People on the internet quite frequently are not telling the truth.
/r/ExRedPill13/02/26 06:04 PM

Yes.
/r/ExRedPill05/02/26 05:25 PM

Open? Yes. Honest? Psychologically honest, maybe. People told the lies they really wanted to believe and couldn’t tell anywhere else, but they were still lies. I used to hang there frequently like 10 years ago. I know the appeal.

Transactional relationships were a thing way before social media, podcasts and Onlyfans. The more inequality and (perceived) scarcity you have in a society, the more people will use emotional and sexual service as a currency.

/r/ExRedPill12/10/25 04:54 PM

Why does it matter?
/r/ExRedPill16/08/25 02:55 PM

That is certainly a big factor: The risk-reward ratio of entering into a romantic relationship with a man has shifted in societies that are increasingly embracing fascism.

Why do you think you did that? And what could the adults in your life have done to prevent you from going down that road? (I’m raising a boy so the topic is close to my heart.)
/r/ExRedPill04/11/24 12:31 PM

I totally get that. And frankly, it’s not your job to be helpful to people who rage against your very existence.

I agree. And I think that all of the above would be easier if we could talk about gonorrhoea as casually as we talk about the flu. Ultimately, stigma helps spread diseases.
/r/ExRedPill21/10/24 07:18 PM

Herpes is quite manageable, apparently, and there’s a vaccine against HPV. Apart from that, shouldn’t you try to avoid catching or spreading disease in absolutely any other context as well? There are many good reasons against reckless indiscriminate promiscuity and many good reasons to have safe sex with people you trust, know, and genuinely like.

Well, yes, chronic diseases exist.
/r/ExRedPill21/10/24 05:34 PM

Of course, but how is that different from me telling my friends that I can't make it to D&D tonight because I have a sore throat and don't want to spread the infection? If you have a contagious disease you stay away from people, doesn't matter if you're meeting them to play music together or fuck.

STDs are just illnesses. If you ignore the stigma – and you should – most are minor inconveniences in the age of antibiotics.

I try this approach often. “Why do you believe that?”, “What led you to this conclusion?” In 9 out of 10 cases it is met with insults or some version of “I just know”. I don’t expect immediate effects, sometimes people need time to think. But maybe I can change something about my approach?

Life is not a competition. Even if it was, it wouldn’t be a fair competition because people are wildly different from each other and the challenges we face, the environments we live in are wildly different from each other as well. Unfair competitions are meaningless. What makes life worth living is not fighting each other to find out who’s best according to some random criteria. To create a halfway bearable world, we must cooperate, co-create and inspire each other. I don’t compete. I don’t domi…

About your recent experience: Every person you meet has their own issues that have nothing to do with you. Maybe the person you hooked up with has some trauma and something you (unknowingly) did or even just some smell or some noise from outside reminded her of it and triggered her flight response. Maybe her own high school self looked over her shoulder and told her she was a disgusting slut for having a one-night stand. There is probably nothing you can change to entirely avoid awful situations…

I said it’s not okay if you couldn’t see yourself being friends with them. “This is a nice person. In another life, we could be friends” is an okay attitude to have towards someone you hook up with. “This is a slut and I hate them” or “I don’t care if that person lives or dies” is not an okay attitude to have towards someone you hook up with.
/r/ExRedPill17/06/24 05:37 PM

Not at all! Hookups are fine! Sorry for confusing you.

It’s okay to want nothing but sex from another person, yes. But it’s not okay to have sex with someone you couldn’t see yourself being friends with. It’s not okay to have sex with someone who wants more than just sex from you. It’s not okay to treat a person like a thing.

You asked this sub to stop telling people to jerk off. What do you want them to tell you instead?
/r/ExRedPill17/06/24 04:52 PM

Masturbation is good for you. Trying to force other people into having sex with you is not good for you and hurts the other person as well. It’s that simple.
/r/ExRedPill17/06/24 04:50 PM

It is completely possible and very easy to jerk off while not watching porn.

Being 16 is hell, even under the best of circumstances. There are many different correct solutions for the problem you’re facing. Being abusive or starting to treat women like things isn’t one of them. Don’t let internet “alpha males” limit you. There are many ways to be a good man, and you’ll find yours.

As a teenager, I once stood in a queue, and in front of me, there was a very ugly man, and I thought to myself: “I am ugly, but if I were to wake up in that body, I’d jump right out of the window.” Angsty, stupid teenage thoughts. Then a little boy ran up to the man, possibly his son, crying, and the kindness and empathy that ugly man extended to that ugly child made my heart beat faster. All of a sudden, I saw him in a different light, almost literally, a warm glow. As an adult, I’ve been sexua…

It sounds like you hate being stereotyped. We all do. It just happens to you more often and in exponentially more dangerous ways than it happens to me (a white cis pansexual woman in Europe).

You, being a man, shape what it means to be a man every day, just by existing. Realize your power. Is it at all possible that you are really looking for a way to be a good (and I mean “good” in the sense of “morally sound” as well as “successful”) person?

In a way, that’s true and in a way, it’s not. Here’s why: 1) Human beings are complex. Very few of their traits can be adequately measured or ranked according to a scale. Sure, you can measure your height, weight, muscle mass and dick circumference. You can ask 10.000 women (I assume heterosexuality in this sub, my apologies if inaccurate) about their preferences regarding these stats, calculate your potential popularity and compare it to the potential popularity of every other guy you meet. But…

Stop comparing yourself to other people. I know it’s incredibly hard, but it’s necessary. Concentrate on something else. Read, work out, game or crotchet, doesn’t matter. If you must, compare yourself to yourself a year ago. Acknowledge how far you’ve come. And treat yourself like a good friend. (I know that’s hard too. But it’s necessary.)

