Well, depending on my mood, I might have reacted the exact same way, but ideally he should have asked her to repeat it, asked what it supposed to mean, but more from an inquisitive attitude. Tell her how it's ignorant of her to express such views. His whole attitude of being like a petulant child did nothing productive. It only served the mob seeking vengeance porn.

Do you think it’s a compliment if they walk around telling people they’re weak? I would say vulnerability is the counter attribute to the mental strength that you're speaking instead of it being strength versus weakness. And the ability to be vulnerable is a trait that has value when the timing is right.

Just general advice here, don't bend over backwards for strangers or lost causes. If you care to help someone else out, make sure they're worth the effort. Not just for yourself necessarily, but for someone who has potential to actually do something productive with your help.

I'd say it's half way right with 2 and all the way with correct with 3. I would also add that while some relatively new concepts can be useful in framing a more complete perspective, too often out of academia things go too far and there is usually an existing simple explanation but intelligent people sink wasted brain power in any superfluous explanation because of faith in academia.

There's a line from As Good As It Gets where a ditzy blonde asks this well established writer, "How do you get women?" To which the famous writer replies, "I think of man and I take away reason and accountability." Let's focus on the second keyword there, accountability. If you are raised without accountability or raised to circumvent accountability, you will never grow as a person. You will never be self aware. Now, some women have accountability, but, in general many, if not all, components of…

Don't let your current outlook on your life turn into a self-fulfilling prophecy. As someone else had stated. The last five years of your life is 1/3 of your life so it seems bigger than it actually is. In my opinion you have to do two things. First, stop carrying your past with you. Easier said than done, but it's something that can be done. Second, it's time to grind. Read sidebar, lift, think about your professional future. The more you do the latter, the more the former will become irrelevan…

like i said before, you want the law to be dictated by a women's decree. A problem with saying “abortions, but only if you were raped” is that you’ll get a lot more false rape claims from people who just don’t want a baby, and that’s never good. they're called rape kits and can be an objective way to prove if someone has been raped. I also doubt that women would start lying about to get an abortion if they have to go to the ER to get a rape kit just to terminate a pregnancy. this would put the r…

You’re almost there, but personally, and most experts agree, it isn’t actually considered a baby until 24 weeks, and before that it’s just a few cells. fine, then it's not attempted murder. the guy shouldn't go to jail for 22 years. but I believe it’s ultimately the woman’s choice because she has to carry and conceive the baby. she chose to have sex, that's her choice, just like the guy. in the case where consent wasn't or couldn't be give I'd make an exception. in the case of a health concern, …

it's not just her body anymore, there is another person inside of her that she's responsible for. so it's either a life or it isn't. sounds like you want the law to be by a woman's decree. and also, that fetus will go on to become a healthy baby so killing it by either a drug or an abortion has the same consequence.

im not saying the guy doing it is okay, but it's not attempted murder; 22 years of jail. and just because she's making a decision, doesn't change the fact that she is killing a developing human, like he attempted to do.

One of the things I've learned from this thread is that women want to know the can have sex with someone, that validation, but are repulsed by men in which they perceive it as automatic and I think this is where the paranoia of the Asian fetish comes into play. If a man is only dating asians, then she sees him as an automatic lay and his smv plummets as she already has the validation that he is automatic.

Funny, I would have thought it be the opposite. The actor is taking the active role by "acting". Yeah, he's got to put himself out, but so what? The audience are the passive ones. They have to sit back and live variously through the movie's world which the actors help create.

I kind of agree with this. If you want to pass your seed, go to a sperm bank. If you want to pass along your wisdom to the young, become a big brother. If you have the wealth and want to start a family, have a lawyer set things up for you.

Even beyond the sets required to win, men play at a higher level meaning it requires more work to win a set and the men bring in more money as far as TV revenue. Although that could be debatable if there are two high profile females in the finals and they happen to be attractive.

It's a product of years of indoctrination. They've been inundated that what they are doing is okay because they are morally superior and are free to dehumanize those that stray from their morality. This is not unlike tribalis. Their morality is ultimately pretentious because it's not based on anything with substance nor is it logical. Of course it will continue because their style of thinking creates a circle-jerk because they get a "I feel good because I'm a good person and I believe in the goo…

The friend zone just means you wanted to be with a girl and developed an emotional attachment, but she doesn't want to escalate beyond anything platonic. That happens therefore it exists. Now when people have the conflict of wanting both, but only getting the latter, it's best to rip the band-aid off quick then slowly over time and suffering that emotional turmoil. But not everyone is this wise, especially younger people. They'll lie to themself or hold out hope and eventually reach a tipping po…

I disagree. A woman on some level had agency. She can choose to, after her first love leaves her, go one way and slut it up or the other way and the other way and put an extra emphasis on finding a solid partner with qualities for a ltr. A tiger has no agency. If someone opens a tiger cage and the tiger gets loose and harms people, that is solely on the person who opened the cage and their negligence.
