Yup this is pretty much it. I know my industry is great(cargo) and they only judge you on how many hours you have and if you can get the job done or not.

Also oxygen masks don’t seal correctly around beards. That’s why fighter pilots and most of us aviators can’t have beards flying at high altitudes.

None of them were about me but I’m afraid to go to my parents house now because I think she might come after me next because she had some idea of what I was worth back then(it’s a lot more now) and might want to get some of it. I like to think she’s smart enough not to due to that in the short time we were together she saw me destroy someone legally who tried to come after me but you never know.

Few reasons actually To get to a pax regional you need 1500 hrs to sit right seat. For FexEx's aircraft, right seat requires 0 so I don't have to flight instruct which is huge for me The big reason though is boxes don't call company to complain about hitting turbulence, boxes don't require you to come back to break up a fight or deal with passenger issues. Boxes aren't people. Boxes are good

Pay has recovered since 9/11. The average regional airline is going to be paying 55K with a 20K signing bonus for sitting right seat. I'm training to be a box pilot at the moment and I already have a job offer from FedEx which I start the day after I graduate making 52K a year then after a year I get bumped up to Captain and get 92K. After 6 more years, I go to the large jets which starting is 270K. The pilot shortage is real and the airlines are paying for it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
