Now, don’t get me wrong, I fully support everyone in this sub. That being said, there are circumstances in which it is healthier for a mother to take their child and leave the father. Shit, I wish my mom would have done that when I was a kid. However, judging by her attitude this probably isn’t the case, so you’re probably right. Exactly. Set a low standard so that it seems amazing when you do average work. If you set a high standard for yourself, you’ll be expected to meet that high standard at all times.

You have the ability to get a better job. Everyone does. Don’t blame your parents for a shitty job that you don’t want. My parents didn’t want me working when I was in high school either, and I started with a shitty job as well. The difference is I made the choice and committed to finding something better. I found a place that pays $20 an hour for an entry level job. We all usually leave high school at 18-19 years of age, so that gives you 4-5 years that you could have found something better. So…
