bro life is RNG, seduction is just one of the side quests

Absolutely. Prickly, defensive, argumentative ones aren't.

Oh no doubt that plays a large part. 5'6", 5'8", 5'10" are worlds apart when it comes to first impressions. It registers before they even evaluate your face or attire or whatever's coming out of your mouth. People seem to forget that with their boilerplate advice. Not that there aren't short kings who slay, I know one myself and he's old, short, and portly. But you bet your ass he's got a different approach than standard advice suggests.

I feel like that's the reaction you get when you don't start off with a casual interaction. Seems to be the best approach for me, given I don't exude the kind of charm or attractiveness to get instant reception from a more direct proposition, nor do I want to try any weird PUA techniques and whatnot.

Lol I don't think the goal of this sub is to overturn stereotypes and toxic narratives. The fact of the matter is that beauty standards worldwide are heavily eurocentric. Whether it's "actively attracted to" or "not actively turned off by", like it or not White and Generic is at the top of both lists. No point in denying that fact.

Agree with this take. Being vulnerable usually involves "putting yourself out there" in lieu of being really cagey and defensive. Getting way deep into your mental health early on is just oversharing and a red flag. I think for Pete, it's something people already know about, it's part of a complete loveable, sensitive, fucked up but fixable package that makes them go 🥺🥺🥺😫 Unless you're a successful celebrity with a dark history and covered in tats, yeah, I wouldn't go talking about your depressi…

You're putting the cart before the horse. Just go to your college gym and start doing whatever lifting weights. Don't expect results. Twice a week to start off. Mess around on the machines, you don't need perfect form on those. Literally set the lowest bar possible as long as you're going twice a week and pushing some weight. At first, you'll be beat. Soon, it'll start giving you more energy and mental clarity. You'll be really sore. Then you start seeing it as a sign of a good workout, and almo…

Is all this to assume you'd be taking shots with a timer + tripod? Because you never really make the whole, taking the picture thing clear.

Sounds like you've got a good grip on things. Don't mean to preach, just remember that everyone is in control until they suddenly realize they aren't. Stay vigilant for little rationalizations that can build up. I'm only going on and on about this because phenibut really does work like that, it creeps up on you. So many tough stories surrounding it, but people tend to let their guard down because it's quasi-legal and not so well known. Stay safe!

3 grams is pretty wild, man. I'll feel nice and groovy at around 1, past that it's sleepytimes. But I'm on the lighter side. Once a week max though. More than that indicates to me that a habit is forming.

Careful with that stuff, and GABAergic compounds in general. Dependence with that stuff can creep up out of nowhere, even if you've been regulating your use well up to that point. And withdrawal is a bitch and a half. Though I can attest that at the right dose, it does strike a great balance of relaxing without tiring.

I think the point a lot of people are missing here, is that being funny is just not that hard. I bet 80% of the jokes reddit comedians crack among their friends get laughs for no other reason than that leaving a joke hanging is awkward as fuck. Dropping the real-life equivalent of a reddit pun thread and getting the conversational equivalent of a "thanks for holding the door" does not make you the next Dave Chappelle. There's a reason a bad pun makes people groan. Hint hint, it's because having …

Everyone has personas. Don't beat yourself up because not every facet of your public and private identity is in perfect alignment, though you'll get closer to that ideal as you work on yourself and mature. You've got plenty of time. Build up self-esteem by achieving tangible accomplishments. Could be academic accomplishments, fitness goals, artistic projects, etc. Do it for you. The more bragging rights in your back pocket the less you'll feel the need to use them. Be the funny guy because you h…

You might call it needy if that’s the only reason you’re compromising on your career. But the main appeal of a freer lifestyle isn’t just having more time to pursue relationships, it’s the other fun and fulfilling stuff you’re doing with that time. That has inherent value to you as an individual, nothing needy about it.

Sounds good in theory. How would you address the 2/3 people who will try this and come across creepy as fuck. I think the misleading part is "women [[get]] attacted to". I'm pretty sure she has to already be kinda into you for the smoldering look to be more than a creepstare.

Replace dominance with authority, and authority = competence + confidence (crude analogy don't quote me). There's a lot you can do to improve your confidence by just internalizing the fact that you're a worthwhile person with real value, imperfect like everyone else but with tons of good, unique qualities. But past that, you need something to back it up. You need to find something you want and be disciplined at getting it, becoming so familiar with the feeling of sacrificing immediate pleasure a…

No, my hair is definitely thick af, haha. I guess there's just a disjoint in how long I'm willing to let it grow out. I'm satisfied with (and ultimately grateful for) my hair, now that I've settled on a look. I'm glad to get a reality check on the haircuts, though. Thank god I have a great shop nearby with a FANTASTIC $8 cut, where I go every 3-4 weeks. Not looking forward to moving away. All that aside, your post hit really close to home for me, thanks for some great takeaways.

Guy with asian hair here. I feel like my hair was always too thick to manage a pompadour or similar style. I tried growing the top out for a while but I could never get it to stay up (even when using a ton of product), and it'd end up off to the side in a normal part, giving me the 2016 Hitler Youth look and revealing that weird protrusion at the top of the fade. I've settled on a low fade with a medium short top, using glue for the top for anywhere from a traditional spike to a choppy sweep. I …

Bro you gotta live your life first. It's your first day at college!! You should be making friends (it'll never be easier than the first month of college), exploring clubs and your college's resources, asking for advice from upperclassmen, etc. Second note, if your primary goal is to pick up girls, it might work for a little bit. But it won't take long for girls to start parsing out the guys that are just desperate for pussy. Furthermore the people in your social circle will catch on and paint yo…
