That’s a pretty big claim, will you source it?

Concepts like, getting women the right to vote or stopping rape.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/20 07:15 PM

Sure makes a shitload of claims with evidence damn...
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/20 06:26 PM

Where exactly am I supposed to find a definition on such a diverse idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/20 05:32 PM

Wait, you think fights and dead bedrooms and divorce is all the women’s fault? You gotta provide sources on those claims. What’s a shit test?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/20 04:19 PM

If you think that a man who hurts women is perceived as better than a man who doesn’t then you have a misconception.

The parties are all headed by women. This isn’t really the same thing.

People don’t “deserve” friends in the same way they don’t deserve sex. Both of these things come from treating other people in the proper manner. It’s easy to throw the criticism around when it’s valid. If the kid thinks he deserves friends he has the same issue that incels sometimes have.

You’re just describing how relationships of all types work. If you stop putting effort into them they fall apart. Why do we give this definition to “alpha” it sounds like you are just trying to describe a person who cares and has goals. Also you haven’t even really defined an alpha, you just listed an aspect to them; that they have a sexual encounter that is prolonged. Is that the only thing an “alpha” is? Relationships are way more than just a prolonged sexual encounter though. How exactly are …
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/20 05:32 AM
1

So the title of this post is a joke. Just because your goal in life isn’t to get laid, doesn’t mean you won’t. Like 90% of people are alphas if all it takes is one sexual encounter. Where do you set your cut off point?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/20 04:08 AM
1

Lmao. Being “alpha” depends on how many people you seduce? Why would anyone have this as their main goal in life.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/20 03:42 AM
1

It’s contrived. It always seems to be the group people are not part of. The goal posts move and there is no definite definition.

The chad/incel Alpha/Beta stuff is pseudoscience quackery at best. IIRC It’s Based off of a widely criticized study on captive wolves where the author voluntarily with drew/regretted the study.

While this is interesting you didn’t actually provide a source.

Sure, but the claim needs to be supported.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/20 04:39 PM

I’m sure it will be easy to find said research then. This is t the entirety of the claim though. The claim also supposed that some people either are “alphas” (whatever that means) or they aren’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/20 04:38 PM

Of course the numbers for “do you know someone who has been falsely accused of sexual assault” and “have you been false a used of sexual assault” are different. If I have 100 Friends and 10% are false accused of rape, and 50% of those tell me, they I will say that I know people who have been falsely accused. Its just a broader question. You can’t use it as a number for people who have been falsely accused of sexually assaulting someone. Your study on the “50%” number is somewhat irrelevant. It’s…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/20 07:31 AM

Welp, it’s quackery, so unless people are going to actually back it up at some point without using anecdotes, people should stop using it as a line of reasoning. It’s also why I pretty much dismiss 90% of this sub. It’s mostly an echo chamber. If they backed it up, I wouldn’t dismiss it so easily.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/20 06:08 AM

They can say whatever they want but that doesn’t make it true.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/20 05:54 AM

Because anecdotes are a terrible measurement. P.S. The alpha beta stuff is pseudoscience quackery.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/20 03:05 AM

Damn! Thanks for all the sources. I’ll have to go through them when I’m on a computer so I can search key terms. (Looking at that second source with 198 pages) Right away, your first source says that the false report is 1 in 10. Your one in six comes from someone who knows a person who has been falsely accused. Please do not make this mistake again, it is very misleading. This immediately makes me suspicious as to what your other sources say, but I will reserve judgement until I go through them.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/20 02:49 AM
1

That’s interesting. Do you happen to have a link? this source puts false reports below 10%
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/20 11:38 PM

The issue of false reporting is much smaller than people here seem to believe.

What’s wrong with title XI? It looks like anti-discrimination law. Duluth model is widely condemned and I can’t find anything about feminism relating to it. Is advocating for women’s issues the same thing as feminism? If not, what is your definition of feminism?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/20 08:29 AM
2

Addressing women's issues alone doesn't align with gender equality. How many times are we going to rehash this, I already conceded the point. In the case of getting women the right to work or vote it happened to be equality. Modern feminism is nebulous. What do you mean by modern feminism? In what way, if any, is feminism about getting the better of men? Is advocating for women’s issues is not feminism?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/20 07:43 AM
2

Then answer them. I’m not twisting things or playing mental gymnastics. You stated earlier that modern demise is about man-hating, implying that modern day feminism(assuming it’s the pursuit of solving women’s issues) is bad as it is man-hating. An act of modern feminism: the MeToo movement. I already dropped the idea that feminism specifically focus on equality (come on dude, this was several comments ago). It focuses on women’s issues, which in the past have been aligned with equality. Now ans…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/20 07:35 AM
1

