All what rights and privileges? And you want feminists to support you when you don't support them, which you clearly don't if you think women hold all the privilege. That sounds like you believe in male supremacy so don't be surprised if you don't get backing from women, that's because of you not them. This is just another comment where the individual can't acknowledge that women haven't always had it easy over the years. I've said it in another comment, the sexes have different issues that caus…

I really never said it doesn't happen. I said I don't use it as statistics and that does not make me naive.

Well that's a bit of a pickle isn't it. What's your plan?

I'm not naive because I won't try to establish statistics based on opinion rather than evidence.

Personally I would hate it. I think it's great that some people make this work and their life is richer for it, but it would hurt to think I wasn't enough. I am not able to separate the physical and emotional aspects of sex. I might think like this because even after being married for 20 years I think our sex life is still varied and satisfying so it's easy for me to be happy knowing that I won't be sleeping with anyone else. I feel for people who love their partner but are not satisfied by them…

Ahh yes , the old "men" wrote it so "all men" can't complain about it" The law wasn't written by "men" it was written by a "man". You are either misrepresenting or misunderstanding me. I never said men couldn't complain, I said they couldn't blame women. You say women exploit the laws with shocking frequency. A statement like this isn't fact or evidence, it's opinion based on stories from men who feel they have been cheated in some way. I don't deny it happens, but shocking frequency might be st…

infact if you were to read the article you would know that the case of rape and abuse was thrown out of court I reread the article and it says he was arrested for rape and sexual assault and the woman is currently waiting to see if he will be charged. The case that was dealt with in court was the financial settlement. Maybe you should read the article?

Still not answering the questions, and still trying to distract. I mentioned access to kids, just because you didn't mention it doesn't mean the 2 are separate in any way. You said that I mentioned it. Are you now backtracking and saying you did, not me?
/r/MensRights15/11/22 04:40 PM

Do you think that men had to pay settlements because of traditional gender roles and women staying at home and not earning money in their own right? Men must have felt this was fair at some point because it generally wasn't women making these judgements. As you said, women are now earning more and a fair settlement nowadays might mean a woman paying out and this is only right, I don't define that as "the losing end". The comments on here that I was responding to are the "well men have suffered, …

If it says in the article he was proved innocent then I missed it. I don't know where I implied that he shouldn't be treated like he was guilty. What I said was that my opinion is in situations like these the allegations of rape (or other abuse) should be resolved before the financial settlements are reached as no one should have to pay off an abusive partner. I'm sorry you had to go through that and I hope you are okay, but at no point did I say accusations were evidence. I understand the damag…

You keep bringing up new points without backing up previous ones. I'll ask again, can you explain how "proven victim of abuse" equates to "any allegation of abuse"? And can you quote where I mentioned access to children? These are things that you have brought up but not provided evidence for. Once you've done this we can address your new issues. It appears that you are trying to distract attention from the fact that you are taking rubbish and putting words in my mouth that I didn't say.

The statistics for domestic violence victims are under reported, so all that is being said here regarding the numbers of men being shafted by abusive women is anecdotal. I don't deny that some women will marry men based on material wealth, but again this is anecdotal. Most feminists don't want to drag men down, and they are also pissed because equality isn't a thing yet. Just to be clear by equality I don't mean exactly the same, it's about the same outcomes. You are right about the sarcasm, it …

You didn't explain how what I said translated to "any accusation" so can you do this please? Can you also quote my comment where I mentioned access to children? For what it's worth, if someone is an abusive parent I think access to children should be monitored but we are discussing abusive partners not parents.
/r/MensRights15/11/22 03:21 PM

I didn't say he shouldn't go after it. I gave an opinion (which is what I thought we were all doing) that proven victims of abuse shouldn't have to pay off abusive partners in a divorce and said that I think (again my opinion) it would make sense to delay payment until the rape allegations are proved or disproved.
/r/MensRights15/11/22 02:57 PM

My exact words were "proven victim of abuse". If you can adequately explain to me how this translates to "any accusation of abuse" I will glady retract my comment. At no point did I mention rights around children. Since you have raised it I'll state that my opinion is these matters should be settled independently to financial matters and should focus on the best interests of the child(ren) and not the best interests of either parent.

