So do you agree that I have to literally give up a wedding? Dates? That my husband doesn’t even need a job? My God. I thought the standards were low but I can’t believe I need to stoop EVEN further.

I’m not sexually attracted to black or Asian guys. Believe me, I’ve tried

Honestly I’ll take anything at this point as long as he doesn’t hit me or my future kids. I don’t understand all the hate I’ve gotten here - it’s not like I’m a fat single mom with a disfigured face and tattoos. I have SOME value, why do I have to remove EVERYTHING? At that point I’d just be entering a legal contract with a man I am not attracted to and disrespect. Deleting hinge I guess.

I would! Should I force myself to sleep with a guy I don’t even find SOMEWHAT attractive? Literally everyone is hating on me for this thread and doesn’t even realize how low my other standards are. Yes I’ve dated black and asian guys, and got the ick. They were hot and nice, but I just couldn’t develop feeling for them for some reason. But to hell with that, who needs feelings for a husband? 🙄

Thanks! So should I dispense with the criminal record too!? What else do I let go of? At this point I’m willing to date any unemployed guy who doesn’t even take me on dates. On top of that, he has to be in his 40s and bald, according to the responses here. Am I really worth so little? It’s not like I’m a fat single mom….I’m so depressed reading this.

I agree on ethnicity, but only if you’re trying to date OUTSIDE your race. If you yourself are of a certain culture and “type,” what’s so wrong about that? Most couples stay marry within their own ethnicity. The number of interracial relationships are pretty low, statistically speaking. Also I’m not sure if you read the entire post? If you didn’t, you didn’t need to reply. The bottom half lists NUMEROUS things that I’m willing to let go of. If that’s not broad enough, then I don’t know what is

This is kind! But you DID mention that men will only prefer 27 year olds over 32 year olds (is the difference really THAT drastic? I basically look the same and I’m not wrinkled or gray lol but that’s another convo). Would you agree that an older lady has very little value over one in her late 20s? How can she find someone who cares about her when she’s going to get passed up by every man in his 30s? Does she need to exclusively date men in their 40s? How healthy will their sperm be? I don’t wan…

Thanks! I originally said like 70k with a white collar job (I live in SoCal). That is too picky for someone my age. Then I dropped it to 50k. It’s still not enough, so I scratched it entirely. If the best I can get is a man who works part time or is in between jobs… does that really matter in the long run? What someone does or doesn’t do for a job has no actual impact on how they treat you and how committed they are to the relationship. As tough as it is, if I have to be the main breadwinner…I g…

Thank you! What a comment! Your husband sounds dreamy. I would, in theory, agree… but options are few and far in between. A man who’s willing to do all this for a woman must be HEAD over heels for her!!!! And why would he invest all of this into someone who’s not in her 20s? Seems foolish to me - I certainly wouldn’t, if I was 35 and had options. Chances are slim. I’d have to get SUPER lucky

Because the standards are too high, according to some people. And too low according to others :( i suppose if someone is nice to you and youre both decently attracted to one another, it shouldnt matter what they do for a living. And I have a good job, so I don’t necessarily NEED a man’s salary to support me. I might if we have kids - it’ll be tight to pay for a house, 2 kids, and myself all on my own.

Hmmm I appreciate this long, thought-out answer! Thank you for typing this out!! Definitely gave me a lot to mull over. I’ve been told my “list” is too long, and I need to date even older and men who are overweight. I guess that’s not a dealbreaker, but how many more freaking levels do I have to stoop!? I’m not asking for a wedding or even a college education. On top of that, I’m not allowed to be somewhat attracted to him either!? The issue with compatibility and asking for “more” is I’m just g…

Yes I know! I’m scratching ALL career now. I guess all the hard work I’ve put into studying and exams and interviewing and moving up in corporate means I can’t expect anything remotely close from a guy. I’m swallowing the hard pill that my hard work is meaningless, and I might need to support a husband because he may not have a career. So be it.

