I relate SO MUCH. I am 18 years old, freshly broken up with my extremely controlling ex. He (17) was so extremely jealous of my guy friends, of my clothes and habits. And I will be honest with you, despite the arguments we had about it, I liked it. Loved it even. Maybe it reminded me of my super strict father or whatever, but I felt it was very masculine of him to be protective and possessive. So while I didn’t necessarily like the rules, I liked the traits he reflected. One way you and I differ…

Love this, agree so much. Especially intelligence, it’s so necesarry for attraction. I think why some women here state that a high value man doesn’t need to have all of these traits is because they missed the point of the label ‘high value’. No of course you don’t need all these traits in a guy to settle with. But this is what you can AIM at, if you yourself of course are high value. I find this list more accurately being ‘high value TRAITS’.

Do i feel attracted to him in a group of men?

A lot of young women, or women new to rpw in general, come here and rant about their situation in which something isnt going according to their wishes. A common trait among them is that they haven’t studied the Wiki, which often answers these questions and worries in great length. You have not listed what his concerns with you are and you don’t seem to have implemented many of the well known techniques such as STFU and Ouch. Also you seem to believe that you giving him sex equates to you getting…

3-4 times a week. 18f and 18m. Do not live together. Have sex multiple times the days we meet. He initiates 90% of the times.

Well with sunscreen and a little luck your not going to visibly age before 35. Anyways, the reason I asked was to gauge put your possibilities of finding another. It seems that they are quuuuuiteeee high. 28 i a great age, just take all your dates seriously and go with an open mind. The US also doesn’t lack in people. What is it that makes you hesitate to confront him? And possibly leave him?

Im not trying to brag, I’m just trying to show you that I, an objective 7/10, gets told by my boyfriend that I’m LITTERLY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN HE HAS EVER SEEN. I know that isn’t what a guy NEEDS to say, but just know that there are guys, who fall so madly in love that they actually believe that, and those are the type of men you should go for. Also, I have super small breasts as well haha, and my bf loves. So don’t do surgery on your breasts, there are men who love small breasts and will ap…

I think a solution is to have a longer period of foreplay, in which you orgasm a while before the penetrative sex. Then while you guys are getting actually into the vaginal sex, you can maybe touch yourself and orgasm again. So that when he is done, you’ve done it two times and may be more satisfied.

No problem. Hope you find it. Its in ‘about’ section. Then you scroll down to ‘the wiki’. From there on i more spesifically recommend reading through ‘everything you need to know anout rpw’

Its also called ‘the wiki’. This subreddit is based upon theory. The sidebar contains the theory for how to become the best woman you can and attract the highest value of a man that is possible for you. I would recommend going there. Try to see if you can find it, it is in the general information section of the subreddit.

Wow this is.. great. I guess you are right, no one wants to take care of a woman who doesnt take care of herself. I dont accept dm’s from anyone(i dont get them since im not on social media), and i dont answer men in public should they flirt. I loved your point on how the important aspect i should consider is our problem solvind skills. Thank you so much, ill read that post you linked. Thanks again! Ill talk to him about the udnerlying reasons.

No you are right. Its certaintly not the hill i want to die on. Its more the controlling aspect i dislike, but ill keep in mind that i can find other ways to feel pretty.

I have a question though. What is ‘too controlling’? How do I know when the line is crossed. And of course there are individualities here, but I also need to look for the experience you women have. I’m thinking clothes and activities. He doesn’t want me to work as a flight attendant for a year after high school for example. And he said that was a DEALBREAKER! For background: I’m taking a gap year after high school, while he finishes. Yea he is one year younger. I’m 18 and he is 17z

I know it’s maybe stupid, but I slept with him. And it was afterwards I found rpw, and I realized wow there is some truth to what my religious parents have been saying, and I feel terrified betting on another guy. Is it even possible to vet while in the relationship? (No I’m not religious myself)

His primary concern is me being flirted with I guess, and he does think I’m too friendly. Here is the problem: I don’t want to lose my friendliness kind off. It’s like he wants me to harden? And while I’m probably on the lower end of the agreeableness scale, I’m trying to work on becoming more feminine. How would you suggest I handle the situation should he for example say - no you can’t wear that tank top. Should I comply? Because I mean I do want a leader, or should I say ‘I can’t’. He has tol…

I really do understand what you mean. I guess I have been gaming with my bf and his friends lately, and I want to seem like a.. girl. But not sexually, I just want him to have a girl on his arms, and to flaunt her a little bit. Gaming with dudes kind of makes me so masculine sometimes, and it’s nice to have ‘girl’ included in my identity. I get really nervous around his guy friends, and one mistake I made in middle school was trying to become too much of ‘one of the guys’. I want to be feminine …

Yes exactly! I understand like unconsciously women tend to pamper themselves as an advantage in the social and mating sense, but despite being conscious of that - I guess I’m just so much more conservative than the rest of the 18 year olds in SCANDINAVIA, that it seems stupid of him to see it as me trying to attract guys.

