Oh yeah not a dig at you. Or your reporting if the trend. It’s just that the expression ‘Side profile’ is used so often and the ‘side’ part is completely redundant.

Can we stop saying “side profile”? What other kind of profile is there?

I did my entire law degree on coffee and cigarettes, hoping to lose enough weight to get asked on a date. Never did get asked out once in those three years. And when I graduated with said law degree and another degree in the early 90s, when I ran into people who knew me from highschool no one mentioned the academic achievement but the 20 lb weight loss was celebrated.

My Husband has only called me by my first name once in 20 years of marriage. He had a pet name for me which I was Fine with for a long time but recently I have been increasingly irked by his apparent inability to address me by my name and also to compliment me or say I look beautiful etc. We are now hashing these issues out in marriage counselling…

Obstetric injuries and tears can cause long term problems. I have noted the recent increase in mainstream availability of things like Incontinence garments in supermarkets- normalised in a way it never was before. People are even talking about ano recital birth trauma now whereas that was taboo for so long. People need to be aware that with the later it can be seriously hard to fix. I had that issue and thank his it’s mostly fixed but no one ever ever raised with me or mentioned it me- even when…

I will not hire a cleaner. I do the work myself. We have a three bedroom apartment which is not hard to manage. But my husband prefers that I do the cleaning when he is out at the swimming pool as it disturbs him... This is not acceptable and I should leave. Shouldn't l.

Yeah my grandmother was also a doctor. They were both quite matter of fact homemakers. Kind of just got on with it but grandma got to shine in WWII when all the men were at war. I'm a lawyer. Noone ever told me not to do it because it's a man's job but it certainly feels like it a lot of the time.

As a lawyer working full time it always irked me when I talked to other mothers on the rare occasions I was at the school gates. "What do you do?" "Oh, I help my husband out with his business!' So many of them. It can't have worked out well for all of them.

This so so much. Men have given me a lot but most of it not worth having. Pain in spades. So I take great pleasure and joy on the day to day. Animals, beauty in nature, art .. whatever it might be. And I feel spoiled. I also never deny myself any reasonable item I can buy with the money I earned I also note that OP is quite a bit younger than us (I'm 51) and time will resolve this issue for her I feel.

I'm sorry. If it helps me too. I watched it happen to other women but never got spoiled myself. Even dropped hints which went ignored Only thing to do was become a lawyer and earn good money and frigging well start making up for lost time and spoiling myself.

This happened to my daughter. Dear, dear male friend, they bonded intellectually, talked endlessly, he had a girlfriend, so it was not a front running issue. And then he broke. Up with her and one night in their final year of school, hit up my daughter who was confused, but went with it. And then one month later, the entire thing was over - friendship, romance, the lot, because he was 'confused' and just 'wanted to have fun after all'. She was devastated. I hate him.

Aw thanks. They were seventeen at the time and were "talking" and he went overboard with the "you're so amazing I'll come over every day and help you when you have your surgery after we go to school formal together" but shortly after that he dipped and she never heard from him again although he then started seeing another girl from their group and took HER to prom. Anyway she's stoic but just wondered as we all do here on FDS why he had to say anything at all if it was just lies. And starting so…

Ugh I hate long hair for myself. My daughter has gorgeous curly hair from an African forebear and it looks amazing short and is impossible to manage long but she stood out among the scores of Ari lookalikes at school and was written off as a lesbian. In my young 20s a man I was seeing for a year or so met another woman, dropped me, married her six months later. Her father died and he dropped her at the airport to go to his funeral and then dropped by my place on the way home to 'talk' which turned into a bid for some of that kinky sex i was so obliging about and which wifey wouldn't do. I have carried a burden of confusion and anger about this and FDS has been useful..I have ensured my daughter is following FDS (she's 18) so she might recogn…

For men or most them rape is a violent act in a back alley or deserted park, maybe at knifepoint, happening to someone else's mother or daughter or sister. Looking back I have been raped countless times in relationships, either by endless coercion (relenting to anal sex for example after endless badgering and then saying ok no stop this is bad when he started and he didn't stop) or waking up from sleep in the middle of the night because someone was having sex with me). But they would never agree…

Ok well if you've established she wants to go, then a plan needs to be hatched. Does she live with him? Same town? Can she get him restrained from contacting her - you can be the witness. How long have they been together. Has she had crap relationships s before. Sometimes you get into thinking anything is better than nothing. I hope she can leave this guy, he sounds hellish.

Yes I was in this situation and you can't 'just leave' guys like this. Military precision us often required. It's not your job to bring it about and I bet your friend is saying it's fine. I guess don't be too hasty to dump. I got out of my relationship and my friend and I were friends for a while longer then she faded. I did talk to her and she said that that relationship had made her view me differently. I found a great new guy and life is good. I do miss my friend a lot.

I was dumped by a LVM on my actual 30th birthday...I picked myself back up in time and one of the things I started to do was boxing at this shabby old gym where a lot of young guys trained. A lot of them flirted in fun and seriously. I wasn't there for that but after a while I decided that one guy ( who wooed me by quoting entire Poe poems and was studying ancient Greek) would get a go. We had several great dates and great fun in bed and went our separate ways because he was at a different stage…

I can look back at a relationship I had when I was 23 . The guy was 42. He did every last one of these things. He had been divorced that year and when he met me and claimed I was the most amazing woman he had ever met, he was only a month out of a relationship with another woman in England who was also now pregnant (which he knew). Even as a naïve slightly pick me type, I was highly sceptical but I didn't know enough to get out then. Looking back I can laugh as I place this template over his beh…

Sorry again. There is apparently no debasement that is sufficient to satisfy the carnal needs of some men. This guy was the worst I have ever met to illustrate this and he was a successful barrister in a position of power and authority over many women whom he abused. He had nine kids to three women (in one case simultaneously with each woman unaware of the other). I was too young to understand what I was getting involved in...

I'm sorry! What bit. I know nothing about the stats for damage and repair in homosexual men who do it or porn actors. I am not aware of whether the apocryphal use of muscle relaxants actually helps. I just know it's a tricky place to need muscles repaired.

If your partner does this to you and has a smaller size penis you should be ok without long term damage if he is careful..never ever let a guy put a dildo up there and never have two penises in there at once("...but they do it in Butman Goes to Rio!!!...") If your man is large and wants it, say no. You might be prepared to suffer this damage for a child but never ever for some porn-entitled scrote.

Woman I work with has been titrating down off Effexor for over a year from 225. She gets to 37.5 then to 12 mg but can't go any further and has to go back up to 37.5 to stop her side effects. She's a very intelligent woman whose views I respect. She said "effexor helped me like no other drug but if I had the chance again I wouldn't have gone on it". I think that sums it up nicely - I know it can be effective but the price just seems too high.