Why shouldn't he what?
/r/MensRights15/11/22 02:43 PM

He should pay what money? You aren't making sense now. The article is about HER paying HIM money. My opinion was that the payment (just to reiterate from her to him) should be delayed until any outcome from the rape allegations are decided. Then if proved that he did so it he shouldn't get the money and if proved that he didn't he should. With any other reparation decided by a judge. If he has the assets that have been suggested the wait won't land him in poverty.

That's a leap! A proven abusive situation with a criminal conviction for either party isn't the equivalent of a no fault divorce. And for what it's worth, cheating alone isn't abuse. It's just a shitty thing to do.
/r/MensRights15/11/22 02:32 PM

Where does it say that? If he has so much what is the harm in waiting for the outcome of the allegations? He isn't going to starve is he?

I'm not sure if you know any feminists. There are different branches of feminism, the same as there are for any group and it doesn't seem like you are very well informed about all of them. Some feminists (in my opinion) do not seem to want equality and at the other end of the spectrum we have some men's rights activists that also don't (my interpretation of your comment is that you are one of these - unless you count everyone being equally miserable, but I could be wrong). Some from both sides s…

So most times men are forced to pay out money to abusive ex’s. What are the statistics on abusive wives and divorce settlements? I find it difficult to believe that MOST women getting divorced are abusive the same way I find it unlikely that MOST men are. But until the topic is about women you’ve pleasantly ignored this issue that’s been going on for decades to try to lecture us about why the courts are unfair to women. I don't know where you got the information that I think the courts are unfai…

Thank you. I never said he shouldn't be entitled to it if he was innocent so I'm not sure what was worth downvoting but Reddit can be a strange place.

How much do you think he will have in assets of his own if he is getting a settlement from his ex-wife in the divorce?

So instead of changing it to make it better for men instead we change it to make it worse for women. I understand now.

In most cases it should but no one should be penalised for escaping an abusive relationship. If a man spent years being abused by his wife should she be entitled to half of his money? Would that not feel like a final kick in the teeth?

He can't return it if he's spent it.

I fully support that someone is innocent until proven guilty but I doubt that he will pay the money back if he is convicted. I think a suitable solution would be to delay payment until after a trial. I don't think anyone who has been a proven victim of abuse should have to pay their ex-partner upon separation.

This feels like you are scraping the bottom of the barrel now. You must have realised your other points are laughable so you need to try to find something else to target. Even if I had posted the same thing twice, most people would acknowledge signal/wi-fi problems and glitches and not feel it was something to draw attention to. It is a pathetic way to try to divert attention from the fact that you have no valid response. However, it gave me a nice little chuckle so thanks!

Twice with the exact same thing? Because all I can see is that I commented saying I had not exactly said what you thought I did and another asking you to explain how you got to the conclusion that you did. They are two different things are they not?

Sorry I didn't realise i was interacting with someone who would need it explaining like a child? I didn't at any point say these murders didn't happen. If you can point out where I said that I will happily correct it.

You replied to a comment that said men are 5x likely to be murdered on streets with murders are men tho. Yes I did. It clearly means that if majority of murders were women, there is less reason to be scared. Clearly how? As I've pointed out already, that is not exactly what I said. If you are going to blow feminist dog whistle then you don't get act like you didn't do anything Not sure what you mean by this? In some places they are illegal. If abortions were illegal everywhere then even more men would be unwilling parents. At least if they are legal there is a chance that the woman will access one if the pregnancy is unwanted by the father. This is one of those things that might seem unfair but women get to have an out because it is their body and their choice what they put that body through; just like men have the choice what they do with their body when it comes to having (or not having) sex. Agai…

But most adults understand there is an element of risk involved when having sex. That's a gamble they choose to take. If a man (or woman) is so against having a child they can use protection or abstain from sex. Men know going into the situation that sex is what you do to make babies and that they will not be able to force an abortion if they impregnate a woman. Adults have to take responsibility for their actions, this is what separates the men from the boys.

What I responded to: "Scotland is shaping up to be a beacon of feminism in Europe, after passing legislation this summer which made period products absolutely free for everyone." "Note, nothing similar done for men when the issue should be about dignity at low cost for all: men experience continence issues too and might have issues affording those products designed to help with dignity." It definitely compares period products to incontinence products. Tell me how this is anything but men making …

That wasn't what the original comment said? It complained that men don't get free sanitary products for their incontinence, which is clearly ridiculous?

Isn't this the point? It's a joint responsibility to avoid pregnancy if you aren't ready to be a parent yet. Therefore, if a man does have unprotected sex he should be jointly financially liable for any children that result from it.
