Is he a HVM?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/09/20 06:52 AM

I understand and for the most part I agree with everything you've said, I don't think women engaging in sex work makes them bad people. However regardless of the reasons it is low value and in the context of leveling up or a relationship with a HVM, a HVM would not want a relationship with a sex worker. And to be real the majority of women doing only fans are doing so out of privilege, because it's currently on trend and promoted by libfem and pickme culture as an empowering and liberating thing…

Yes it's very low value behaviour of both the man and the woman with the OF. It's an unpopular truth that libfems love to deny, but no high quality person would associate themselves with such a thing.

I recently turned 30 and it's been the best age of my life, I've never felt sexier or more confident and I've never had so many men chasing me and trying to lock me down. The wall is something I've only ever read about on here, it does not reflect the reality of being a 30+ woman. I will say that men my age are fewer as the majority of the men I attract are early to late 20s and mid to late 30s but I'm not complaining, most men 40 plus I've encountered very much appreciate me but put me in the "…

I’m the same height as you, my solution is to only be with men over 6ft tall. In my experience men shorter than that often suffer from Napoleon complexes.

I’m wondering the same because I’ve had a few guys compliment my brows now and thought it was odd 😂

You’re not being crazy, he is stringing you along. When a man is truly interested in you, you will never doubt it, he will make it clear with his actions which includes making time for you. It’s 2020, we’re all busy, but we make time for the things we care about.

I would never answer such questions, at least not until later in dating or getting to know them. There’s too many narcissistic, manipulative and low value men that use this kind of information as a way in and to use you. I would be very vague in my answers until they had demonstrated a lot of the qualities I’m looking for and given value. Actions speak.

Men are actually clueless and generally cannot tell if a girl is wearing makeup or not and what’s natural or not, they think these women are “natural” beauties and are completely oblivious to what actually goes into creating their looks. I get my brows and nails done, lash extensions, wear makeup and sometimes a spray tan and men are none the wiser, they don’t know that it’s not “natural” lol
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/08/20 08:30 AM

It’s a tough one, the obvious thing would seem to disclose it immediately but there are a lot LVM men who specifically target single mothers to exploit, as well as pedophiles out there. I have 3 kids, I generally mention I’m a mum off the bat but keep the rest of the details very vague and see any early interest in my children as a red flag

He just tells me straight up “I’m going through______ at the moment so if I’m not as responsive or attentive as usual that’s why and I don’t want you to think it’s about you”

I generally just assert that these are my own morals and standards and that I don’t have to approve of something just to validate somebody else. If they’re honestly okay with what they’re doing then they shouldn’t be concerned by what I think, the truth is they know it’s low value and that’s why they get so triggered and try to shame and belittle anyone who doesn’t support it, ironic hey.

I have 3 kids and I don’t really relate to any of these things, yes there was sleeplessness and hard times, postpartum changes can be hard to adjust to etc, but in mum culture a lot of it is over exaggerated as a form of dark humour. Having a useless partner would definitely exacerbate it all too!

In Australia ‘mad c_nt” is a common term of endearment. As an Australian woman I don’t mind being called that by some people in the right context, to me this is not the right context. This kind of colloquialism/ slang is generally used in extremely casual situations and often by people of lower intelligence or socioeconomic status, it’s certainly not a great opener for a person you would like to impress.

Hormonal birth control is terribly destructive to our bodies, the idea that we need to suppress and destroy our fertility to be always sexually available to men without consequence to them is gross and not very feminist at all.

I beat them to it! I love cooking and I’m an excellent cook but I keep it low key and you’d be surprised how often men try to woo me with their culinary skills. I’m also pretty domestic, I take pride in my home and genuinely enjoy keeping it clean and tidy, but I keep this on the down low too. It really works lol

For me it’s an orange flag. Some people have genuinely toxic, abusive and neglectful parents, I did, and in that case cutting them off is self care. In absence of those things and if their differences and disagreements seem trivial then it’s a massive red flag.

