Yeah my ex of a 3 year LTR seemed to always picked fights whenever I was sick. Biggest test was when I nearly died from a brain tumor last summer and it became clear how little she sympathized. Two days after coming home from brain surgery she came to talk with me about how it traumatized HER to see me incapacitated and how she was doing ME a favor by staying around despite my condition. She didn't spend a cent. My brother took me to the hospital. My father flew in to nurse me. She just posted o…

Not nearly enough information to go on, and you should go to AskTRP for this, but here's my two cents. My assumptions are: - You are white, in your 20s - She is east Asian She's 19, most likely doesn't know what she's doing/what she wants anyway. Dyed her hair blonde to be trendy/rebellious/different. Now, Asians generally hang with other Asians (There are Asian women who ONLY date white guys but that's a different thing). Even the Americanized-Asians have a different culture. If you ever attend…

Gotta say, that's pretty petty man. 10 years of it, no less... Though it IS a good habit to have for sanitary reasons. Always close the lid before you flush. Flushing can create miniature aerosol of waste water that lands on things in the restroom, like your toothbrush. No need to argue, it's not worth the effort. Just do it as long as you have a legit reason.

It's a cultural thing In American high school films, the smart kid is very often awkward, ugly, clumsy, and looked down upon while the jock is cool, drives a nice car, styling, etc. and girls fawn over him. In Asian high school films, the kids that don't perform well are often the funny looking ones with unkempt, dirty clothes and hair. The most popular guy is smart, clean, a gentlemen, often athletic and sometimes rich too. "Nerds" do exist but they're also portrays as dimwitted because they ar…

Something to have in mind is the relative status you have in each country. I came to the US around middle school from Asia. Knowing both my mother tongue and English fluently (none of that 2nd generation "I can speak it but I can't read or write bs) gives me vast advantages in the knowledge and viewpoints I can consume. I believe this background gives my argument some weight. Had I remained in Asia, I would've been living life as an middle~upper-middle class. Family ties around the country also …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
