No, it was an appeal to authority. Your bf is not even anecdotal evidence. Many young people maintain low bf without ever gainong and losing weight. If you have never gained and lost then you have no personal experience in the matter. I have anecdotal experience in gaining and losing weight but I'm not going to cite that as evidence becaise anecdotal is so weak. I stead I'll cite scientific studies ehich is not an appeal to authority but a demonstration of scientific evidence. If it were an appe…

I posted this on OYS because I am owning my shit. I'm not asking you to own my shit. I disagree and I provided a scientific study to back up my argument. I don't care about your personal bf%. That is an appeal to authority and does not count as evidence. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3337037 Lifting with calorie restriction will hinder muscle gain but will prevent muscle loss. Having muscle does increase BMR but whether or not its easier or not to lose the fat is going to be a very subject…

Looks like lifting with calorie restriction does increase lean mass but at half the rate as lifting without calorie restriction. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3337037

More muscle does increase your BMR but i disagree with your conclusion. Having more muscle doesn't make it easier to lose fat. Being in a calorie deficit is the only way to lose weight and its equally hard with more muscle. And perhaps harder since lifting requires a calories surplus. If you lift with a calorie deficit you're not going to be able to recover.

Going to start posting in OWS and get serious. I don't expect you to care. I am my own judge. I am happy with my lifts. I am not happy with my weight. My goal is to lose 30 lbs this winter.