Why does everyone say she’s rude and disrespectful? Maybe she just has boundaries and doesn’t feel the need to pander to everyone or impress anyone? Just because she’s not a ‘nice girl’, it doesn’t make her low value. Have you read the book “why men love bitches”? Maybe she’s a ‘bitch’ 🤷‍♀️

It’s scary in the beginning, being with a narc is like being on drugs, the highs, the lows, the withdrawals and loving them even though they’re terrible for you. A healthy relationship is like sobriety in comparison, it’s hard to adjust to.

My ex love bombed me hard, long story short I ended up getting engaged and pregnant to him really quickly because I believed it was true love and that he was the one, he turned out to be an alcoholic narcissist. I’m currently getting to know another man romantically and sometimes the lack of grandiose gestures, pedestaling, constant words of affirmation, constant contact, talking about the future etc, has me feeling like he’s not that into me. It’s silly because I know he adores me, he tells me …

I have a very self deprecating sense of humour, a guy I’m getting to know hates it, he’s always calling me out for putting myself down.

When you’re used to narcissistic abuse a healthy relationship feels wrong. I’m in a very similar position except I had kids to my narc. Our relationship has been over for months now and I know I’m not ready but there is a guy I like, and he’s so normal, patient, kind and caring that it feels completely alien to me. I keep waiting for a red flag, a bad mood, a put down, jealously etc, basically any sign that he’s not good, yet there are none. I know I’m not ready to enter into anything with this …

I believe strongly that people change, I’m currently watching a good friend transition from LVM to someone with huge HVM potential. BUT in saying that, you should never ever date a guy for his potential, it’s way too high risk.

I don’t do online dating but I can confirm that men treat you significantly better when you look good. If I go out in casual lounge type clothes, no makeup etc it’s like I’m invisible. When I put the effort in and choose nice clothes, do my hair makeup and all that, I get lots of positive attention from men, just small things like saying hello, opening doors for me, helping me with things. The difference is like night and day.

When I was younger it was something I was concerned with but now I’m 30 it’s a total non issue. I’ll shave sometimes and sometimes just let it all grow, I haven’t touched my pubic hair in years except for a slight trim, I’ve never been shamed nor encountered a man who has a problem with it.

Pedophile part aside, If he’s against the death penalty in general for anyone then that’s a perfectly reasonable stance imo, even though I don’t personally agree with it, some people are just anti capital punishment. Absolutely do not play therapist to some LVM who didn’t want kids but still went and got his girlfriend pregnant. He needs to put his big boy panties on and work through this with his poor pregnant partner, you know the one who’s body and life this will affect the most. What a self absorbed prick.

You have to maintain some mystery. The problem when couples become official is that they can quickly fall into a rut and habit of putting too much time and effort into the relationship. Basically don’t live in each other’s pockets, maintain your own separate lives, hobbies and interests and never allow your man to become complacent, even when you official he still needs to work for your affection and attention and prove himself worthy of it.

Vulnerability is a strength, the problem comes from what people think vulnerability means vs what it really is. Being vulnerable is not being emotional or sharing all your darkest secrets and fears, it’s not about trusting anyone or talking about your feelings, or giving people power over you. Vulnerability is being true to yourself, being honest, being able to speak your mind and heart without fear of what people will think of it, it’s knowing not everyone is going to approve and you don’t even…

I cooked every night, delicious meals from scratch for my nvm ex and he never appreciated it or me. It’s a great book, it helped me a lot too. Never ever sacrifice any of yourself or what you enjoy for a man, always have your own life and priorities. The only kind of men who would be flattered by any of that behaviour would be very low value.

I’ve changed and grown so much, it’s like I’m not even the same person. I enjoy my space and home unapologetically without having to consider somebody else’s moods and needs (except my kids). I learned that I really really enjoy my own company.

It’s really hard to fathom because we’re so used to LVM, but a HVM would not give you the silent treatment, that’s really manipulative and childish behaviour. A HVM if he was serious about you would be honest and open about how he’s feeling and want to talk about it and work through it, he wouldn’t push you away or attempt to punish you by pulling back.