If a person values other people merely as providers of sex/optics/dopamine and is just not into the unpredictability and complexity of human closeness, I don’t see a problem with them forgoing interpersonal relationships. Why should another human have to put up with being used? If the substitution of loved ones with robots will ever become a mass phenomenon – we will see. Humans do have a certain je ne sais quoi, and other humans are primed to react to that, so I have my doubts.

It’s not a bad thing to be interested in sex only – as long as your partner knows this and her interests align. And as long as you realise that your partner is a human being with a soul and a brain and of equal value to you. Romantic relationships are not mandatory.

I married my boyfriend of 15 years because in my country you’re entitled to a sizeable tax break if you make considerably more money than your spouse. I’m aware that that’s not a “romantic” reason, but I’m not a romantic (or spiritual) person. I never regretted marrying him. It makes a lot of the legal stuff surrounding long-term relationships much easier, especially if you decide to have children. That said, I do think the concept is somewhat unfair. Ideally, people should get a tax break for b…

I wholeheartedly agree. We need a cultural shift towards kindness. There are simple things we can start doing today: Let’s stop bashing politicians/celebrities we don’t like for their unpopular physical traits (pot belly, whispy hair etc.). Let’s use more relevant shortcomings (lack of achievement, statements, policies etc.) instead. There are plenty of perfectly good men who share physical characteristics with the people we’re talking shit about and there’s absolutely no reason to hurt them.

Women who can’t get laid exist. On Reddit, they call themselves femcels. Judging from the respective subreddits, they seem just as bitter as their male counterparts, but somewhat less hateful and a lot less violent. Psychological differences between men and women exist, but they’re not as deep and extreme as US culture makes them out to be. Some strands of popular culture, pseudoscience, religion etc. make it seem like men and women function completely differently, and that just doesn’t hold up.…

If sex is all you want and quantity is all that counts and you don’t really like women all that much except for fucking, why don’t you use hamburger meat instead? Just get 90 pounds at a time and heat it to body temperature. You can form up to five different women to your exact taste and fuck them as often as you want if you refrigerate the meat properly in between. Beef is easy to come by, affordable, emotionally safe and spares women from your advances. If you’re vegan, minced tofu and sunflow…

We are trained to think in economic categories. But economic principles are not applicable to personal relationships: You may not get a “return” for your “investment”. The solution is probably to improve yourself (or not) for the sake of improving yourself. And let life happen.

While it is a good idea to know and recognise red flags, your expectations shape your actions (or even just the way you communicate), and your actions shape other people’s actions. If any set of convictions can be classified as “red pill” or “blue pill” is none of my concern. My ex and I parted peacefully 20 years ago and I’ve been in a mostly happy relationship for almost two decades. Most of my life experience and most (actual, valid, serious) science suggest that the kind of world view I’d ha…

Real life relationships are very different from those depicted in romance novels, my friend. More boring, but also much deeper. And each one is as unique as the people who love each other. Honesty is tantamount. Vulnerability as well. Stupid games and thinking about the relationship in economic terms (“high value”) are poison.

This seems like an incredibly small thing to worry about. And would you want to be with a person who thinks about “nexting” you the moment you don’t text them for one day? Do you really care about your girlfriend or only about controlling her? If you don’t care about her as a person, stop wasting her time.

That’s how the term “incel” started out – it was coined by a Canadian student who founded an online self-help group for people (like herself) who couldn’t get laid in 1997: “Alana’s Involuntary Celibate Project”. After she left the group, it and and the term were taken over by boys and men who hated women. And that’s really a lot of what happens in incel groups: unproductive hate. If you don’t get laid even though you’d like to but don’t hate women, you’re an incel in the original sense of the w…

Woman here. Good God that guy is cringe-inducing. If I were him, I’d be ashamed to see myself on the internet like that. Stay away from any and all advice these people give you. Be you. Realize that all people – women, too – are their own person just like you. Treat them accordingly. That’s all.

I don’t think men who use flesh lights or sex bots are losers. I don’t think the customers of sex workers are losers. But a man who wants a sex bot instead of a female partner because he only values women as a set of wet holes is not a suitable partner for any woman. So I have some hope that the advent of sex bots will save us from being forced to interact with some of the more despicable and dangerous assholes out there.

Well, we are exploiting our pets. But I’d say that’s worse than fucking a robot. Pets feel pain. An aside: Don’t mention sex workers in the same line as sex dolls and flesh lights. Women want casual sex, too. Get tested for STDs. Buy condoms. If you’re insecure about how you look, work on your appearance. Your hygiene should be impeccable. Hit the apps. Be upfront about what you want. Be polite. Treat your partners with respect. Don’t get drunk out of your mind. Have fun. If you do, express your gratitude and appreciation. Get coffee. Smile to yourself as you remember the night.

OP’s SO doesn’t seem to be happy though. So if she were my girlfriend, I’d try to find out what’s wrong. Is she working too much? Unhappy with herself for some reason? Insecure about her looks, her abilities? Is she dealing with past trauma? Does the winter weather get to her? Is there anything wrong with her family/colleagues/circle of friends? Is she worried about the future? If the relationship turned out to be the problem, and it couldn’t be fixed, I’d end it and move on. If anything else wa…

Alright, I’ve got a big one and a small one. My husband was incredibly unhappy with his first job after university, so much so that it paralysed him. After he got fired, I forced him to go running with me so he’d get some fresh air and sunlight and made him remember everything he’d ever done well in his life.
