And we're still very good friends because they understand what I mean.

No, that's not what I'm saying at all. Same sex couples raise children every single day, and they are great parents. Single moms and dads raise kids every single day and they are great parents. Never did I say neither couldn't raise children effectively because I know people in both situations that have and are at the moment. They've done an amazing job. As I posted in an earlier post, although they've done a great job, I've had the experience of some of these children talking to me as they've g…

No and she shouldn't expect you to be a 4 day a month dad. That's really unfair to you and your kids. Did she ever think that she can do fun stuff with them during the week? Does she let you see them any during the week in the evenings when you get off work? She needs to be thankful that they have a dad that wants to spend his weekends with his kids. I absolutely love the dads today that take pride and enjoy doing things with their kids. I had my kids young, right after high school, and I never …

Those ways need to change. That judge needs to put his/her self in that situation and think if it were them, or their kid and grandkids but they don't think like that. Sounds like they are stuck with that old mentality that kids belong with their mom. In your friends case, and a lot of other cases, that's just not right.

That's true. I just wish people would put kids first. Their happiness and peace of mind should come before any bad feelings one has for their ex. At one time they loved each other so they need to think about that. I told my kids the person you marry usually isn't the person you'll divorce.

You're welcome. You're right, your child is way more important than the amount of money you can make. It's great seeing all the fathers that take such pride in being a great father. I was telling a friend of mine a few months back that I see more dads where we live raising their kids, than the way it was years ago. There are a lot of fathers that have custody and if they don't have full custody they have 50/50. I think if both parents are good parents then both parents should be able to see the …

Wow! That's the most disgusting thing . They need to change the damn laws in FL. I have a cousin that lives there and was getting ready to move there but I am currently taking care of my mother, who has Alzheimers, but I plan to move there eventually. I would love to start some type of campaign to change that shit

I'm not saying that men can't raise their daughters and women can't raise their sons just as well as the other, I'm saying they need that same sex parent in their life. Not saying that parent should be the only parent raising them, but they need that parent.

I'm sorry your mom acted that way and acted as if because you loved your dad you couldn't love her too. That's just insane. Parents do stuff like this to their kids and then wonder why they have problems with them. She should have been glad that you wanted to spend time with your dad. Not saying this is the case, but with some women I know, if the ex would continue paying them child support they'd let their kids live with their dad in a heartbeat. That really infuriates me. Good luck and I'm gla…

You know one of my best friends in high school was left by her mom, her dad had left them all, and her mom decided to choose men over her kids so she dropped them on their aunt and uncle to raise them. The bastard uncle molested the girls from the time they were 2 and 4 until they were old enough to leave (my friend got married to escape it) anyway she had a great husband who treated her wonderful. They had a son and after about 7 years of marriage is when it came out about the molestation. They…

I'm sorry you had such a vindictive mother who hurt you, but I'm glad you had a great dad that raised you. Good for you, for telling your mom to fuck off, and hopefully someday when she's alone she'll reflect back, and feel a little bit of the pain that you felt. ❤

Yes, that's great! At least they won't blame you for not "letting " them go. Who knows he might be the type that would tell them you wouldn't let him see them more. Props to you mom 🙂

Those dads piss me off because there are so many dads that would give anything to have access to their kids like that, and the assholes that have access and won't take it just piss me off🤬 The kids don't understand why they can't spend more time with their dad, and you're telling him he can spend his days off with them, but he chooses to be that 4 day a month parent. 😥

I'm not sexist at all. I'm a female that believes certain things and that's why opinions are like assholes, we all have them!

I'm not saying they can't be good parents because I know a lot of single mothers where the dads were absent by choice, and they have great relationships with their sons, but I've also been the one that those sons have opened up to and talked about not having a dad and how it has affected them.

No, it's not a sexist comment. A dad is the most important role model in a son's life, same as a mother and daughter. Sorry if you disagree

Exactly. He should get to see them every single day

That's just sad. I just don't understand why a mother would do that. My kids had the worst dad ever when it came to the way he treated me, and he didn't spend time with them on his days off. I left him when they were just little because I couldn't let them grow up thinking it was ok for them to treat women that way. After we divorced he got them on weekends and I told him he could come see them everyday but he chose not to. When he would show up on the weekends to get them he would drive them st…

I wish I could do something to change the way our stupid system works, because it's the most screwed up system, and they don't take the kids into consideration. Way to go judges and moms. I'm a mom but if the dad's are good dads and not harming the children they should get just as much time as the mom. I think they should get to see them everyday if their schedule allows

I'm sorry. I think it's bullshit and wish there was something I could do for every man out there. This is one woman that has ALWAYS been on the man's side when it comes to this subject

You know I hope it's changing. I know a lot of dad's raising their kids, where I live. These mothers that are holding their kids from spending time with their dad to "punish" the ex, is hurting the kids. I know bitches that do that and they are the woman was the one that was cheating and left. I just don't understand it and trust me I've told plenty women that's how I feel. I was a hairdresser for many years, plus my friends, and I believe in speaking your mind, so I've definitely told a lot of …

I totally agree. As a female it has always pissed me off to see women punishing their children just because they're pissed at their ex. It's always just really aggravated me that they think it's fair that a dad only see his children 4 days a month. It's bullshit. The fathers are the children's parent as well and should be given as much time as the mother. The most important role model in a child's life is the same sex parent. I know there are shitty dads out there, BUT I know a lot of shitty mom…
