Gotta work on your tone of voice or make a face when you joke to make it stand out from your normal words.

I got banned from /r/feminism for cross posting this and asking a serious question about how feminists feel when people associate them with stuff like this. I asked why I was banned and they muted me. Yikes. I thought ya'll were kidding about their mod team. Jokes on me.

How is that trolling? You don't like their opinion and therefore they are trolls? Makes sense.

Then again, if I were a woman, I probably wouldn't think that way. The post was made by a woman who thought that way. Its almost like women are all different and some actually care about love more than a ring and some are like that jeweler and are awful people.

Sad to see that a nice, uplifting article that shows a woman and man getting along and ignoring hatred inspires its own hatred in the comments.

As a woman who likes to pay my half of rent, dinner, anything I really appreciate fair pay. I don't expect to be kept. I want my money.

I think its the hypocrisy of radical anything. Its like looking at the world through a different colored lens, everything you see is slightly warped from reality. Its can be really hard to acknowledge your own prejudices. I'm sure this video gets linked here a lot, but just look at the transformation in views the woman who directed The RedPill went through.

What beautiful women have to loose. Plain women already live in that world.

I think having an 'us vs them' attitude strengthens divisions. If MRAs want to be taken seriously we have to stop with titles and phrases that put the opposite part on the defense immediately. How would you feel if you read a post titled "For everything MRAs say, the opposite is true"? You would immediately be ready to argue instead of sit down and have a conversation. Women are discouraged from pursuing science and education. No, women earn more higher degrees than men. There are many more scho…

Wow she advocated for someone stopping taking their birth control to purposely get pregnant and not tell their husband about it because he doesn't want another baby. Sounds like a wonderful and trusting marriage they have. Like your husband won't see this video clip. Men who see this, please, please, please don't think all women are like this. Holy shit.

Oh for sure. For the man it would be something like "That was just his cover to appear normal" where for a woman it would be like "noooo, shes just a confused lady. Look she has a family!"

I was wondering that myself. Edit: Its not looking good. Can't find anything in Australia, but in the US. [Arizona Is Requiring A Male Statutory Rape Victim To Pay Child Support] from 2014 And "A CRITIQUE OF THE STRICT LIABILITY STANDARD FOR DETERMINING CHILD SUPPORT IN CASES OF MALE VICTIMS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT AND STATUTORY RAPE" says Courts give no consideration to the circumstances leading up to or involved in that biological connection, and they do not require consent to the sexual relation.

eg. her "emotional immaturity". She couldn't be THAT emotionally immature if she also has a partner and children "Her actions had left the boy – who became a father at 15 – deeply traumatised and destroyed his childhood, the court heard, and also had a profound impact on the boy's family, as well as the woman's partner and her children."

Woman here. This makes me mad. Examples of the 'bad behaviors' Why is that bad?? Not everyone has cars?? Sorry he has healthy personal boundaries. Aren't you on tinder for that anyways? I see where they were going with this tho. If a guy was repeatedly very rapey I guess it would be nice to tag him but... those examples tho..

I think the point was more along the lines of "men are socialized to hide their feelings, therefore are less likely to seek mental help, therefore mass shooting." I don't agree, obviously, because half the population is men and half the population doesn't commit mass murder on the regular. But that's just how I interpret that thought. Edit: also the word 'toxic masculinity' was not used in that quote.

For a while. At my college you had to take some gen-ed classes so one art, one humanities, some science, etc. And yeah, you gotta pay for them.

I've actually not heard the life expectancy measure of discrimination before. I'll agree that its a bad point. I don't think I've ever be oppressed or discriminated against myself. Only maybe in subtle ways, like someone telling me to smile at my job or calling me sweetie condescendingly. I do consider those very minor offenses though, considering past limitations on women.

Not at all. I'm trying to come at it from the perspective of the crazy feminist I see on youtube.

I see your point. My point was only to point out a flaw that could be addressed to make the argument even stronger. I didn't read (couldn't find) the study, so I didn't look at what level jobs they were applying for. If the jobs they were applying for were very entry level, minimum wage jobs I would expect absolutely no difference in selection between male/female/races with the blind applicants. The point I wanted to explore was that if the jobs being applied for were upper level, where lots of …

You didn't read the article. It was fake and she did it for attention to bring attention to MALE CIRCUMCISION. She decided to not circumcise her son. The mother of six became an activist against body alterations in children when she was pregnant for the first time. Her doctor asked whether she wanted to circumcise her baby or not. “I went home and did research,” she says, “never before have I even thought about this; I grew up in a household with only women.” Her first pregnancy turned out to be…

Devils Advocate here. You could go deeper and say that those women and minorities have been disadvantaged from the start and therefore don't have an awesome a resume as those cis white men.

I think she means he "got what he deserved" in the sense that he went to North Korea and tried to steal from them. North Korea that brainwashes its people. North Korea that threatens defectors with the deaths of their families. Because no one actually deserves to die (or be jailed with hard labor) for stealing a poster. Nobody. And I think she's trying to make the point of "look, this kid stole from a scary ass country and he paid the price. A country that REGULARLY jails and kills its people. A…