Haha I get what you mean with all the discord kittens and stuff. I have like five friends on discord, and the picture isn’t of my face or my body. It’s yk, my hair. It is like a mirror pic, but from the back of my head. The reason I’m kind of stuck on this is well nr 1 I don’t want to give him that level of control. Nr 2, since I have no social media presence whatever eksluding discord and Reddit, it’s kind of nice to being able to present yourself as a girl? Does that make sense? Maybe this is …

Thank you so much! I used to become like mad and cry and yell at him for his more ugly remarks, but it doesn’t seem as effective as convincing him that there is no problem. And yes, we were both born in Scandinavia where the divorce rate and feminism is REALLY high, so at least he doesn’t have a role model for a traditional relationship I think, which maybe have radicalized him.

Thank you so much! While im not muslim myself, I have an understanding for how religion reinforces some basic human nature such as mate protection and stuff like that. He does the same, and never posts or anything, however i dont value that myself. I just dont Get jealous the way he does ig. He does however do other things I value such as the list I posted in a comment. He used to be aggressive, and said some really ugly things as ‘oh you are going to wear that so other men can stare at you?’. T…

Hi! I get it being kind of weird. But I’m not Muslim! I live in a liberal country and I was born here. I don’t pray or believe in god, I just have the perspective of a traditional culture as well. But my boyfriend is ethnically from here, yk white:)

Yes you are right. As I think someone else said: skipping over hook up culture has not given me much experience for what is normal or not. I do actually invest a lot of in this relationship. My parents are Muslim, and while my dad doesn’t know about the relationship, my mom found out, and it has lead to a lot of problems. She has the opinion that it will end because all non Muslims are just jumping from relationship to relationship, and I really don’t want to confirm that for her. It’s just that…

Hi u/ratchedangle. You hit the nail in the head a couple times. I did post a comment clarifying what I meant by traditional. But yes, whatever happens with him I feel so much shame that I slept with him so early. I didn’t discover rpw until after like 6 months, so I wonder if it is too late for vetting? Anyhow, he has matured a little and is less controlling now, so I hope it will get better. For the profile pic, I said no, that I wouldn’t, and he said ok. Progress?

I don’t know why Reddit won’t let me edit the post but here is a general response for most of the questions I have gotten: EDIT: thank you for the great replies. I think what i struggle with is that i found rpw AFTER i got with him. And vetting him now.. 1 year into the relationship and after ive slept with him is really scary. I feel like I’m kind of stuck, but of course he has great redeeming qualities: What i mean when i say traditional, (sorry i didnt make it clear), is that he pays for our …

Your views dont match with the rpw subreddit. In the wiki there is a lot of theory which this subreddit is based upon. You can look there if you want. But a feminist view in which women are opressed and everything is social conditioning… it doesnt betong here. And we will end up just fighting forever.

Listen, I believed the same as you. I live in a very liberal country and the lens through which you see the world is the norm here. I think our fundamental disagreement comes from two things. The nurture vs nature debate, and some assumptions you have about me/rpw. I do believe attraction and behavior largely stem from biology and genes. You believe it’s all social conditioning. Both these aspects of human behavious are well established. I would recommend you to broaden your world view a little.…

Many people have given you so much great advice but you seem kind of stubborn for change. Most of what you are saying is that you are trying hard and the men are trash. Which is true. Do you want a husband? Be wife material. Wife material doesnt swipe on apps used for casual sex. BY DEFAULT most of those men are going to see you as a casual sex project. Honestly, just get a life. You are 20, you dont need to wipe on dating apps. Youll find someone just like everyone else have for the last thousa…

According to evolutionary phycology and studies. I’ll give you a little crash course. While we have changed our environment drastically, our bodies and minds evolved during Homo Sapien’s hunter-gatherer period, which lasted approximately 200 000 years. During this period the men’s greater size and strength was great for protection and hunting. And every time a woman had sex, she could become pregnant. Women who preferred to sleep with strong, protective and caring men had offspring with better c…

