If you like your location there does not seem to be a major need to move...especially since you say you are often working from home.

Wrote a research paper on this recently. There's a great study done on it earlier this year by some economists from MIT. Yes, schools catering towards girls plays a role in boys falling behind girls. However, far and away the number one reason boys fall behind girls is the breakdown of the family unit in recent decades. Boys are much more highly affected than girls when a father is not present in their lives. Making education more "boy-friendly" will definitely help in curbing some of the proble…

You're delusional if you think Fallon Fox would stand a chance with Rousey. Fox isn't even undefeated in minor leagues, wouldn't stand a chance against the greatest female fighter of all time

That's like saying some Arena league team deserves to play the Patriots because they have a winning record

Yes, the Civil War was about slavery. No it was not fought over States's Rights. What you are referencing refers to the "Lost Cause" mythos of thinking that you will see in a lot of post-war literature written by Southerners. Read "Apostles of Disunion" by Charles Dew. Short and interesting read if you are into Civil War History. It has a plethora of primary sources that concern the messengers sent out by South Carolina directly after they seceded. These "apostles" went out to the state legislat…

I see. I just enjoy how logic-based it is. You don't try and be outrageous to make people read your writing...you just make good points and use everyday examples. Keep it up.

I have a similar story: When I was younger, I played for a U9 travel soccer team (8&9 year olds). We practiced twice a week, and at the same time we did, our Soccer Organizations Female U13(12&13 year olds) team practiced on the adjacent field. Every 3 or 4 practices we would scrimmage them for the last 20 minutes or so, about 5 times in all. We dominated. They didn't actually score a goal until the final practice of the season. The point is, generally, males are more athletic than females. Thes…

I'm not 100% sure it's a Men's Rights issue. When it comes to this, both genders can get in a lot of trouble. My mom had a couple pictures of her nieces/nephews and of the kids she nannied for on our computer, and I had to tell her we had to delete them, because not being immediate family, someone could take that the wrong way and in today's society it is a label of automatic guilt.

Probably, but coming from Ryan's point of view, that is the only position that makes sense. Think about it, Ryan believes that human life begins at conception. Thus no matter if the intercourse is rape or not, to Ryan, at conception, the baby is a human being. It's the only logical position for him to have if he believes life begins at conception. And I agree with you, the false rape claims would skyrocket

Kobe had 2 options to prevent this: 1.) Don't marry her 2.) If you do marry her, don't cheat on her constantly I blame him... Then again I am a Laker hater so a little biased

If she specifically accused a person of it, and he was charged, and it was found out she made it up (a la Brian Banks), then she should have to serve the same amount of years that he did. In this case, she is being charged with a filing a false police report. I don't know if anything else is happening, but I hope she gets expelled too if she is a student.

I understand your point, but it's not really an 'innocent until proven guilty' feeling. It's more of an instant assumption that the victim is a liar. For real cases of sexual violence, this sentiment could potentially cause a man or woman to not come forward against their attacker.

It is truly a rash on our campus. The incident before this was about a month ago, when a girl reported at around 4 PM that she was approached by two strangers in a Parking Garage (the most crowded one on campus, and extremely well-lit), chloroformed, and woke up hours later in the backseat of her car. Obviously a lie, but there was uproar on campus about it until the truth came out a week later when she admitted the whole thing was made-up.

From the reaction on facebook, most of my fellow students (male and female) feel pretty similar towards these girls as we do.

I came in here to post about this incident. I go to this school as well, and this is the 4th or 5th false report we have had since Spring. It makes me absolutely sick, and I hope that she is held criminally and financially liable. Nowadays students at our school automatically assume that sexual assault reports are false because of the females who have done this recently. Actual victims of assault may not be believed because of the stupidity, selfishness, and insane desire for attention exhibited…
