One of the problems with remembering names is that the entire time she's telling you her name you aren't concentrated on her actual name. Most people wind up with some "Shit I hope I don't forget her name, pay attention stupid" type of thinking in their heads and they miss the name entirely. Try to keep your head free and clear while talking to her. It's a little difficult while tipsy but if you focus a bit you should get it.