Are you unable to answer those 2 questions?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/20 05:56 AM
1

In what way is it about getting the better of men (discounting pinkpill)? So advocating for women’s issues is not feminism?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/20 04:34 AM
1

Hold up. You think it’s bad to advocate for women’s issues? I’ll concede the point that it is not entirely about equality, but it’s also not necessarily about getting the better of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/20 03:44 AM
1

Clearly they did.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/20 03:39 AM

This “beta/alpha” pseudoscience shit gets really annoying.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/20 12:41 AM

In that point in time the two ideas aligned.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/20 07:09 PM

You said feminism was never about gender equality. Getting women the right to vote demonstrates that claim as false.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/20 08:41 AM
1

Prove that claim.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/20 08:40 AM
1

Early feminism was about securing the right to vote. That’s a pretty egalitarian standpoint. I don’t know about the Kobe situation or which feminists are promoting that.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/20 06:57 AM
1

Feminists are a superbly broad and non-uniform group though.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/20 06:56 AM
1

Because they all had different goals and objectives. This is like saying all conservatives are nazis.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/20 05:34 AM
1

It’s actually not what feminism is in a nutshell. You have to separate the different eras.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/20 04:31 AM

It’s not the root of feminism. You can’t throw the whole thing under the bus unless you are delusional
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/20 04:30 AM

Telecom companies don’t actually compete in the states. They’ve divided up the states into regions. It’s an oligopoly. Does Facebook ban/remove conservative ideas?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 09:41 PM
1

Turn it into a public service.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 09:28 PM

Companies support or de-platform for PR reasons, is this what you are talking about? What do you consider reasonable limits on free speech if any?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 09:20 PM
1

Because what I was talking about was the spread of hate not what I think...
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 09:16 PM
1

Views and followers are the only form of power there is on social media. I believe misinformation should be stopped on both sides of the political spectrum. What are your thoughts on freedom of speech? Is it anything goes or are their limits?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 09:14 PM
1

Ok well hold on a minute. Check the edit first. The problem with Ben is that he deliberately spreads misinformation on numerous issues he is not an expert on. His ideas are then spread and they end up hurting people. Do you believe in total, complete and utter freedom of speech?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 09:09 PM
1

I’m ok with that lmao. Shapiro spreads misinformation. Ben is all over YouTube though. Edit: I should amend this. He shouldn’t be removed but he should be countered. I really cannot stand the guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 09:03 PM

YouTube right wingers do in fact have power. Twitter is not organized in subs, but right wing advocates have power their as well.

I don’t post stuff on r/news so yes I’m serious.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 04:25 PM

I disagree. T_D became a super tight echo chamber equivalent to anything other sub out there.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 04:16 PM

Does r/news ban you if you post news that disagrees with them though?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 04:15 PM

This is a completely reasonable thought.

If a company holds power of such a massive amount of communication, should they be treated as a public service, in that they need to follow country laws on censorship, rather than their own prerogative?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 06:53 AM
1

I’m not entirely sure that’s true. The problem with the internet is that it allows people to go and hold extreme views of what they believe without actually questioning them. I bet if you were able to get someone to converse and challenge their views then they would be forced to adapt them. That or they would just get angry about it. I honestly believe this is a problem separate from political ideology though. It’s tribalism and observation bias, two things that are hard to confront for anyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 06:51 AM

r/The_Donald Always been in heavy support of Donald Trump. Used to tester on a more racial and hate-like ledge.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 06:44 AM

I think your projecting a little. I never said anything about other subs. This was straight up only about mgtow. I think your using sjw wrong, and as an insult. If you are against these other subs that you proclaim as hate subs, then you too are an sjw as you are seeking social justice.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 06:43 AM

I’m not totally familiar with the reasons they were quarantined so I can’t comment on that. Wasn’t it about calls to violence and the like, I can’t recall? However they seem to have improved, looking at the top posts of the month and a handful of top comments, they all seem to be reasonable, so it should probably be reinstated as a normal sub, though perhaps not to r/all. r/politics seems to be hated in a lot of places for that reason. If it’s doing as you say (I’m not familiar as I don’t browse…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/20 12:06 AM

What do you mean says who? If you are not allowed to argue with ideas, then why should the ideas you are not allowed to argue with be allowed?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 11:30 PM
3

If it’s a topic that allows no dissenting opinion then it shouldn’t show up on r/all because it’s just spreading ideas that, correct or incorrect, cannot be countered and the correct answer or concept cannot necessarily be found. In essence, if you won’t allow dissent, then we can consider the sub dessert from other people’s ideas, and it should also not be allowed.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 11:27 PM
2

