It sounds like she’s showing zero interest in changing long-term. The chances, therefore, of her changing are zero. Someone who is truly interested in changing would work on it every day on multiple different levels to change.

"No" is a complete sentence. Gray rock her and do not JADE. This has the added advantage of driving her CRAZY. It did mine.

You could block her from calling (i.e. not talk to her) and just communicate by text messages. But I do think you need some sort of direct communication unless there is an emergency. By the time I got divorced digital voicemail (transcription of the voicemail message) was a thing. Ex would call to rant and rave. I would read the transcription (much less of an emotional hit) and then archive the message for future reference. I had a silent ringtone so the phone never rang. I communicated exclusiv…

I think that is common to people in general. I’ve noticed that almost all of my friends (male and female) do this; I make a conscious effort, when speaking to others, not to do this. It’s very annoying when I have something I want to discuss. My ex-wife was the complete opposite; she always wanted to talk about me. (In both good and bad ways at different times)

When I was 44 I dated someone who was 32. It felt a little odd to me (never dated anyone that much younger than I was) but no one had any issues with it. It probably helped that I looked young for my age and they did not. Ended up breaking up because they were too immature and I didn’t see a path forward. Was lots of fun for a few months though.

The court may, probably will, disagree with you. It’s a legal system not a justice system. And she did help you get where you are (kids / job) so maybe she’s due something. If your income are reasonably comparable you probably won’t owe much alimony (amount or duration) but you’ll owe child support for sure if she winds up with the kids. I saw you emailed; if no answer soon would try calling. Also - if you don’t want her to know about the $150k probably shouldn’t have mentioned it here.

My ex used to try and flip it on me like this all the time. Let me fix what she says to you: She is saying she can’t take them to practice on her days so the kids aren’t able to do their sports if she can’t figure out how to get them there. It’s on her to figure it out. She can ask another parent in the team to drive, hire a driver, have them walk or ride their bikes, etc. Let her solve it. If you want to help out then do so. If you don’t that’s fine too. If I had the time I would so it. If I ha…

Get a good lawyer and listen to what they have to say. Initial consultation is usually free. Ask your friends who they used for their divorce. This plan will not work (for reasons others have pointed out but mostly because the case will be tried in California after your wife files there) and will most assuredly result in you losing custody and perhaps access to your kids depending on how good your wife’s lawyer is. It behooves you to file fast and file first in a case like this - get moving.

Do you have a reference for these that is not a website with the word Father in the address? I’d like to believe these statistics are true but suspect that they generalizes to “kids without two functional parents” or “children without an involved dad” rather than simply “children without a father”. I suspect that kids without a mom would have similar stats to these and that kids in a (very) dysfunctional family where the parents actively fight would be the same or worse as well. I wonder how man…

This is a question you should ask your attorney; sometimes these things are location (i.e. judge/court specific). In America, in general, each of you owes 50% of the debt at the time of split; I don’t know how your taking out a new loan after separation and then paying off a joint loan would work.

You are not hurting her – she is hurting her. She knows her behaviors are causing issues with you and yet she continues to do them. She does not care about you or your feelings; I’m not sure why you should care more about her than she cares about you.

It’s long past your appointment (how did it go???) but I’ll say it anyway and hope I’m wrong: Those are wonderful logical points. She has made an emotional decision (hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and all). Your logic won’t trump her emotions.
