Not to be that guy, but this post is kind of bullshit. I have Cerebral Palsy, I'm pale, I'm pretty skinnyfat, I use crutches and my only relationship was an LDR that sent me down the spiral of depression that ultimately lead me here. I haven't gotten laid since, but I get numbers pretty frequently, and I'm confident that I would get laid if I wasn't one of those guys who thinks there's no such thing as game. I guess I'm sort of MGTOW myself at this point, only not really. Point being, you're fre…

Be the life of a party once. Get people amped. Be the dude dancing when no other dude is dancing. I've done this every now and then. Girls usually kiss me on the cheek or something. If nothing else, you've made me realize that I'm way too "safe" now that I've gotten older. Safe is fucking boring. I need to be more polarizing at least.

Disabled guy here, Cerebral Palsy to be exact. I say encourage him to work. It will increase his people skills. Shit I'm one of the most introverted and withdrawn people out there and I've gotten way better just by being forced to interact with clients. May sound corny but one of the parts of my day I look forward to is talking to the Uber driver on the way home. If you told me that a year ago I would have laughed. All that said, some of the stuff said in this thread is true. From what I remembe…

Yeah I have a tendency to attract the attention whores for whatever reason so I wouldn't doubt it. Back to the drawing board we go.

True, but it's not like I haven't suggested a meetup a couple times already. I guess I'll just chill for a few days and maybe try again if I'm bored.

I actually got sexual very fast with this one. She's snapped me racy photos a couple times already and I've kept it sexual throughout. Perhaps too much so. Is it possible that I might have scared her away?

Yeah, it's depression without a doubt. I learned that putting your happiness all into one person is the wrong way to go since when they leave you end up feeling lost. I'm still recovering and getting on the right path of not putting all my eggs in one basket ever again. It's a slow process but I know I'll get there as long as I don't stop.

If you've ever seen the show Breaking Bad think Walt Jr. minus the speech problem. If not, I walk with arm crutches, a pretty severe slump in my back and my knees bent. It also effects fine motor skills so doing some of the most trivial shit for me can sometimes be very difficult. (ex:tying my shoes, cutting food with a knife, cooking.) Driving may also prove to be pretty difficult but I'm exploring my options for hand controls with the help of a state run rehab center. It's taking much longer t…

Exactly, but my point is that LTR worthy women seem to be so few and far between that I pretty much default to never getting attached anymore regardless of whether I like a girl or not I just kind of assume that there's probably some red flags I'm missing. I guess I've been let down quite a lot.

Yeah dude, that's exactly where I wanna be. I don't mean to come off as a whiny little bitch even if I do. I'm not opposed to paying my dues and putting my time in at the bottom. I will work my ass off if given the opportunity. But lately what I've realized is that I'm probably not even going to be given the opportunity as easily as most people would be, and I'm going to have to make my own opportunities.

It's not like I'm an idiot. I have a STEM degree too, I'm working on a couple more certifications in my down time but I have literally no work experience. So I've been dealing with the catch 22 of needing experience to get a job and needing a job to get experience. Should I just lie? Because of all the interviews I've done, HR doesn't really give a shit about a feel good story or how much I'd be a team player.

He may not be similarly disabled per se, but Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones has always been pretty inspirational. One of his quotes being "Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you."

Absolutely, granted I can't really do a variety of crazy positions but my ex was always satisfied. Sex wasn't the reason she left.

Yeah, I mean, I'm very smart. I'm quick witted when I want to be. I'm introverted, but not a social retard. I can adapt and be the "Life of the party" when I'm in the mood, using my disability as a springboard of sorts to set myself apart from others. Most girls who really get to know me will see these qualities in me. The problem is that a lot of them just take me off of their radar instantly and don't even bother. It's a gift and a curse of sorts, because it's like a built in filter for the wo…

I'd probably be capable of leg press. I also used to love those pedal bikes that are on an incline. Not sure what they're called. Never tried rowing but maybe I will. I can sprint for short periods, although not very fast. As of right now I've been just doing a lot of bodyweight excercises at home. Pushups situps, etc. not sure about bodyfat my height and weight is about 5'2 and between 120-130 my frame is starting to become skinnyfat if that makes sense. Let me chime in. I have cerebral palsy and a lazy right eye. My advice to you is to stop giving a fuck. Truth is we all have it hard one way or another, my ex dumped me because she felt like I would be too much of a burden. While it hurt at the time, I've since reframed it as being her loss. Depending on how bad it is you might just be in a situation where girls will have to get to know you a bit first, and even at that point, you have to own the shit. It's hard to have abundance mentality witho…

Absolutely. Just easy to fall into this mindset when I feel like it's been forever since something has gone genuinely well for me. I used to be very positive and upbeat. I'm becoming weary and jaded now.

You're right. I need to man up. I have serious oneitis for this girl since she's honestly my first serious relationship. She showed me that someone could love me despite my flaws. I ignored her huge red flag of being clinically depressed because I felt as if someone to depend on was all she needed. And for a long time that was true. But ultimately she's miserable with our relationship despite me having the utmost amount of patience with her. She "loves me but is no longer in love." Which to me i…

Mostly video games and TV. I stopped drinking lately, although it was never a vice to begin with. Sticking to water and I feel a lot better just as a side note.

This is relevant to my interests too, as I have Cerebral Palsy. I'll expand on it tomorrow, but basically I feel as if disability is naturally repulsive and no matter what I do to improve, my SMV has a pretty low ceiling by default. I know that this is a toxic mind state, but it's been difficult for me when trying to improve and not seeing desired results.