Do they ban people who don’t like chevies? Do they ban people who don’t explicitly have admiration of game of thrones? That’s the difference. The topic is Chevy cars, the topic is game of thrones. It’s not the same as T_D where the topic might be Donald Trump, but it’s only admiration of Donald trump.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 11:05 PM
2

If it’s a safe space where no one else can counter ideas, then it has no reason to spread said ideas about on r/all as it’s simply propaganda. This should go for all subs that do this. If it’s on r/all it should be open to criticism. Safe spaces in the real world are private groups, if they present their ideas in public then they should be open to criticism.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 10:59 PM
2

Then there is no reason for them to show up on r/all
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 10:35 PM
2

Technically it’s not what I said, and it’s certainly not my intent.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 10:35 PM

It seems to be the case that it is in fact a higher attempt rate among females, but the ‘severity’ of the attempt is different. I was just trying to point out the issue was more complex than you gave it credence, not that a death is valued less than an attempted death https://bmcpsychiatry.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12888-017-1398-8

Good thing that’s not what I said.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 10:26 PM

Which is why you need good quality, peer reviewed articles. If it’s supported by meta analysis even better.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 09:16 PM

Seems like it’s been reviews and is ineffective, so should be disbanded.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 08:25 PM
1

That’s why everyone likes the compass memes sub, no censorship.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 08:20 PM
1

LateStageCapitalism is also a shithole for censorship
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 08:16 PM
4

If we are gonna remove censorship of dissenting opinion, then yes, you should be allowed to comment everywhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 08:13 PM
4

The rightness or leftness has nothing to do with censorship. It’s the “anarcho” aspect that allows the freedom. You can also have anarcho communism subs for instance, and they would in theory, not ban people.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 08:10 PM
2

I agree, but that sub didn’t have free speech, if you didn’t absolutely support trump, you would get banned, or so I found in my experience. That’s anecdotal though so I’m not sure how it applies as a general rule. The sub did say it was against the rules though.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 08:07 PM
4

So it’s wrong and counterproductive?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 08:05 PM
2

I have not. Looked it up. Seems to have a lot of criticism.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 08:05 PM
2

This is a debate with no certain answer. Can we educate toxic ideas or is it better to censor them? I am not certain.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 08:03 PM
1

Look, I don’t know how we are supposed to establish that. The fact is, Reddit is already built with a system of censorship. Subs can remove dissenting opinion, downvotes can lead to posting time limits. We don’t have full freedom on Reddit anyway. Should we? Maybe, but we don’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 08:02 PM
4

I have not browsed deep in that sub, because honestly I hate looking through the subs that make me depressed about the state of anger the internet has. If they do the same stuff that MGTOW does then I would probably advocate for equal treatment.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 07:59 PM
5

This depends on your definition of better.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 07:54 PM
1

This is stupid. Everyone, on any sub, left or right, tries to outcast or straight up censor disagreeable opinions.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 07:53 PM
4

I agree with this in part, but then these subs have to be opened to dissenting opinion. Subs like T_D for instance, will ban you if you disagree with trump. Reddit has a built in censorship system, downvotes. It’s not the downvotes themselves, that’s just social ostracism, but they do cause comment timer limits.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 07:52 PM
2

Seems like it’s not as simple as it favouring one group or another as far as men and women are concerned then. That suicide argument ignores the fact that women are more likely to attempt suicide. Some of these are also iffy sources, I’ve got to check them further.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 07:47 PM
2

..... do send me a source for this.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 06:11 PM

What are you on about? Society absolutely favours and benefits certain groups other than just billionaires.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 06:06 PM
6

Feminism isn’t about the hate of men though.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 06:02 PM
2

No?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 06:01 PM
2

You are probably right. I just resent the spread of misinformation. By unfounded, I mean one that isn’t supported by anything academic and/or logically justifiable. I can’t speak for everything posted on mgtow though.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 05:58 PM
7

And the comments aren’t bad. You are right, while I disagree with almost all of it, it should be reinstated.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 05:54 PM
3

I guess I’m an idiot then because our society favours groups I am apart of, and I disagree with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 05:52 PM
5

I honestly was going off of what I last remembered. I was browsing through it and while a lot of it is stupid, it seems comparable to other subs, at least as far as the posts are concerned. It should probably be reinstated, but stop banning dissenting opinion. (Yes all subs need to stop this)
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 05:50 PM
0

