When he told her months ago, he knew at that time they would have a baby, so it's very selfish to still want to go. She would've also known the baby would be there. If she had spoken up then about it but he adamantly refused to not go, then I might agree with you but it sounds like she agreed this was fine but now that push has come to shove she realizes he's getting a break and she isn't so she wants things to change. I've had 2 babies all while my husband had to travel for work (5 days away, 2…

Having a kid has been the most fulfilling and rewarding thing I have ever done. Seeing his little smiling face in the morning makes life worth living. It's not easy though. I miss sleeping in and being able to shop for groceries without worrying about if I can get in and out of the store before nap time. I miss the freedom of coming and going as I please, of staying up as late as I want to drink beer and play video games and being able to clean the house without getting interrupted every 10 minu…

Whatever you two have going on is clearly toxic and causing more harm than good. Go strict no contact and move on. If you think she's serious about harming herself then tell her friend/parent/or police and they can deal with her.

Cool. Good for you. Unfortunately graduating with honors really doesn't count for much when it comes to needing experience. I hope your degree helps you more in the future.

1 year experience is 1 year experience. Yeah, sure, still apply but you can't get upset if they don't call you when you're not meeting the minimum requitements. The fact that you keep arguing these points just says to me that you have an inflated sense of self when it comes to your employment. It sucks but you have to start at the bottom. No one is going to pay you what you aren't worth. I wish you luck, really i do, but you need to lower your expectations.

They may not need a person right away so they have the time to wait for a better fit, could also be old postings that they haven't bothered to take down. Or they might have a high turnover for that job and are stockpiling resumes. Just because the posting has been up for a long time doesn't mean they're desperate to fill the position. If you're banking on a companies' desperation then youre going to be waiting a long time. If you've been out of a job for 2 months already, it sounds like you're g…

I think it's great to have what you want figured out but more as an outline rather than an itinerary. It's better to be upfront early with the people you date that you're not looking for casual partners and your end goal is marriage and a family. When you do get married you'll have a partner with needs and wishes and you'll have to adjust your plans to accomodate his. This is when you'll need to be flexible but also clear on your needs. Don't ever underestimate good communication. As far as plan…

We started dating when we were 15. We had been together about a year when he told me one night "if we were older I'd ask you to marry me." And I said "I'd say yes if you did". From then on i think we both saw each other as serious long-term partners. We got so comfortable with each other that we didn't really feel like marriage was necessary. We knew that neither of us were going anywhere so it just wasn't an urgent thing that needed to be done. Then we started seriously discussing having childr…

SMV and attractiveness are really the same thing. If I have a high value husband, it doesn't do to be low value for too long as I don't want him becoming unhappy. It's in that context that i care about smv not that I'm interested in what my "value" is in the dating world. Luckily I've had great care during this pregnancy - ive had plenty of bloodwork and am on a super low dose of synthroid. Judging by the responses I've recieved I'm on the right track.

I didn't mean for my post to make it sound like I'm obsessed with my body. Quite the contrary. First and foremost I am focused on getting all of us through the newborn stage (and of course beyond) in the healthiest and happiest way possible. But as I said to anouther commenter, I am a planner and like to consider all things related to pregnancy. Looking good for my husband is just one thing on a long list of things that are important to me so I was curious how much attraction/smv one can realist…

I've been trying to keep my weight under control. I'm up 18lbs at 30 weeks and I'm happy with that but i was in the process of losing weight when i got pregnant so there's definitely room for me to lose more than just the baby weight. I'm hoping that would help offset the stretchmarks and just being older 🤷‍♀️ lol.

Unfortunately sex has been pretty much off the table since we found out I'm pregnant 😭. My husband says he really wants to but he's scared of hurting me or the baby and there's no convincing him otherwise. I do think he's being honest about that, he was afraid to touch my belly for awhile because of his fear of hurting me (us). Oh I totally agree, the first few months are all about survival - for all of us. I can worry about bikinis and stuff later but I'm a planner and want to have some sort of…

Dude, leave. Seriously. 5 years is a drop in the bucket compared to a lifetime of misery (or alimony/child support payments). This has huge red flags all over it. If you have any respect for yourself, get out before you end up raising someone else's kid.

As a pregnant woman, no, I don't think this is typical woman behaviour. I don't understand why she wouldn't want to take the test. There's a ton of things she should be doing/not doing in the early days of pregnancy for the health of the baby and her. It doesn't sound like she respects you if she won't even share vital information with you. I highly recommend not marrying her. What else is she hiding from you? Is she not taking the test because she's been unfaithful? She might be delaying tellin…

The type of work you do says a lot about your personality so to some it can be an important detail. But if not saying anything is working for you then great. Personally I wouldn't be able to trust a date that wasn't willing to share basic nformation about their life.

