If this new policy is in addition to the companies existing sick leave policy then it clearly gives preference to women and should be changed or the sick leave policy should be expanded to cover additional days for men all employees, including men.

Well this is flawed thinking on their part. Women may drop their part but men would make up the difference by purchasing the new product. They might even make more money because both men and women would be using their product. Don’t believe everything big pharma tells you. Thanks for your input.

This is interesting. I’m sure it is much more difficult than I can imagine. On my simplistic mind it should be possible because we have antibiotics that are highly effective and target specific types of organisms. Just because we haven’t done it yet doesn’t mean it isn’t possible. We just need funding.

I’d like to see it move from a nice idea to a reality. It would change so many things. So much of the conversation is about how difficult it would be or how it’s nearly impossible. So many things that were once considered possible are now every day realities. I think this needs to change.

These are all excellent points. Clearly you have given this a lot of thought. I also think that continued research into other methods of BC for women that don’t mess their bodies up so much should continue. The goal ultimately would be to make abortion obsolete. We have the technology and should be using it more effectively.

Exactly this. All of these are reasons there should be a pill for men. Access to it should be as easy as it is for women. Guys like you disprove the theory that men don’t want to be responsible for birth control.

Thanks so much for your response. I disagree that men don’t want the responsibility of birth control but options are so limited for them that it comes down to pregnancy risk or limited pleasure. That what I’m thinking. Most men that I k ow hate condoms and would prefer to wear them on casual encounters for disease prevention if nothing else. Side effects are an issue currently but If we can develop COVID vaccines In short period of time male birth control should be a piece of cake. I suspect that big pharma doesn’t see a market (they are mistaken) or don’t see any money in them.
