myself an effective communicator and rational but the counseling help me see what I was doing to cause her to feel the way she was. I was ready to file but backed out and sought the path…

I agree with the working out also! Does wonders mentally. Keep trying and eventually someone will make you feel similar about them as you do your ex.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I'm visiting an attorney tomorrow and will find out more. I'm wondering what actually matters? As in, what stories/background to share with the attorney regarding our past that hold meaning in the proceedings rather than nit-picky BS argument scenarios. Ultimately it'd be great if we can avoid trial and mediate everything.