I have nexplanon. I dont think it affected my sec drive too much but after ten months in going to take it out now. This is because the mood swings have been horrible. And I saw this videos recently: Jordan Peterson interviewing this doctor on the hidden effects on hormonal birth control for woman. Skip 1 hour and 14 minutes in and they start talking about hormonal birth control. I would really recommend not getting nexplanon… Here is the link: https://youtu.be/EzDucLhmI50?si=CHX-3cwLYjcK1TKp

Hey I get being envious. But… it is a really good and solid pace for 7 months. I have a question: So here are two guys. Nr 1 falls in love and gets really generous with the girl. He doesn’t wait until they are married before he starts treating her like a princess. While this may be really charming he is easy to take advantage of. He is risky. Nr 2 seems like a gentleman. He pays for dates, but doesn’t do anything too extravagant. He wants to be a provider but he will wait until he is certain he …

I totally get you, I live in norway but my parents are afghan born. In our culture as well - it isn’t a question of making the man provide. It is simply his duty, it’s not something the woman has to earn. But in those cultures men also have an expected leader role and unlimited respect from the woman. Both these things are expected so it doesn’t seem like a ‘transaction’. In western culture it’s a choice.

I disagree with Jewelry_lover. You can inspire a man to provide. It is a natural wish from women and a natural responsibility men feel. Providing is the same as protecting, (protecting from hunger and cold). To inspire protectiveness from a man you have to seem like you need it. And you need to seem stable and safe, (yk not cheat and flee). It honestly seems like you are on a great track. Those books tell you all about how to make a man feel manly. Tell me, how long have you two been together? H…

‘I once read that a guy not doing enough of the right things is as valid of a reason to leave as a guy being abusive or controlling and it stuck with me‘ … no. Listen if you genuienly think you will find mr perfect, then go ahead and throw a nice relationship away. But it is those kind of standards that will leave you single and bitter. Every relationship will have one person that is more attached than the other. And things seem better when it is the girl. I would advise you to just wait a littl…

Is he the jealous type? I know actively making him jealous is not recommended here. But with my own boyfriend, when he does find out I had an interesting conversation with a guy, he often gets really suddenly competitive and will try to be better than him. I am not recommending being manipulative and crushing your guys self esteem, but maybe you can ask him … ‘hi bf, josh asked me this incredible question yesterday and I was wondering what your answer would be like. You know josh is kind of an a…

You are in the wrong here. Of course any guy with self respect doesn’t want their girlfriend to travel alone away from him. It goes against all their protective instincts! I don’t think you are purely selfish, I believe you may lack an understanding for your man. Yeah… listen i totally get wanting to feel pretty and all that. But solo dating and traveling is an extreme way to accomplish that. Give him an ultimatum that he will travel with you, else you will travel alone. (Of course should money …

Great question! I do think my boyfriend and I are on the little more strict side: His rules: no skirts on the shorter side, dont hang out with guys, can't accept food from other guy friends, no going in the military, no coloring hair, no posting on social media(I don't own any of the social media apps anyways), no clothes with lace on, shorts at the beach, etc My rules: No porn, take care of me, kind of 'make up' for restricting me with your rules. Not all of these are talked about, but its re…

I think becoming friends with older women may help you. Which country are you moving to if i may ask? Maybe they have some form of religions group thing going on. There you can find women most likely older and more mature, who can guide you in your times of stress!

I know this kind of falls outside of your preferred routines or advices, but I wanna suggest making a female friend!! Or alternatively talking with a female lady on the phone while you make a friend in the new country. Maybe some women may understand and relate to you better? That way you can unload on them, and feel less of a need to talk with him

I really get feeling more beautiful will increase the frequency of sec for you guys. Do you think there are other beauty routines you could get in place BEFORE expensive treatments? For example sprinting, dancing, wearing lingerie and oiling you hair? These are a little more inexpensive ways to feel more beautiful. And if he notices a change in his attraction for you, and he feels you have done these basic things, then he may feel more open to spending a little on treatments in the future! While…

You are brave, and I can see you have taken what rpw offers to heart when you are so dedicated in helping your marriage. I want to remind you that men often don’t communicate the same way we do. They don’t use examples or address the specifics as much, verbally at least - this I have experienced a thousands times with my own boyfriend. While I know that saying he doesn’t love you is a pretty significant ‘detail’, it seems like you guys had a mostly non-verbal rekindling. This is a good sign! I c…