Well the way I look at it, you spend 40hrs a week doing something it's kinda nice to know what that is. If I were dating someone who avoided telling me what they do for most of their week, I might start to find them suspicious. I mean even something vague like "I work in sales" or "I'm in a trade" etc. is good enough. I don't think you should answer at all if your date were asking you what your take home is.

Maybe other women would find that interesting but I'd be super bored and turned off if a guy I was dating thought it was really important that he has followers on social media. Then again I really dislike Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. and I find no meaning in using them. To me it says that you seek validation through social media and it would make me wonder how genuine you are. That's just my perspective though.

Actually, I’ve been meaning to post an update. Literally the day after I posted this, he got a call and was offered a managers position so he’s back to work! He started today. I don’t think I’ll be holding off on the sex tonight lol. I just realized I misspoke about the timing. The call happened the day after we sat down and had a long talk. Talk happened a day or two after I posted.

In the last 7 years he has had zero employment for 2.5 years. 1.5 of that he was in university. He has a job now just few hours. I have always had a higher income than him except for 8 months last year when his company was doing well. Correct me if I’m wrong but the ASVAB is for the states? We are in Canada and the wait times are ridiculously longer than the states to join.

I’m wondering if we were just comfortable together since we’ve been together so long. I’ve seen him do great things and I know he’s capable. Ah, I live out in the boonies in Canada. In my particular area it’s hard to get a job just pumping gas and the pick of men can be rather slim. Maybe I did make a wrong turn somewhere but I married him and I’m not willing to just toss a marriage out because I can.

I am committed to making it work. He has shown amazing potential so I know it's there somewhere. He is either a late bloomer or needs a push but I don't think all hope is lost, yet. She should do whatever is in her power to make him feel like he can be the man of the house and the provider. This is a problem. I realize from other comments that I could change a lot of my behaviour so I will start with that. He doesn't feel fulfilled as my housewife lol and I know that he is really struggling with this so I don't want to make things harder for him but I do need to have a firm talk with him. Can you see yourself having a child with this man? Absolutely yes. He would make an amazing father but only if he can find steady work. Has he shown work potential? Is he motivated? When he works he does a fantastic job. He is very thorough and diligent. If neighbors need a hand, he jumps to help them. I responded similarly to another comment but I never really thought of him losing his masculinity doing what he does at home. If he doesn't do the cooking, cleaning, fetching, I tend to think that things are really unfair because I have to fill both roles then. How can I encourage him to remain masculine while still helping around the house? Is it possible or do I just have to suck it up? I am going to have a "come to jesus" talk with him tomorrow. I think you may be right. I've taken some time after reading these comments to reflect and I realize I have some pretty unhealthy thoughts in regards to our roles. Even though we want each others roles, I feel like he owes me and should be doing the duties that, in reality, I should still be doing regardless of my employment status. Some people argue that feminism is the reason. Sure there are women out there that just can’t picture themselves as mothers and imo that’s totally fine. But the feminist argument is that women don’t need men and that it’s better to pursue careers than to raise children. I would love nothing more than to be a stay-at-home mom but with the rise of feminism, there has been a rise in resentment towards the housewife. I think these people suffer from gender dysmorphia and society should treat it as an illness. We aren’t going to take an anorexic with body dysmorphia and tell them they are, indeed, fat. You are either a man or a woman and just changing the person’s genitals doesn’t change their chromosomes.

That's awesome! I've heard that about dairy and skin so I'm going to work on cutting it out. I don't think I could do without meat completely but I can certainly go with less of it. I've figured out a pretty generous "reward" system for myself. Every 5lbs I lose I'm going to stick $50 into savings for when I hit my goal weight. From a biological perspective, it's not odd at all when you consider that a woman's prime mating age is her 20's and by our 40's our eggs are pretty much dried up. So it makes sense that men would be less interested in us because there technically isn't a point to it once we are that old.

A little insight from a woman who has been guilty of this. I believe there are two main reasons why we do this. We look for validation among our friends when we lack self-confidence and/or it is a way to be more social with other females. In my experience with other women, women are fucking boring. So any new dress or piercing we get is an opportunity to engage other females and say "Hey look what I did. Aren't I soooo cooool. Don't you like me more now?
