Diamonds have intrinsic value, but no more than industrial diamonds (hard motherfuckers used for mining/drill bits) I think of diamond rings like ferrero rocher: sure, its expensive and cheaper stuff would do the job fine (Moissanite and cheap chocolate respectively) or you can do better with the same amount of money (gold or actual Belgian chocolate). Hell, why do you need either?

No, i eat quite a bit (think a chipotle burrito+chips for lunch) and I lift weights at the gym plus discus+shotput for track and field, but additional muscle just doesn't stick for some reason.

However, we all have the potential to benefit from roads, even if we don't drive. UPS uses the same roads as we do, and friends usually use roads to come to you. When it comes to insurance, I sure as hell dont benefit from paying for cervical cancer research and treatment. Roads and vaccines have a positive spillover effect thus making public taxing effective; personal health, not so much.

Kinda off topic, but I know that astronaut candidates (for the Apollo missions) were rejected solely on the basis of height, as certain body shapes/sizes were unsafe for space travel in capsules. Now imagine if today's "everyone has an equal chance" mentality was present in the moon race.
