She offered an out asking if it was his friends. Because deep down she wants him to apathetic and caving to peer pressure rather than repulsed. My ex fiancé used to get super bitchy when I started martial arts. She tried pulling the "no time for me" card. So I opted out of evening classes and started private lessons at 5am 3x a week. She was still a bitch about it and would go quiet whenever I talked about training to her. Yes but there is no need to go through the same trial and error every time you forge a new tool. If that was how we built things then there would be no master smiths. I have my mother to thank for that. She didn't want to cause pain to myself or my brothers and also saw no benefit worth the risk. I've been creeper shamed by male beta friends. I flirt with women whenever the opportunity arises in almost any situation, because I don't give a shit. The benefit is that OP shows his gf that he is above her morally. That he will not yield to her promising him to secrecy rather than doing the right thing. She will see that he has morals and a code that she can not influence in a negative way. One thing that's helped me is shooting guns. For the first few visits to the range I could barely load a magazine without dropping rounds from flinching at the other people's gunfire. Now though I don't even react to the noise. I'm still aware though of what's going on around me. I just feel less prone to be startled or panic at loud noises etc.