I’ll respond to your first part as the second is a red-herring. You are correct propagandistic world view is not good as a single criterion but, it is not the only factor involved. What that propaganda spreads can be more problematic. I believe that MGTOWs’ constant hatred on women is the issue. It’s not productive and arguably leads to real world consequences. If they were to talk about women in a more philosophical manner, or if the sub just stopped posting so much hatred, I wouldn’t have a pr…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 05:44 PM
1

I’m not against the spread of ideologies, just unfounded ones. Redpill is not entirely unfounded, but some aspects of it are. Those unfounded aspects should be discarded. Same goes for every other ideology. Enough “hate” can lead to unfounded discrimination in society, which I am am against. Hatred has been used in many cases to help justify or encourage heinous acts.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 05:26 PM
-1

While I agree in part, subs like MGTOW spread a heavily propagandized worldview (the hating on women aspect and “beta vs alpha”) that is incredibly disturbing. I would argue that it only creates unfounded tensions in society. If the quarantine stops the irrational hate, then I am all for it and it should then be un-quarantined . I’m not against the conversation of philosophical ideas, but I am against the illogical spread of hate.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 05:14 PM
4

Lots of comment sections turned into a blame game, usually pointing at women.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/20 05:01 PM
3

Depends on if they continue to advocate hate or not. Like T_D, if they stop, they can get out. T_D didn’t stop, that’s why it’s still quarantined. Edit: T_D actually appears on par with other subs atm. I was recalling from memory what happened during the last appeal.

There are other forms derived from the same idea.

First off it’s not a study. Secondly, studies can be wrong, biased or even propaganda. I’ll check it. Edit: the article doesn’t link to a study, it links to a statement by planet fitness. The statement makes some claims about the study but doesn’t link to it being published in a peer reviewed journal. While the study may not be incorrect, it is unreliable unless someone can find it in a peer reviewed journal. Another google search reveals that a bunch of websites have used the same “study” as a …

Why did you just throw a random source at me? You are the one who said I was appealing to a false authority. What are you on about?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/20 03:40 PM

Appealing to authority is a fallacy when someone appeals to a FALSE authority. Studies are not a false authority.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/20 03:19 PM

There’s a better three axis one that measures conservative vs progressive.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/20 03:18 PM

They said it can be true for quite a few people. I took that to mean they were applying their some form of experience to a decent population of black women. If it’s more than just an anecdote then it has merit, otherwise it’s just them being aware of 100 people at most.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/20 03:16 PM

I meant something more like data.

/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/20 08:33 AM

Then you must have a source on hand that proves shorter men don’t get dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/20 08:32 AM

Got a source on that extraordinary claim?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/20 07:03 AM

Got evidence for that last part? Ps I think your flair is probably resolved.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/20 06:56 AM

Everyone does this. It’s got various terms but in essence it comes down to cognitive bias. Red pill people think they have it right. Blue pill people think they have it right. Everyone thinks that they have it right. People will believe the world is dark for the same reason people will believe it’s light. They see the world as sark, so they observe the world is dark and vice versa. Red pill and blue pill are such nebulous ideas as well, which doesn’t help.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/20 06:54 AM

The principle isn’t evidence of what you claim... You’re making a guess. It’s a principle about effort, not attractiveness. You are misapplying it.

Have...have you never heard of the political compass? There are way more than two sides lmao.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/20 02:41 AM
2

Boy oh boy are you delusional. You didn’t establish anything. You didn’t even attempt to relate hypergamy to sociopathy. What you wrote about wasn’t hypergamy.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/20 01:56 AM
2

You haven’t established that hypergamy is related to a lack of conscience. You used a bunch of examples of manipulation, not hypergamy. You also didn’t provide an example of a statistical trend. I’m not being obtuse, you simply haven’t established anything. In this comment you only claimed that those few examples require a lack of conscience. You haven’t even proven that these required a lack of conscience.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/20 01:42 AM

Isn’t horseshoe theory bunk in almost all cases? It oversimplifies does much. Like the political spectrum, which has at least three axes.

Yeah, take them with a grain of salt because almost all of them try to apply their tiny little bubble to the entirety of women. If you do that then you are just as bad. Large studies are the only way of getting even the slightest understanding of broad trends. It’s not the experiences that are wrong, it’s their application to a general population that is invalid. I should have been more clear. Half of what you said is just you being mad about your own interpretation of what I said. Stop with the…

The fuck was this about then. You said divorce rape. That’s where this started. If you only cared about divorce leading from marriage then why did you argue all this other crap about rape. Here’s where it began: What do you think why marriages are crap? They are relationships you cannot get out if if they become toxic and you happen to be the men. Because if you do you get divorce raped. Notice the divorce rape and “marriages are crap”. This whole statement was flawed to begin with an we spent h…