Also not sure if you read the bottom half of the post because you’re fixating on one item out of 30. I don’t see any other way to continually lower what I’m asking for unless I accept physical abuse or something. Plenty of guys insult or hit their wives, and the wives stay with them. I don’t want to be abused :(

Ok, so let’s say I expand the height to include 5’10 and non-white men (which I’m not attracted to because I’m white myself so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to date within your OWN social circles but ok). Why would a 5’10 man date a 5’8 woman when he can get someone who makes him feel more masculine, like a 5’2 woman? This doesn’t exactly make life easier here because I won’t have an easier time competing for that guy at all. In fact it might be even harder. It’s tough out there for us tall gi…

Thanks but I am NOT looking for a cardiologist! If one asked me out, I’d know he was joking lol. And it sounds like the men you were looking for are WAY higher than what I’m looking for…good for you for bagging a valuable men so young! I’m willing to overlook jobs entirely at this point. A cashier will do, because I have my own job and can cover finances (not that it makes me valuable)… so no, I really don’t think I’m asking for too much here :(

Should I date a black guy then? They value white women more than white men I think. Or a guy who’s like 5’9. At that point, I’ll finally have given up everything I ever wanted in a man. A tiny bit of physical attraction and a little bit of companionship is all I ask for…and it looks like i have to give that up too, on top of everything else. If I can’t at least like his company and willingly have sex with him, then I’m not sure I want to get married at all… I don’t even get to have a wedding AND…

Because I’m supportive, loyal, and can have his kids (I’m still fertile for another few years!), take care of him/them. I can also pay the mortgage off my own salary, if his isn’t high enough. I’ve seen women in my life take care of their households and have happy families without flashy investments from their husbands. All in all, a good deal for him!! :)

I don’t care about hair that much but… bald… I mean that’s tough. If I have to do bald, and someone that’s in between jobs, then so be it. I guess you’re right that it’s unfair to have physical preferences in romantic relationships. I should be approaching this as a friendship instead.

Well what’s your criteria? Would you be willing to date a guy 15 years older than you, with no education? Are you willing to date someone who’s overweight? I want to know what your standards are before you attack me for mine. If I have to accept verbal abuse or something to not be forced to date uncomfortably older or shorter men, then so be it.

I e listened to him before and he states exactly what my fear is - I have low value. All women in their 30s do. In your 40s it gets even worse. This is why I’m compromising on pretty mix every single metric I define success by in my life. The men “on my level” (which is in fact, LOW) will not go for me. They’ll date women in their 20s. Facts.

Happy you like your husband! That’s good to hear and give me hope. Well I’m willing to compromise a lot! My last boyfriend did not do much, and I was still ok with it. It’s not ideal, but given my already undesirable height and age, I know what my wants vs needs are and they’re listed above :)

:( am I wrong though?? Lol. I used to think it was a joke but if you read literally any website or forum on single women after 30…ESPECIALLY RP stuff. Most guys seem hesitant to date a 30+ woman (unless he’s 45), and pretty much every “help me I’m single” post on Reddit by a 30year old woman confirms this. I wish I was trolling, lol. Even Tinder data shows men like 18 year olds and we get less and less attractive from there. It’s so sad!!

I can, actually! Ok I’ll try to go out with some teachers or cops. I’ll see how it goes.

Awww you are kind for writing that! Isn’t over 30 a little too old to expect preferential treatment? Why would a man with a job, who is taller than me, and not abusive, who can EASILY pull at 26-year old, date me? I’m trying to be reasonable here. There’s nothing a 30-year old can provide that he can’t find in a younger woman… so by lowering your asks, you automatically become easy to please and easier to date!!
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 04:42 AM

Thanks! Let’s say I date a short black guy I’m not attracted to. Then do I still need to go up to 45 years old? Is my inherent value and worth so low now that I can only pull men in their 40s? I know a 35-year old will pump and dump a 32 year-old, as is he should, because he can still get 25 year olds. But am I absolutely limited to men in their 40s?

Interesting, ok! Did any of these women meet their husbands after 30? I feel like only women in their 20s can lock down a proper lifestyle. After 30, and it’s asking a little too much I think. Everyone on red pill women, etc. says you need to expect much less.

Wait, so can an overeducated woman (read: bachelor’s or master’s) who’s not the most submissive 25-year old still desire a middle class life? Is that even possible?
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 04:18 AM

I don’t care about private schools, no, but I do want a middle class home in a neighborhood with a good public school district. I’m willing to work for it too, it’s not like I’m unemployed. I never asked him to pay for it all. I’m willing to submit to a man to be a SAHM or work full-time with kids. I would never ask someone to spend every weekend with my parents, but I’m very close to my family and we host events and get-together a regularly, so yes - I asked him to join about once a month. Thanks! I’ve already lowered my criteria for education if you didn’t read the post. Weight is also a non-issue as long as they’re not fat (I go to the gym all the time, is it fair for me to date someone who is overweight???) Degrees do not matter to me. One stable, full time job, which makes less than I do, is good. I guess I could lower career expectations to none, meaning unemployed. That’s an option - as long as he is nice to me, and is TRYING to find a job, he would make a good partner, beca…