I’m not religious and I know religion can bring a host of other issues so there’s that, but religion in essence gives people someone higher than themselves to answer and be accountable to. There’s no such thing as truly platonic male and female friendships, 9 times out of 10 this is how your male friends will see you. There’s actually been multiple studies on this topic and the vast majority of men said they often think about their female friends sexually.

Occasionally taking hours is normal but if it’s consistently then that’s a red flag. The guy I’m currently getting to know will sometimes take time to get back to me but he always gives an apology and explanation of why he didn’t respond sooner, and sometimes I take time to get back to him because I’m busy with my stuff. Once a man feels like he’s got you on the hook, he will put in less effort because he thinks he doesn’t need to try win you over anymore, he’s already got you. Telling him how you feel as far as wanting to hear from him more and that if you don’t you think he hates you and doesn’t want you, just reinforces that to him. I wouldn’t think you were low value at all, you sound like a high value woman to me, just with low self esteem. At the end of the day being high value isn’t really defined by finances or the affordability of your housing or whether you have kids or not, it’s about the person that you are, your ambition, values, morals etc

A simple way of looking at it I find is a LVM adds nothing of value to your life, a NVM actually subtracts value, aka drags you down.

I work in that industry myself, we really don’t care if you can’t finish your meal because a date went south. You’re welcome to your own opinions but I would just be careful giving out non FDS advice in FDS, there are plenty of other dating forums that don’t have a strong stance on drink dates, we are against them.

Drink dates go against FDS guidelines and I disagree that somebody can be quickly vetted, of course they’re going to say all the right things on the first, second and even third etc dates, the vetting process is never ending.

I read so much about this kind of behaviour on here and I’m lucky I haven’t really experienced anything like this. I’m not sure if it’s because of my age (30+) or because I’ve only been intimate with few men, all who were long term boyfriends. I just can’t believe how common it is, it makes me scared to put myself out there and meet new men/ date.

I have that intense chemistry and connection now with somebody, and before this I didn’t think it really existed either. I’m not sure how sustainable it is though I predict it will probably eventually calm down?

Not into into it at all. I don’t mind a bit flirtatious and provocative banter via text but apart from that it’s a big nope

I would say the degrading part is doing it while he’s watching porn, not the blowjob in itself.

He’s most likely a LVM, playing games or he’s just not that into you, even if it’s because he finds you intimidating because multiple things can be true at once. You’ve skipped a bullet, don’t overthink it.

I think the “free meal” choice of words was purposely inflammatory and well played lol. It’s absolutely hilarious that they think expecting a man to pay for a meal is insanity, the bar is on the floor.

There are FDS women who enjoy video games and wouldn’t mind being with a man who games, as long as he’s not addicted and is still ambitious and productive, or if it’s just something he does to unwind from time to time.

To be completely blunt, I stopped reading somewhere in the 20s because this whole thing reads as you were trying to explain and justify all the areas in which he falls short.

It all comes down to two extremes of consent, obviously consent is important but one side says you should never consent and the other side says that all that matters is consent, and both are wrong. This libfem idea that anything goes as long as you consent is disingenuous and dangerous for women. Consent is the absolute bare minimum requirement for any type sexual contact, there needs to be way more than just consent.

Libfems are kidding themselves by thinking they can rebrand and repackage porn in an effort it more “female friendly”, porn is porn is porn.

I think you may have misread or misunderstood these two points, FDS does not encourage women to rely on men financially, actually the complete opposite, you MUST remain financially independent, however it is not wise to pay for or even go 50/50 on dates. This is about weeding out LVM, men who will use you, lead you on and take advantage of you, which is much easier for them to do if you’re a cheap date. Having a man pay for your dinner and drinks is hardly being taken care of financially, it’s a…

I feel like I can weigh in here. I’ve been in both positions, being a late bloomer/ ugly duckling as well as gaining a lot of weight and losing myself in my pregnancies, basically I’ve been both very stereotypically attractive and very unattractive at various points in life. What I noticed is that yes, men treated me very differently while I was physically attractive vs unattractive but, not all of them. I would say it was the low value men who did. It’s cliche but I believe a high value man wil…

I love her version and I completely agree with her about the hypocrisy. This is essentially just another cases of a man shutting a woman down and silencing her because it doesn’t suit the narrative. I liked the original video but not so much now I know who actually controls it.