That's exactly what I've been feeling for a while now, They're in ass covering mode and are reluctant to hire because they don't know what they're getting. I've even had a couple places ask me if I'd like to work in sort of a "try before you buy" scenario, I wasn't too thrilled at the proposition but I didn't let it show and graciously accepted. Nevertheless, I followed up with both companies and never received a call back. So IMO, while companies say that they're equal opportunity, it all boils…

I would call it moderate. Effects fine motor skills and my walking mostly. Driving would be difficult but I'm going to try to pursue it regardless and it's one of the things I'll bring up with the disability case worker in addition to trying to get in connection with disability organizations. It's just frustrating since I know I have the knowledge and can be an asset to a company in terms of learning whatever they need. Hope everything went well with chemo man. I say that it won't be typical simply because the CP effects my legs and fine motor skills most heavily. My upper body is pretty strong, but i would call it weak in comparison to someone able bodied. I've thought about just going for a walk for as long as I can stand it at park by my house. Doing it every day or every few days. I think cardio is my biggest issue right now. From there, I may progress into some lifting. It's small but it's a start.

I ended up not even going at all. My buddies asked me to spend the day with them and by the time we got back it ended up being really late. Texted the guy having the party but he was already passed out at that point. Told him the next morning that I'd have a couple drinks with him some other time since I couldn't make it. Turns out she didn't end up going either. All very anticlimactic I know. Would have made a great story if she was riding my cock by nights end, but that's life.
/r/askTRP05/06/15 12:25 AM

I can see that side certainly, but by that logic she's the center of attention. She's not the only reason I'm going. I was going to show support for a mutual male friend who I care about much more than her. Everything else is secondary.
/r/askTRP29/05/15 07:15 PM

I think you're right about the whole vulnerability thing. But I also feel there needs to be a balance. I fucked up by letting my feelings consume me and putting her on the pedestal. My game was weak and she saw it. I told her everything short of I love you and she didn't reciprocate at all. So I'm doubting my chances with her, but I may feel things out and go for something if the vibe is right. It's really been a while. But if not, no big loss. Plenty of others to talk to.

Yeah that's pretty much my mindset. Went into a sort of mini monk mode and the thought kept coming up. I wouldn't say I have the pill fully digested but I'm getting there considering how I used to think so much about the right things to say and probably missed a ton of opportunities because of it.

In my experience, Alpha is a state of mind more than anything. I try not to get caught up in the whole alpha/beta label shit and just try to improve myself every day.Suicide is cowardly. Just hoping I can get on my feet and be successful even if it takes me longer than most. Hopefully I find a woman who can see the amount of work and determination that I'm willing to put in and sees me as even more alpha because of it. Hasn't really worked out yet, but at least I'm not a virgin. I'll be patient.

I would just need someone to take me to and from whatever facility. I'll look into it harder. As far as my mom goes, they do bear most of the load, but it's as if they expect me to sit home and notify them if things go wrong, and I feel as if they resent me for not being able to do more of the physical work when it comes to her.

Thanks for the solid advice. As far as certs go, I already have a CCNA R&S. I started with comptia sec+ and net+ and pretty much got bored because school gave me a lot of background regarding that material. I never went and got the actual certs but I did blow through the material in about a week. I may go back and get them simply because they're required for DoD type government work as far as I know. This is debatable IMO, I can still make a very respectable salary as a Network guy, but the entire landscape is shifting toward programming and automation so I see where you're coming from. I've even been looking into learning programming since after I got my CCNA so there's that.

Symptoms are mild given the range of severity that CP has. I can work, but the circumstances would have to be ideal for me, and given that I don't have any experience in my field, I don't have too much leverage to just set up a corporation's IT Network from home. I graduated with a degree in computer engineering in May of last year. Finding employment has been difficult for the reasons listed, although I'm confident I will eventually. My family helps me now. Some things are big and others are small. For example, I don't drive, because my reaction time is very slow and I'm also very jumpy. It would be incredibly difficult to lift heavy things. It's also incredibly difficult for me to do some things as mundane as tying my shoes or cutting a piece of meat sometimes. It's actually sort of embarassing to admit. The way she worded it was that she doesn't think I can be a man in the typical sense. She's probably right, and it's stuc…

This was also a very good post. I still think she does genuinely care about me. I think we want each other to succeed. We're both young, and for now I think no contact is my best course of action. The thought of her being with other people almost brings me to tears. But I do know she still cares a great deal. I'm just struggling now with the idea of whether it would be worth it to keep someone like that around or just let things fade after a while. We've even talked about seeing each other again…

This post was very helpful and something I needed to hear. I'm constantly thinking about the mistakes I made. How I gave her control by dealing with her bullshit. Not to jack OPs thread, but I was in a similar situation, only difference is that she broke it off citing that she needed proximity from someone, which I understand. After a day or 2 of NC she asked if we could think about being fuck buddies. I'm still learning, and still fairly BP So I'm not sure how to handle this one. I think I need to bang other girls, or at least have more time apart before I consider it. I'm also not sure if she's just keeping me around to have her cake and eat it too.

I made a thread here the other day describing my experience, and I'm still relatively a noob when it comes to TRP, but I'm 24 with a physical disability. All my life I've felt like I'm at a disadvantage. I've felt like I was damaged goods. Was tired of being alone a couple years ago so I decided to go on OKCupid. Messaged a girl 100 miles away because all the girls in my area had rejected. Wasn't expecting much out of it but it ended up turning into a long distance relationship for almost 2 year…

The Disability is somewhat moderate I would say. I can still walk, talk, have intelligent conversation. Things with body language and standing up straight and having correct posture is difficult. I may be able to drive one day, but until I improve fine motor skills it would be difficult.