That’s fair, but I don’t think I’m looking for a top 10% man? Im even willing to throw out degree requirements - I don’t even know anyone without a degree! He doesn’t even have to take me on dates, or have a good job! Just ONE full-time job. He doesn’t even need to exercise, even though that’s an important quality to look for in a man. I am not asking for a lot.
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 03:57 AM

I demanded too much. I have dated different “types” including different ethnicities. Creative guys, corporate guys, a teacher. My last boyfriend worked at my company, and told me I expected too much from him. I wanted to buy a house together and do all the things - engagement, wedding, babies. I also wanted routine physical contact, and wanted him to integrate with my family, and he didn’t want to do it. My desires pushed him away

I hear you, but aren’t hand holding and shared hobbies too shallow and not required for a long-term partnership??? It also doesn’t matter if they like your family or not. I’ve had plenty of girlfriends get abused (physically), and a guy who doesn’t do that is already a catch. Everyone else is telling me I’m already too picky so I’m not sure what else to do….

I’ve actually had a nose job, breast implants, AND I focus on being submissive and quiet! I definitely don’t need to lose 50 lbs. Most modern women in SoCal are career women and have uncommitted sex, thus lowering their value. Even women in their 20s are not commitment worthy (some of them, if they’re too liberal). And yes, I’ve had some interested guys over the years, but nothing has ended in marriage yet. Hopefully these things I’m doing for myself increase my worth on the dating market, even …

What would you recommend then? I’m willing to date guys in their 40s now. I know I don’t have a lot of value. I ask for very little. Should I date outside of my race? I’m not sure I could sleep with them if there isn’t some level of attraction there, but I can try.
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 03:14 AM

Ok, I understand. I increased my age range to 40. Been on a few dates with 40-year old men and it felt awful, but at least they weren’t abusive and had jobs.
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 03:01 AM

I see what you’re saying. In that case, do I need to lower other expectations then? Do I need to date a firefighter? I already do not require a wedding or a ring or family time or even ask him to do his own laundry. I would LOVE to have a wedding for example, but asking for his is a WANT, not a need. Especially at my age.
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 03:00 AM

Salary and career isn’t that important to me if you can’t tell. As long as they have some livable wage and are full-time employed, a doctor or lawyer holds no further value, and they would likely be seeking a younger, skinnier woman anyway.
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 02:57 AM
-6

I would be taller than a 5’9 guy in shoes. That would be emasculating. I am willing to be submissive, cook for him, and have kids with him and raise them - all without requiring much on his part. That’s more than most women are willing to do I think! Is that not good enough?
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 02:53 AM

So should I throw this list out and accept abuse, rape, and a guy who works at Mcdonalds’? Should I date Asian men or something? I don’t understand what else I need to do. I’m not even asking for them to buy me birthday cards. Or should I be ok with cheating?
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 02:48 AM
-7

That’s EXACTLY what I’m saying! Thank you for this. I agree the standards are pretty high. I’m trying to keep expectations to a bare minimum. I don’t want to date someone shorter than me. One of my biggest life values is education (everyone in my family has a master’s except me), and I’m throwing that out the window to find a husband. At least I’m not fat. The only thing left would be to accept abuse or rape.
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 02:46 AM

Fair point. It’s a needle in a haystack for everyone. availability is pretty low, which is why I’m trying to limit this to the bare minimum :(

/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 02:28 AM

Aww you are kind! My family is American actually; we’re all in the LA area, but my dad is an emotionless boomer. Is it ok to desire dates and ask to be shown off in public from a man like this if you’re over 30? I’m too tall, too educated, and not young enough (most of them go for 25 year old blondes). Knowing my competition, I wouldn’t expect a stable, tall man to treat me like a queen when he can get better. If I ask for too much, I’ll be rejected :/
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 02:27 AM
-5

Ok. So how do I lower my standards then? He doesn’t even have to take me on DATES if you read the bottom half - I’m willing to settle on a LOT of my lifestyle values because I know I’m picky and shallow. I know I’m too tall, and not young enough, and too educated. I am not valuable to men in general. If he is tall, has a legal job, and doesn’t hit me or rape me, I’m going to go for him. The rest is semantics.
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 02:22 AM
0