I don’t mind doing it as long as he does it too and even better is when we do it together. My ex and I used to cook together most nights and clean the house together, he was a LVM in almost every way but he was great with sharing domestic duties.

My advice would be to hold off honestly, I probably would have got sterilised at 22 too if it was possible but obviously I’m glad I didn’t. It’s not even about the “what if you change your mind”, it’s a major surgery and a lot of women I know who’ve had it done have had some pretty gnarly complications and lasting side effects from it. In saying that I also know a lot of women had no problems and say it’s the best thing they’ve ever done, but you do need to consider that it could go either way f…

I want to say a few things. Firstly I love this sub! I always considered myself to be rather anti feminist (I know, I know) but hear me out. I had only ever been exposed to liberal feminism before discovering this sub and the GC sub, and me being anti porn, anti kink, anti casual sex, anti hookup culture ect, I decided that a movement that calls all that stuff “empowering” and good for women, was not for me. I had heard of radical feminism but I thought it just meant a more extreme version of th…

I don’t think marriage makes much difference in this day and age where half of all marriages end in divorce, I think the FDS vetting process is as good as it gets but nothing is foolproof. Take it from me, I had 3 kids to a deadbeat lvm and as much as I love my kids more than anything, I wish I knew all this stuff before I had them.

This! I’m not really conservative but I am right leaning and I find FDS perfectly aligns with my goals and values, it’s actually one of the things I love about it, it’s relevant to all women from all walks of life.

I’ve always been super weary of men who claim to be very progressive or feminist, even more so than I am of men who are self proclaimed anti feminist or right wing, because at least they show their cards. I’ve seen too frequently men hide behind feminism to push their own wants and agendas.

It depends what you mean by everything but. Kissing and making out is fine, anything beyond that I would be weary, sex doesn’t have to be penetrative, for example oral sex is sex. I would take it to mean no sexual gratification of any sort.

Nothing at all, I’d say you’re the normal one and everyone else has been corrupted by society. I’m exactly the same as you, I can only have sex with someone if there is a strong emotional connection.

Thank you. I know that’s what I need to hear, I’ve never believed in platonic friendships between men and women and then this fucker came along. I’m going to try distance myself.

I have a massive crush on a good male friend of mine, it’s painful. It’s purely platonic on his behalf, he’s never said anything even remotely inappropriate or sexualised me, he’s great to talk to, great listener, very intelligent, kind, funny, successful, moral... I could go on. I’ve thought about just cutting him off to spare myself the torture but on the other hand I really value our friendship and hate that I’ve potentially ruined it by developing feelings. Hellllp me 😩

I think a lot of women say they don’t care or don’t celebrate it because 1. They’re so used to being let down or 2. They’re setting their expectations really low so that they can’t be let down. That’s not to say there aren’t women who genuinely don’t care for it, I know some don’t, but I think secretly most would not object to someone going out of their way and making an effort to spoil or appreciate them.

Why would you even want someone to see you like that? let alone just to conform to what is you think it is they want in a woman.. I’m sorry I really don’t mean to be harsh, but it sounds really unhealthy, you deserve better than that. Do you and if you is not what he wants, then move on.

Statistically men and women cheat at comparable rates, it’s the reasons they cheat that differ. You’re right that men are more more opportunistic, all the more reason to seek out a HVM and not settle for less.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/02/20 04:41 PM

Is this the forum for it though? For the women who want that kind of thing, there’s literally dozens of subs that will cheer them on and be all “go get that d girlll”, this is one of the only ones that tell women they deserve better and shouldn’t settle for that. It’s not shaming, if they feel shame about it then maybe they really need to take the advice here.

I don’t think catching feelings is the main concern people have about fwb, a concern but hardly the most detrimental one. I feel like fwb is always going to be a connection, however casual, to a lvm and that’s exactly what FDS aims to avoid.