Great, so we are getting to the core of your argument. Essentially: Stats don’t matter, it’s about fear and fear is what natters. (In the plane and car examples) Rape isn’t the problem, it’s the marriage and divorce. You haven’t shown that rape is more prevalent in marriages than long term relationships. It probably is, being as though in some backwards parts of the world and even USA marital rape is legal, but take an individual that would engage in a long term relationship just as willingly as…

Imagine trying to live your individual life by all that- Oh no my experience is bullshit because there aren't studies to back them up! My interpretation of things happening to me IRL are invalid! Where is the data telling me what I should be experiencing???? Never said this. Statistics don’t invalidate person experience. I'd rather trust a collection of anecdotes that line up with my own experience regarding IRL interactions with women than some pencil necked deweeb's shitty study drawing some r…

And where is the problem with that? If I really fear dying from the car/plane then I won't enter it. It's as easy as that. That’s a bad argument, people make calculated risks all the time. Beeing divorce raped is something I never ever want to find myself in and the only way to ensure it with a 100% possibility is not to marry. Cool you want zero risk of rape. You can still be raped anyway. You risk this by being in contact with other people. Idgaf what the exact number is. It's enough. Wether i…

You still haven’t given evidence for divorce rapes scale. You claim it’s worse than airplanes but haven’t shown why. You are also trying to apply statistics to individuals, which doesn’t work. You plane comparison is also totally arbitrary, people take much higher statistical risk on a daily basis. All you have done is pointed to some anecdotes. They are anecdotes/personal stories, they are not data points. Here’s an example using your logic that points out it’s flaws: Not every person will get …

Yes and that's exactly the point. In a regular relationship the people would just go part ways if it doesn't work and find someone it works with. If you are married you can't do that. That's the beauty of LTRs, they are not forced. Because of the social expectations of marriage. We could probably do with the deconstruction of the marriage concept. Obviously women will divorce more since they have everything to gain and men have everything to loose. Source? Most common reasons surveyed suggest ot…

What do you think why marriages are crap? In most cases of bad marriages I’m guessing people simply don’t get along in one manner or another. They are relationships you cannot get out if if they become toxic and you happen to be the men. The divorce rate suggests otherwise even if women are more likely to initiate the divorce. Because if you do you get divorce raped. Source on this? That’s a bold claim.

Yup. It’s a method that works for everything on reddit tbh. It was in response to a question on red-pill though so that’s how I concluded. Edit: whether you meant to or not, your implied criticism is reasonable, I will amend the statement.

Hypergamy: the act of marrying a person of superior caste or class. Yeah, you’re gonna have to provide some evidence as to how that is linked to sociopathy or that it even exists in any large scale. Not sure how “marrying up” whatever that looks like, has to do with sociopathy.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/20 06:39 AM

What does hypergamy have to do with sociopathy? Sociopathy only affects a minority of people.

What do all of the responses have in common? They are anecdotal, take them with a grain of salt op. Some basic skeptic rules to follow in order to filter out the bs on red pill subs: 1) Ignore claims made without a source. Remember it’s almost entirely circle-jerking/confirmation bias 2) Beware of claims made using a source. Check it’s reliability and if it links to an academic study. If it doesn’t, don’t trust it. 3) If it does link to a study, check the study to see if it confirms the claims m…

Are TheRedPill and similar movements going to make any difference, or is the rate of people happily married still going to drop and drop every year? IMO TRP is a waste of time as many of its statements are based on a misinterpretation of statistics, what constitutes a fact, and reality in general. Here I will demonstrate some flaws: Right now in my country around 20% of people never marry. Out of the 80% that do, almost two thirds divorce. That leaves us with 32% of the total population, but aro…

If your premises are false but your conclusion is true, then I cannot trust the logic of the explanation to prove anything of value. I need an external source to verify the truth of the conclusion. If the premises are true but the conclusion is false I cannot trust the conclusion, so it is of no value either. Truth is needed in both the premises and conclusion. The conclusion must follow from the premises.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/20 09:39 PM

Exactly this. The posts in this sub really piss me off as they are all based on the faulty premise of everyone having the same attractive ideals and also being able to somehow measure the “value” of a person. Whatever that means.

You gotta admit attractive men are rare as fuck. >High value people in general are a minority (they wouldn’t be so valuable if they weren’t). How can we possibly measure the “value” of people. Different people are attracted to different things, people like different personalities, different lifestyles, different looks. Women with a lot of mileage kind of defy the “women are only attracted to Chads/alphas” narrative. They can NOT have gotten a number that high only fucking high value men- there’s…