That’s true - so how do I continue to lower my standards? I could date a heavier guy, for example. I already require very little emotional investment. I don’t even care if he has a degree, or a relationship with his family or mine. What else would I need to lower outside of height?
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 02:19 AM
1

I’d love to agree with you but men with quality careers that live in OC will look for a younger, hotter, and more submissive girl. They love blondes too (I’m brunette unfortunately). I don’t think I have a shot with a man of this caliber, especially not if he goes to the gym and treats women well. He will know his worth and competition will be HIGH.
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 02:17 AM
1

I’m not!!! Plenty of blue collar workers make more than white collar workers so it’s actually NOT about salary. But my family is all in finance, law, and engineering. Some medicine, and one dentist. Anyone who is blue collar would likely not… fit in with my friends, coworkers, and family, if you know what I mean. It sounds extremely shallow, I know, but I’m just uncomfortable going outside of what my world is.
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 02:07 AM
-6

Exactly… so I don’t care what he does as long as he’s not abusive, is employed, and is tall. If I looked for a guy 5’10 and up, that would only increase my dating pool from 15% to like 30% - still a minority. It’s not a huge jump. And yes I realize that I’m shallow, which is why I’m lowering my ask for vacations, dates, fitness habits, and more. Hell, he doesn’t even have to call me beautiful if he’s not comfortable with it!
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 02:05 AM
-2

I’m 5’8 and white. Most people in my neighborhood and gym and job are white. I think it’s ok. The height is a very important factor for attraction to me, so much that I am willing to give up a LOT of other desires (see bottom half of the list). I’ve already thrown out a lot of things that would make me happy, I don’t see why I’m being pressured to now date a guy shorter than what I love. I don’t think it’s an unnatural desire for women, and height, hair, and straight teeth are my ONLY physical a…

Interesting! I used to “require” a guy with a bachelor’s degree and job similar to mine, and I used to ask for date nights and vacations together. I was dumped and he said I expected too much. I used to post pictures of us on IG. I’ve taken a long look at my desires and realized I don’t NEED an exciting guy to take a weekend trip with me, or a photo together. What I NEED is for him to be stable, predictable, and not a cheater. My “high” standards pushed men away, so I’d have to disagree about th…

Well no but I’ve seen fit guys have awful eating habits (burgers, takeout, binge drinking on weekends) and they were still pretty healthy. Again, as long as he’s not overweight, I could probably be ok with it. I work out enough myself so hopefully it’ll rub off on my partner. I am also picky on other things (salary and employment stability) so the fewer dealbreakers, the better here. Trying to keep a lean list.
/r/RedPillWomen11/04/23 01:34 AM

I agree the list above wouldn’t make me happy, but I would be content. MOST people marry within their own ethnicity, so I don’t think that’s unrealistic. And I REALLY like someone taller than me. I also really want a guy that’s employed full-time, pays bills on time, with the capacity to save. I figured if I can let go of some desires (body type, spoiling me, gifts, constant attention), then I can keep other desires such as stable employment status. Everything else - diet, gym habits, intelligen…

That is kind of you but I have some pretty shallow things that matter for attraction (for example, I do want a man that’s taller than me with even teeth and some hair (receding is fine).) Women’s standards are too high these days, especially if they’re educated and over 30. I also DO care about salary because a 1-bedroom apartment is $4k where I live, and don’t want to move. I also want kids, so anything lower is not feasible. I do not expect a salary higher than or even close to mine. If I make…

I would start with holding off on any more sex until you get a ring. You’re already not a virgin, AND over 30, so you’ll be lucky to even get a boyfriend at this stage. You need to seriously date older, divorced men with children. Forget about height and career. Don’t expect him to “treat you like a goddess” - LOWER your demands. What were you doing at 25? Men were probably drooling over you (if you were skinny), and you cast them aside in search of a 6-figure man with a 6-pack. Focusing on the …

Please please do not listen to the people here who are telling you to forgo an education in lieu of finding a man. Life is much more than gaining a guy’s approval, and great guys want at least some level of education in a woman. Also the wall is a ridiculous notion and you can build a living for yourself while dating and getting married. These are NOT mutually exclusive events, and most often occur simultaneously. Perhaps you should reframe your thinking to “motherhood-friendly careers” instead …

Thank you! Great advice. I think a lot of these “averages” that are meant to freak you out are combining rural areas with educated and diverse cities like NYC, Chicago, etc. Certain metrics in extremely HCOL areas like SoCal (where I live) can be considered low standards for some regions, but ridiculous for others. Can’t believe everything we read online! 🤣
